Jonkerslân

Bontebok is a village in Heerenveen in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 400 in 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1640 as Bonte Bock, and is named after an inn which used a goat as a sign board. Bontebok developed during the peat excavation of the area. The inn was located near a sluice where boatmen had to wait. The inn was later joined by a couple of shops and pubs, and a hamlet developed. In 1840, Bontebok was home to 46 people. In 1898, a dairy factory opened in Bontebok.

Gorredijk (West Frisian: De Gordyk) is the largest town in the municipality of Opsterland, in the Dutch province of Friesland. Gorredijk had a population of 7,360 in 2019. The hamlets of Easterein and Kortezwaag are also part of the town. The latter was an independent village until 1962. Gorredijk and Kortezwaag then formed a double village as Gorredijk-Kortezwaag, but after a few years it was decided to shorten this to Gorredijk, so the older Kortezwaag became a neighborhood of Gorredijk in 1969.

Nieuwehorne (West Frisian: Nijhoarne) is a village in Heerenveen in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1,450 in January 2017.

Langezwaag (West Frisian: Langsweagen) is a village in the municipality of Opsterland in the east of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1,365 in January 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1315 as Utresuagh, and means "long meadow with caddle". Lange (long) has been added to distinguish from Kortezwaag. Kortezwaag was annexed by Gorredijk in 1962 and is now a neighbourhood. The Dutch Reformed church was built in 1781 as a replacement of a medieval church. Langezwaag was home to 956 people in 1840.

Terwispel is a village in the municipality of Opsterland in the east of Friesland, the Netherlands. Its neighbouring villages are Tijnje (west), Nij Beets (north-west), Beetsterzwaag (north), Lippenhuizen (south-east), Gorredijk (South), Langezwaag (south-west) and Luxwoude (also south-west). It had a population of around 1,020 in January 2017.

Oudehorne (West Frisian: Aldehoarne) is a village in Heerenveen in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 835 in January 2017.

Mildam (West Frisian: Mildaam) is a village in Heerenveen in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 685 in January 2017.Louis Le Roy's "eco-cathedral" is located here. There is a windmill in the village, De Tjongermolen.

De Tjongermolen is a smock mill in Mildam, Friesland, Netherlands which was built in 1918, replacing a mill that had blown down and rebuilt on a new site in 1983. The mill has been restored to working order. It is listed as a Rijksmonument.

Tijnje (West Frisian: De Tynje) is a village in the municipality of Opsterland in the east of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1,510 in January 2017.There are two windmills in the village, Boezemmolen and De Deelen. The latter is a tjasker.
