Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status in Runcorn, Cheshire.The school is named after Henry Bolingbroke, who became King Henry IV of England. The school is sponsored by the Ormiston Academies Trust. Brookvale Comprehensive School merged with Norton Priory School and was renamed Halton High School. Halton was converted to academy status in September 2010 and was renamed Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy. Though it is no longer a community school directly administered by Halton Borough Council, Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy continues to coordinate with Halton Borough Council for admissions.In 2017, the school caused controversy when it banned a student, who had been undergoing cancer treatment, from attending prom due to her lack of school attendance.

Town Park is a large urban park in Runcorn, Cheshire, England. Town Park was created as an integral part of the original Runcorn New Town development with the aim of forming a central landscape feature for local residents. The creation of Town Park preserved nearly 157 hectares of existing woodlands and undulating grassland. The park was planned to link the New Town centre with local centres via green corridors and included large areas of open grassland and woodland as well as buildings for recreational and cultural activities. Halton Miniature Railway (opened in 1979), Runcorn Ski Slope and Norton Priory Museum and Gardens sit within the park boundaries. In July 2010, a new play area was created at Stockham Lane adjacent to the miniature railway. From July 2017, the park was staffed with two full time park workers for the first time since the early 1990s, funded by the Viridor Runcorn Energy from Waste plant. In 2018, the Council adopted a Masterplan for Town Park which would see footpaths widened and three themed hubs created across the park.

It is 2 miles (3.2 km) northeast of Frodsham and 2.5 miles (4 km) south of Runcorn. According to the United Kingdom Census 2011, it had a population of 495 and a total land area of 3,198 sq metres (m2) (thousands). The village has 206 Households with some of the main industries of the village being Wholesale and Retail Trade, Human Health and Social Work Activities and Manufacturing; These three sectors alone account for 36.5% of Occupational Share.

Hallwood is a former mansion house in Runcorn, Cheshire, England. One wing of the house remains and was a public house called the Tricorn until its closure in 2017. Its former stables were converted into a function room for the public house. The remaining wing of Hallwood is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building; the former stables are listed at Grade II.

Sutton Hall is a historic farmhouse, south of the village of Sutton Weaver in Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.The hall dates from the late 15th or early 16th century, and it was extended in the late 17th and early 19th century. It is built in brown brick in two storeys with attics. Internally there are two superimposed great halls which are a "feature of unique interest". Figueirdo and Treuherz consider that it is "one of the most important and least known late medieval timber-framed houses in Cheshire".The associated barn and shippon, which date from the late 17th century, are listed at Grade II. Also listed at Grade II is a circular feeding trough in the farmyard dating from the 19th century, which is made from a single stone and measures almost 2 metres across and 1 metre high. The hall is now a farmhouse, and the barn has been converted for residential use.
