Harringay (pronounced HARR-ing-gay) is a district of north London, England, within the London Borough of Haringey. It is centred on the section of Green Lanes running between the New River, where it crosses Green Lanes by Finsbury Park, and Duckett's Common, near Turnpike Lane.

Duckett's Common, together with Green Gate Common, form a public park in Harringay, in the London Borough of Haringey. The park is located opposite Turnpike Lane Underground station, on Green Lanes. It offers several amenities including an outdoor gym and basketball courts.Green Gate Common is a small area of open space located just across Green Lanes from Ducketts Common, and it is thought that air raid shelters may exist beneath it.The name "Ducketts" originated from Laurence Duket, a thirteenth-century landowner. The Tottenham Urban District Council converted the common into a recreation ground in 1900. Those works included the planting of 140 trees; a further 30 trees were provided by the Metropolitan Public Gardens Association in 1912. Many of the original trees survive.The wildflower meadows on Duckett's Common contain more than 30 wildflowers native to the area. They have been established since 2011 in more than 10,000 volunteer hours by members of ChristChurch London, other Christians from around the Turnpike Lane area and local residents. The wildflower meadows are summer meadows with one hay cut in mid-August and a second towards the end of the year. Many insects such as various bumble bees, butterflies and wild solitary bees are attracted by the nectar rich wildflowers. ChristChurch, London also purchased and planted more than 10,000 spring bulbs (two crocus varieties and snowdrops) which provide a rich colour tapestry during the early months of the year.

Duckett's Green is an area of north London, England in the United Kingdom and part of the London Borough of Haringey. It is an inner-suburban area located 5.8 miles (9.4 km) north of Charing Cross. The area is mainly residential and borders Duckett's Common. Its area is roughly defined by West Green Road to the south-west, Belmont Road to the south-east, Ivatt Way and Langham Road to the north-east, Westbury Avenue to the north and Turnpike Lane Bus Station to the north-west.

The Church of St Paul the Apostle, Wightman Road, Harringay, London, N4, serves the parish of Harringay in north London. In ecclesiastical terms the parish is part of the Edmonton Episcopal Area of the Diocese of London. In political terms the parish is in the London Borough of Haringey. In 1984 the nineteenth-century church building was destroyed by fire, and the present iconic building was opened in 1993, designed by London architects Peter Inskip and Peter Jenkins. In September 2018, the church was revitalised with the support of Christ Church Mayfair. There are two services on Sundays: Holy Communion at 9:30am and an Informal service at 11:00am. The parish of Harringay is situated at one corner of what was formerly part of Hornsey parish, adjacent to Stoke Newington parish.

Railway Fields is a Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade I, in Harringay the London Borough of Haringey. About one hectare in area, it was a railway goods yard until 1967. The park also contains a pond which is most commonly the home of the Common frog and the Blue-tailed damselfly.

Turnpike Lane is a London Underground station at Turnpike Lane in the London Borough of Haringey in north London, England. The station is on the northeastern part of Piccadilly line between Manor House and Wood Green. The station was opened on 19 September 1932 as part of the Cockfosters extension. It is in Travelcard Zone 3.

Basketball at the 1948 Summer Olympics was the second appearance of the sport of basketball as an official Olympic medal event. A total number of 23 nations entered the competition. Olympic basketball returned to indoor competition in Harringay Arena, after the disastrous weather conditions of the final game in the 1936 Summer Olympics.

Harringay Arena was a sporting and events venue on Green Lanes in Harringay, North London, England. Built in 1936, it lasted as a venue until 1958.

Harringay Stadium was a major greyhound racing and motorcycle speedway venue in Harringay, north London. It was built and opened in 1927 and closed in 1987.
