The station officially launched on FM on Sunday 13 January 2008 after running online for seven years. Youthcomm Radio was established in 1996. Youthcomm broadcasts from studios in the St Johns area of Worcester, with their transmitter located in the Ronkswood area of Worcester. This high transmitter location provides a large coverage area, spanning across the county of Worcestershire. Shows include 'Owen Lowe In The Morning', and 'James Martin in the Afertnoon' every weekday. The tagline for Youthcomm is 'Worcestershire's Hit Music Station'.

Ronkswood is a suburb of the city of Worcester, the county seat of Worcestershire, England. It is around one mile east of the city centre, centred on Newtown Road (B4636). Much of the Ronkswood housing estate was built in the late 1940s.

Whittington Tump or Crookbarrow Hill is a partly artificial mound in central Worcestershire, England. There is evidence of prehistoric activity at the site and may have been used as a religious site or burial mound. A Romano-British settlement was established nearby in the early 2nd century AD but was apparently abandoned by the 4th century. An Anglo-Saxon enclosure was established on Whittington Tump by the 7th century and during the mediaeval period it is thought to have been the site of a motte castle. Crookbarrow Manor was established at the foot of the hill by 1314 and the site, including the former motte, was given over to agricultural use. The site was listed as a scheduled monument in 1923 and is a landmark for motorists on the nearby M5 motorway.

Warndon is a suburb and civil parish of the City of Worcester in Worcestershire, England. The parish, which includes the villages of Trotshill and Warndon was part of Droitwich Rural District until 1974 when it was annexed to Worcester under the Local Government Act 1972. It had a population of 10,237 in 2001.

Worcestershire ( (listen) WUUS-tər-shər, -⁠sheer; written abbreviation: Worcs) is a county in the West Midlands of England. The area that is now Worcestershire was absorbed into the unified Kingdom of England in 927, at which time it was constituted as a county (see History of Worcestershire). Over the centuries the county borders have been modified, but it was not until 1844 that substantial changes were made. This culminated with the abolition of Worcestershire in 1974 with its northern area becoming part of the West Midlands and the rest part of the county of Hereford and Worcester. However, in 1998 the county of Hereford and Worcester was abolished and Worcestershire was reconstituted without the northern area, which was ceded to the West Midlands.
