CITIC Tower

Tim Mei Avenue (Chinese: 添美道; Jyutping: tim1 mei5 dou6; pinyin: Tiānměi Dào) is a street in Admiralty, Hong Kong. The street is built on land reclaimed as part of the Central Reclamation Phase II, which was completed in 1997 and reclaimed 5.3 hectares of land at the former Tamar naval base. The area was subsequently known as the Tamar site. Tim Mei Avenue connects Harcourt Road and Lung Wo Road (龍和道). Buildings along the street include CITIC Tower and the Central Government Complex.

The East Wing Forecourt of the Central Government Office, or Civic Square, is an open space in front of the East Wing of the Central Government Complex, Hong Kong, which is located in Tamar. It was once an area where protesters took part in protests and demonstrations. It was closed in July 2014, and reopened on 10 September 2014. For many, it represents democracy and freedom, and a place to express their discontent. It was occupied for a rally opposing the moral and national education school curriculum proposal in August 2012, and during the 2014 Hong Kong protests (Umbrella Revolution) in September 2014. Since then, the square is closed by the government in order to prevent protests.

On 1 July 2019, anti-government activists in Hong Kong sieged, broke into, and subsequently occupied the Legislative Council Complex during the campaign to halt the enactment of the Fugitive Offenders amendment bill. Hundreds of protesters broke through the glass walls and metal doors and entered the building, ransacked and vandalised the interior with anti-government and anti-PRC slogans. It is considered a watershed event in the 2019–2020 Hong Kong protests. Nine days later, on 9 July, the Chief Executive, Carrie Lam, announced that the extradition bill was "dead".

The Legislative Council Complex (LegCo Complex) is the headquarters of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. The complex is located at 1 Legislative Council Road, Central, Hong Kong. Construction of the LegCo Complex commenced in 2008 and was completed in 2011. It was the first purpose-built building for the Hong Kong legislature.It forms part of the Central Government Complex. On 1 July 2019, the building was stormed and briefly occupied by protesters in the 2019–20 Hong Kong protests.

Tamar ( (listen) TAY-mar) is the administrative centre of Hong Kong located in Admiralty. It is home to Hong Kong's Legislative Council and Central Government Offices of the Hong Kong Government. Adjacent to the island's financial heart at the Central harbourfront, the word Tamar is often used as a metonymy for the Government of Hong Kong. To the east, it connects with cultural and convention facilities including the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre; to the south, it connects with financial, commercial and tourism hubs; to the southwest, it connects to Garden Road, which is rich in historical and heritage values. Once the most expensive piece of empty land in Hong Kong, valued at $24.3 billion on the market ($9,000 per square foot), the site attracted projects from different parties, including the government's new headquarters, highly profitable office or retailing space, and a waterfront open green space. Due to its modern usage, the term is used synonymously to the territory's legislative council and administration.

The Central Government Complex has been the headquarters of the Government of Hong Kong since 2011. Located at the Tamar site, the complex comprises the Central Government Offices, the Legislative Council Complex and the Office of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. The complex has taken over the roles of several buildings, including the former Central Government Offices, Murray Building and the former Legislative Council Building.

HMS Tamar (Chinese: 添馬艦) was the name for the British Royal Navy's base in Hong Kong from 1897 to 1997. It took its name from HMS Tamar, a ship that was used as the base until replaced by buildings ashore.

Tamar (Chinese: 添馬) is a station on MTR's proposed North Island line (NIL) on the north shore of Hong Kong Island. It will be located on the former site of HMS Tamar on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. Tamar station will be the eastern terminus of the Tung Chung line and the western terminus of the Tseung Kwan O line. It will also act as a transfer station between the two lines. According to a 2014 study, it was suggested to start construction of the station in 2021 and open it in 2026. Geographically, the Admiralty MTR station is located to the south, while Tamar Park is located to the north. The station would sit at the foot of the Central Government Complex, directly under Tamar Park.

Fenwick Pier (Chinese: 分域碼頭) is located at 1 Lung King Street (龍景街), Wan Chai Northwest, Hong Kong Island. Managed by Servicemen's Guides Association (the SGA), a non-profit organization, Fenwick Pier has been in operation at the coastline of Wan Chai since 1953 serving military sailors from all over the world. Fenwick Pier is seen as the lighthouse of hospitality, answering questions about Hong Kong and ensuring a worry-free stay and reliable purchase for these unique sea-based visitors to Hong Kong.

Tamar Park (Chinese: 添馬公園) is an urban park in Admiralty, Hong Kong covering around 17,000 square metres (180,000 sq ft) with the design concept of 'perpetual green'. The park occupies 80% of the Tamar site public space and is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong government. It is enclosed by Harcourt Road, Legislative Council Road, Tim Mei Avenue, Tim Wa Avenue and Lung Wo Road. The Central Government Complex and the Legislative Council Complex are adjacent to Tamar Park.

Admiralty is the eastern extension of the central business district (adjacent to, but separate from, Central) on the Hong Kong Island of Hong Kong. It is located on the eastern end of the Central and Western District, bordered by Wan Chai to the east and Victoria Harbour to the north. The name of Admiralty refers to the former Admiralty Dock in the area which housed a naval dockyard. The dock was later demolished when land was reclaimed and developed northward as the naval base HMS Tamar. The Chinese name, Kam Chung (金鐘), lit. "Golden Bell", refers to a gold-coloured bell that was used for timekeeping at Wellington Barracks.

Harcourt Garden (Chinese: 夏慤花園; Jyutping: haa6 kok3 faa1 jyun4) is a small urban park in Admiralty, Hong Kong, constructed in the mid-1990s. To the east of the park is the Hong Kong Police Headquarters while to the west is Admiralty bus station. Like the adjacent Harcourt Road, the park is named for Admiral Cecil Harcourt, de facto governor of Hong Kong from September 1945 to June 1946.
