Harcourt Garden

Royal Naval Hospital (Hong Kong) was the Royal Navy's medical facility in the colony. The RNH began in 1841 in a matshed on the site of the Wellington Barracks on Hong Kong Island. A typhoon destroyed the hospital and was temporarily located on HMS Minden, a third-rate sailing ship. This ship was replaced by HMS Alligator in 1846, a sixth-rate frigate and HMS Melville, another third-rate sailing ship in 1857. The hospital returned to shore briefly at the Seamen's Hospital in 1873 and then to the Mount Shadwell, now home to Ruttonjee Hospital until it was destroyed during World War II. The funding for the Seamen's Hospital came from HMS Melville, which was sold for HK$35,000, after which the proceeds were used to establish the shore facilities.After the war the RNH was located on two floors of the Queen Mary Hospital. In 1946 the hospital relocated to the War Memorial Nursing Home on the Peak (Mount Kellett Road) until it was closed in 1956. The War Memorial Nursing Home merged with Matilda Hospital to form the Matilda and War Memorial Hospital, later renamed Matilda International Hospital. Naval medical services and patients were transferred to the British Military Hospital, Hong Kong in Kowloon after 1956.

Wellington Barracks (Chinese: 威靈頓兵房) was a military barracks located to the east of Garden Road in Admiralty, Hong Kong. One of many military complexes constructed by the British Army in the area, the land was returned to the Hong Kong government in the 1970s and gradually reverted to civilian use. As a result, the barracks was closed at the end of that decade, demolished in the mid-1980s and replaced with Harcourt Garden.

The Admiralty (East) Public Transport Interchange (Chinese: 金鐘（東）公共運輸交匯處) is a major bus terminus located in Admiralty, Central and Western District, Hong Kong. Located above Admiralty Station of the MTR, the terminus hosts bus routes to most destinations in the Southern District west of Deep Water Bay, so the usage is relatively high. The interchange has different names named by different bus companies. The official name from the Government is Admiralty (East) Public Transport Interchange; Citybus and New World First Bus named it as the Admiralty (East) Bus Terminus (Chinese: 金鐘（東）巴士總站); while the name from Kowloon Motor Bus is Admiralty Railway Station (East) Bus Terminus (Chinese: 金鐘鐵路站（東）巴士總站).

Admiralty is the eastern extension of the central business district (adjacent to, but separate from, Central) on the Hong Kong Island of Hong Kong. It is located on the eastern end of the Central and Western District, bordered by Wan Chai to the east and Victoria Harbour to the north. The name of Admiralty refers to the former Admiralty Dock in the area which housed a naval dockyard. The dock was later demolished when land was reclaimed and developed northward as the naval base HMS Tamar. The Chinese name, Kam Chung (金鐘), lit. "Golden Bell", refers to a gold-coloured bell that was used for timekeeping at Wellington Barracks.

Tim Mei Avenue (Chinese: 添美道; Jyutping: tim1 mei5 dou6; pinyin: Tiānměi Dào) is a street in Admiralty, Hong Kong. The street is built on land reclaimed as part of the Central Reclamation Phase II, which was completed in 1997 and reclaimed 5.3 hectares of land at the former Tamar naval base. The area was subsequently known as the Tamar site. Tim Mei Avenue connects Harcourt Road and Lung Wo Road (龍和道). Buildings along the street include CITIC Tower and the Central Government Complex.

The JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong is a hotel of JW Marriott Hotels. It is located in the Admiralty area of Hong Kong, on the border of Wan Chai and Central, on Hong Kong Island. The hotel opened on 27 February 1989 in the Pacific Place complex. It is the first Asian and flagship hotel of the Marriott Hotel Group. It was the first hotel in Hong Kong to have a five-day workweek for its associates. 36/F to 50/F was redeveloped into Upper House, formerly a service apartment for international staff, now a delicate luxury hotel managed by Swire Properties since September 2009.

The Hong Kong Police Headquarters (Chinese: 香港警察總部) or HKPHQ are located at 1 Arsenal Street, Wan Chai, on Hong Kong Island. It is the headquarters of the Hong Kong Police Force. The headquarters complex comprises several buildings, including Arsenal House (including main building, East and West Wing) and Caine House. As at December 2010, 5,202 police officers and 2,032 civilian officers are deployed in this headquarters.

The East Wing Forecourt of the Central Government Office, or Civic Square, is an open space in front of the East Wing of the Central Government Complex, Hong Kong, which is located in Tamar. It was once an area where protesters took part in protests and demonstrations. It was closed in July 2014, and reopened on 10 September 2014. For many, it represents democracy and freedom, and a place to express their discontent. It was occupied for a rally opposing the moral and national education school curriculum proposal in August 2012, and during the 2014 Hong Kong protests (Umbrella Revolution) in September 2014. Since then, the square is closed by the government in order to prevent protests.

CITIC Tower (Chinese: 中信大廈) is a 33-storey office building on Tim Mei Avenue, Admiralty, Hong Kong. It is the corporate headquarters of CITIC Pacific Ltd, a conglomerate publicly traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and listed on the Hang Seng Index, and also a subsidiary of the CITIC Group. CITIC Tower is also the headquarters of another development partner, Kerry Group. It is one of the participants in the nightly A Symphony of Lights (幻彩詠香江) light show on both sides of Victoria Harbour. In an authorised protest in 2019, police surrounded the tower on both sides, trapping protesters and fired tear gas into the crowd of protesters. International experts called the use of tear gas excessive, "actually inciting and causing what looks like a stampede".

Admiralty (Chinese: 金鐘; Cantonese Yale: Gāmjūng) is a Mass Transit Railway (MTR) station located on Hong Kong Island, in an area often referred to as Admiralty. The station's livery is blue and white. The station connects the Tsuen Wan line with the Island line and the South Island line. Before the opening of the Tsuen Wan branch line in 1982, it was part of the Modified Initial System. The station and the region are named after HMS Tamar (a place of land now known as the Tamar site), once the headquarters of the Royal Navy in Hong Kong – this, even though HMS Tamar had never actually been called the Admiralty. It was built on the former site of the Hong Kong naval dockyards, which was built in 1878 and demolished in the 1970s. The Chinese name, which translates to 'Gold or Golde Clock', refers to a clock with gold-coloured numerals and hands that was centred on the main building of Wellington Barracks from 1890 to 1962. In 2011 to 2016, the station underwent major expansion to accommodate two new sets of platforms underneath the original structure to serve two more MTR lines, the South Island line and the East Rail line (part of the Sha Tin to Central Link). One of the East Rail Line platforms opened on 8 October 2021, but the other will open in May 15th of 2022, with the commencement of the second phase of the Sha Tin to Central Link. The South Island line opened in 2016.

Queensway is a major road in the Admiralty area of Central, Hong Kong. It was originally a section of Queen's Road East and forms part of the continuum of Queen's Road that had been split into Queen's Road West, Queen's Road Central, Queensway, and Queen's Road East after World War II. At its western end it splits into Queen's Road Central and Des Voeux Road Central while at its eastern end it merges into Hennessy Road, at the junction with Queen's Road East.

Arsenal Street (Chinese: 軍器廠街) is a north–south running street in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. It marks the division between Admiralty and Wan Chai. It is named after the Old Arsenal at Wan Chai. It is now home to the Hong Kong Police Headquarters to its west side.
