Modul University Vienna

The Kahlenberg Transmitter is a facility for FM- and TV on the Kahlenberg near Vienna. It was established in 1953 and used until 1956 an antenna on the observation tower Stefaniewarte. From 1956 to 1974 a 129-metre-high guyed mast built of lattice steel was used. Since 1974 a 165-metre-high guyed steel tube mast has been used, which is equipped with rooms of technical equipment.

Leopoldberg’s most prominent landmark is the church which stands at the top, and which is clearly visible from Vienna below. Construction of the Leopoldsberg church, dedicated to Saint Leopold, began in 1679; an expansion following a design by Antonio Beduzzi was undertaken 1718–30. Other renovations were to follow. Across the square from the church, on what used to be a tower of the fortification system, a memorial to those Austrians who returned home from captivity after World War II was created in 1948.

The Leopoldsberg church (also church of St. Leopold at Leopoldsberg, German: Leopoldsbergkirche) is a Roman Catholic quasi-parochial church in the Kahlenbergerdorf area of Döbling (the 19th district of Vienna). It is dedicated to Saint Margrave Leopold and is attached to the parish church of Nussdorf.After being closed for a long time for repairs, the church was opened to the public in June 2018.

Döbling (German pronunciation: [ˈdøːblɪŋ] ) is the 19th district in the city of Vienna, Austria (German: 19. Bezirk, Döbling, Doebling). It is located in the north of Vienna, north of the districts Alsergrund and Währing. Döbling has some heavily populated urban areas with many residential buildings, and borders the Vienna Woods. Heiligenstädter Friedhof is a cemetery in Döbling, the 19th district of Vienna, Austria. It is named after the Heiligenstadt neighbourhood (municipality) of Döbling. The cemetery is among the oldest of the Austrian capital, with an ossuary existing at the site from approx. 1500 and the first walls around the yard being erected in 1831. It comprises an area of 20,315 square metres, with 13,000 grave sites.

The Grinzing Parish Church is the Roman Catholic parish church of Grinzing in the 19th district of Döbling, western Vienna, Austria.It is located at Himmelstraße 25 in the centre of Grinzing. It is consecrated to the Holy Cross and belongs to the city deanery 19 of the Vicariate Vienna City of the Archdiocese of Vienna. The building is listed as a cultural property.

The Kaasgrabenkirche, also known as the Wallfahrtskirche “Mariä Schmerzen”, is a Roman Catholic parish and pilgrimage church in the suburb of Grinzing in the 19th district of Vienna, Döbling. The church has been managed since 1903 by the order of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales and is equally the seat of the branch of the order covering Austria and Southern Germany. It has had the status of a parish church since 1939. The name Kaasgrabenkirche hearkens back to an old name for the local area, which probably indicates the presence of water (mineral springs) that were rich in iron and sulphur. The smell and colour of this water resembled whey, which is sometimes referred to as Käsewasser (literally, cheese water) in German. References survive from 1280 to Chezwazzeresgraben and from 1331 to Cheswassergraben.
