Kate's Cottage, Isle of Man

Keppel Gate, Isle of Man (locally ) is part of a former UK HM Commissioners of Woods and Forest estate, including a series of former highway mountain gates. It is now Common land in public ownership and is one of three purpose built former Crown Road sections of the A18 Snaefell Mountain Road used for the Isle of Man TT races. The area of Keppel Gate including a nearby private residence of Kate's Cottage at the adjacent 34th TT Milestone road-side marker is located between the 4th Milestone and 5th Milestone road-side markers on the primary A18 Snaefell Mountain Road in the parish district of Kirk Onchan in the Isle of Man.

Creg-ny-Baa (English: , Manx: [ˈkʰɾɛɡ nə ˈbɛ]; 'rock of the cow') is located between the 3rd Milestone and 4th Milestone of the primary A18 Snaefell Mountain Road and the road junction with the secondary B12 'Creg-ny-Baa Back-Road', in the parish of Kirk Onchan in the Isle of Man.

Gob-ny-Geay (or Gob ny geayee, in Manx Gaelic the mouth of the wind) is situated at the 35th Milestone on the Snaefell Mountain Course on the primary A18 Mountain Road in the parish of Onchan in the Isle of Man. Gob-ny-Geay was part of the Highland Course and Four Inch Course used for the Gordon Bennett Trial and Tourist Trophy car races between 1904 and 1922. The Gob-ny-Geay straight is part of the Mountain Course used since 1911 for the Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix races.

Brandish Corner (formerly known as Upper-Hillberry Corner and previously Telegraph Hill) is situated between the 35th and 36th Milestone road-side markers on the Snaefell Mountain Course on the primary A18 Mountain Road in the parish of Onchan in the Isle of Man. The road was re-engineered in recent years. Brandish Corner was part of the Highland Course and Four Inch Course used for the Gordon Bennett Trial and Tourist Trophy car races held between 1904 and 1922. Brandish Corner is part of the Snaefell Mountain Course used since 1911 for the Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix races.This part of the Mountain Course was named Brandish Corner after Walter Brandish who crashed in the right-hand gutter while trying to pass another competitor at Upper Hilberry Corner, between Creg-ny-Baa and Hillberry Corner, and broke a leg during practice for the 1923 Isle of Man TT Races.During the winter of 2005/2006 road widening occurred at Windy Corner followed by Brandish Corner during the autumn of 2006 by the Isle of Man Department of Transport, due to collision figures at both locations involving local, two-way traffic.

Hillberry Corner (in Manx: Knock berrey or Cronkybury) is situated at the 36th Milestone road-side marker on the Snaefell Mountain Course, being on the primary A18 Mountain Road with the side-road junction of the C22 Little Mill Road, in the parish of Onchan in the Isle of Man. Hillberry Corner was part of the Highland Course and Four Inch Course used for the Gordon Bennett Trial and Tourist Trophy car races between 1904 and 1922. For the 1908 Tourist Trophy race for cars, the startline was moved from the road junction of the A2 Quarterbridge Road/Alexander Drive to Hillberry Corner as part of the new Four Inch Course. A small iron-framed grandstand was built for spectators and still remains at the site. Hillberry Corner is part of the Mountain Course used since 1911 for the Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix races. To facilitate racing on the Clypse Course for the 1954 TT races during the winter of 1953/54 road widening occurred on the Mountain Course at Creg-ny-Baa, Signpost Corner, the section of road from Hillberry Corner to Cronk-ny-Mona, and the approach to Governor's Bridge.

Cronk-ny-Mona (Manx for 'Hill of the turbary') is situated between the 36 and 37 mile markers used for the Snaefell Mountain Course, being on the primary A18 Mountain Road at the road junction with the A21 Johnny Watterson('s) Lane and the tertiary C10 Scholag Road in the Isle of Man parish of Onchan. Cronk-ny-Mona, a steep hill topping-out to a sweeping left hand bend located after Hillberry corner on the TT course, leads from agricultural farmland and passes through sympathetically-landscaped modern residential developments on either side, continuing the traditional rural theme and demarking the outer-margins of Douglas town. The hill interrupts the descent from Snaefell Mountain, which resumes at the next TT vantage point, the right turn at Signpost Corner, starting the run down through the outskirts of Douglas to the finish line at TT Grandstand.

Signpost Corner, Isle of Man is a former temporary motor-cycle race signal station, located on the A18 Snaefell Mountain Road at the road junction with the A39 Hillberry Road / B11 Avondale Road in the parish of Onchan in the Isle of Man.

Braddan (Manx: Braddan) is one of the seventeen parishes of the Isle of Man. It is located on the east of the island (part of the traditional South Side division) in the sheading of Middle. Administratively, a small part of the historic parish of Braddan is now covered by part of the borough of Douglas, the capital and largest town of the Isle of Man. Other settlements in the parish include Port Soderick, Strang, Tromode and Union Mills.

Hailwood's Height, preceded by Hailwood's Rise, is situated between the 31st and 32nd Milestone road-side markers on the Snaefell Mountain Course used for the Isle of Man TT Races on the A18 Snaefell Mountain Road in the parishes of Lezayre and Lonan in the Isle of Man. The uphill section of the Mountain Course from the Bungalow to the highest point of the course at Ordnance Survey spot height 422 metres (1,385 ft) above sea level near Brandywell was named Hailwood's Rise in memory of Mike Hailwood, the former world motorcycle champion who died in 1981. The highest point of the course adjacent to the Brandywell/B10 road junction is named Hailwood's Height.Hailwood's Height and Hailwood's Rise were part of the Highland Course and the Four Inch Course used for the Gordon Bennett Trial and Tourist Trophy automobile car races held in the Isle of Man between 1904 and 1922. Hailwood's Height is now part of the Snaefell Mountain Course used since 1911 for the Isle of Man TT and from 1923 for the Manx Grand Prix Races.

Beinn-y-Phott, (Manx: turf summit) (colloquial pronunciation 'penny pot' ['pɛni fot] / [ðə 'pɛni pɔt]) is a peak of 546 metres (1,791 feet) on the Isle of Man, about 2 km SW of Snaefell. It is at the southern end of the parish of Kirk Lezayre. It is skirted by the Mountain Course used for the TT races and is near Brandywell. It is covered by moorland and a detailed dating of its vegetation through the Holocene period has been made — mostly heathers, peat mosses and sedges.

The Nook (Middle English: a corner or recess) is situated on the primary A18 Mountain Road in the parish of Onchan in the Isle of Man between the 37th Milestone road-side marker on the Snaefell Mountain Course and the TT Grandstand on the primary A2 Glencrutchery Road in the town of Douglas. The Nook along with the nearby Governor's Bridge road junction and hairpin bends is part of the Snaefell Mountain Course used since 1920 for the Isle of Man TT and from 1923 for the Manx Grand Prix Races. The Nook was part of the Clypse Course for the Isle of Man TT races between 1954 and 1959. It is also part of the Willaston Circuit used for cycle racing, classic car racing and used as part of timed special stage for the Rally Isle of Man. For the 1954 Isle of Man TT races, the approach to Governor's Bridge including The Nook corner on the A18 Bemahauge Road was widened to accommodate the re-introduced Sidecar TT on the Clypse Course. The Department of Transport announced a proposal to build a new section of road for the Mountain Course with a link road from The Nook to Governor's Bridge using parts of the pre-existing A18 Bemahague Road. This road widening scheme occurred between February and April 2008 with the removal of trees on the Bemahague Estate which includes Government House, the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man TT Races and Manx Grand Prix continued to use the original A18 Bemahauge Road that runs parallel to the new link road from The Nook to the Governor's Dip for motor-cycle racing.
