Saltsjön

Danvikens hospital was a historical Swedish hospital, insane asylum and retirement home in Stockholm, active in 1558–1861. The area belonged to Stockholms kommun until 1984, when it was transferred to Nacka kommun. The Danvikens hospital was founded by the initiative of King Gustav Vasa in 1558. The current building is designed by Göran Josuæ Adelcrantz (1668–1739) and dates back to 1718–1725. From the 1740s, the hospital also functioned as an Insane asylum. The hospital is frequently mentioned within literature and during the 18th and 19th centuries; the name Danviken was used in common language as a synonym for a "Mad House". A famous description of the Danviken Asylum was Fältskärns berättelser (The tales of a Feldsher) by Zacharias Topelius from the 1780s. The facilities was emptied in 1861 and the asylum closed in 1863 because of the decaying buildings. It is now used as an Art Gallery.

Masthamnen and Yttre Masthamnen are the eastern extension of the Stadsgårdshamnen in Södermalm, Stockholm, Sweden. The wharf area, which is owned by the corporation Stockholms Hamnar, is about 600 metres long, and is mostly located between Londonviadukten and Fåfängan on one side and Saltsjön on the other, it stretches from Varvsbranten in the west to the mouth of the Danvikskanalen channel in the east. Today, Masthamnen serves the Viking Line cruiseferries while Yttre Masthamnen serves international cruise ships.

Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde (Swedish for Cape Waldemar), is a museum located on Djurgården in central Stockholm. The name is composed of Waldemar, an Old German noble male name, and udde, meaning cape. It is derived from a historical name of the island Djurgården, Valmundsö (see History of Djurgården.)

Danviksbron or, alternatively, Danviksbro ("Danvik Bridge") is a bascule bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden, connecting the eastern end of Södermalm to the eastern municipality Nacka. Under the bridge, the canal Hammarbykanalen carries the water of Hammarby Sjö over to Saltsjön. The bridge, actually two separate bridges, carries the railway Saltsjöbanan and a road. For unknown reasons the location of the bridge, like many other places along the shores of Sweden and Norway, was named 'Danviken', meaning danernas vik, "The Bay of the Danes", and until the early 20th century most people called it Dannviken (short a, like Danmark is still pronounced) rather than, as is common today, Daanviken (long a).

The Baltic Sea Science Center in Stockholm is part of the open-air museum Skansen, and showcases the Baltic marine environment and its threats, using aquariums, exhibitions, and educational activities.

Beckholmsbron (Swedish: Beckholmen Bridge) is a wooden bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden, connecting the two islands Djurgården and Beckholmen. Originally built in 1848–1858 when the first docks were constructed on Beckholmen, Beckholmsbron is the only remaining wooden bridge in Stockholm still used by heavy vehicles. It was repaired several times before the Royal Djurgården Administration had it rebuilt in 1992. The Stockholm City Museum have classified the bridge as a historical monument. The current name was made official in 1961.After its completion in 1862 the bridge gradually started to rot and was finally proposed to be replaced by a concrete construction. Popular opinion, however, didn't approve with the decision and four engineers from the regiment in Södertälje instead had the present wooden bridge constructed in six weeks in 1992.

Oaxen Krog, also known as Oaxen Krog & Slip, previously Oaxen Skärgårdskrog, is a restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden. It was started as a luxurious restaurant in the southern part of Stockholm archipelago, situated on the island Oaxen, south of the inlet to Södertälje Canal. The restaurant founded in 1994 by Magnus Ek and Agneta Green developed into one of the most highly rated restaurants in Sweden and was named one of the 50 best restaurants in the world five years in a row by Restaurant Magazine.It closed in September 2011, and in 2013 the new Oaxen Krog & Slip opened near Beckholmsbron at Djurgården in Stockholm in a new building by architects Mats Fahlander and Agneta Pettersson. In 2014, the restaurant was awarded one Michelin star and in 2015 it was awarded two stars.Oaxen Krog has a sister restaurant Oaxen Slip which is in the same building and is a bistro. The couple previously also ran a deli shop, Oaxen Skafferi, at Mariatorget in Stockholm.

Bellmansro was a restaurant north of Oakhill Palace on Djurgården island in Stockholm, which opened as a catering hall in 1828. The restaurant's eventual name reflected its proximity to Johan Niclas Byström's bust of Carl Michael Bellman that was dedicated on July 26, 1829. For much of its history Bellmansro was a tavern, but in the late 19th century it became a restaurant with food service. By the early 1900s the establishment had fallen into disrepute. The building burned to the ground May 13, 1952. An annual festival, held on Bellman Day (July 26), commemorates the inauguration of the Bellman bust.

Having served the city's shipping industry for centuries, Beckholmen is now regarded as a historical monument of national interest, and, by its location just south of Djurgården in the vicinity of other similar localities (including Skeppsholmen, Kastellholmen, Djurgårdsvarvet, and Blasieholmen) it also forms part of Royal National City Park, and Stockholms Sjögård (literally, "Sea homestead of Stockholm"), an area of the harbour of Stockholm containing maritime environments of historical interest.

Cirkus (Swedish: Cirkus Arena och Restaurang AB) is an arena in Djurgården, Stockholm, that holds 1,650 people. It was originally used as a circus (the old official name being Cirkusteatern), but is today mostly used for concerts and musical shows. The French circusman Didier Gautier became a Swedish citizen in 1830, and was granted permission to build a permanent circus building on Djurgården in Stockholm. In 1869 Didi Gautier sold his circus Didier Gautiers menagerie to Adèle Houcke. The building took fire later, and was rebuilt in 1892 as present Djurgårdscircus.

Rosendals Trädgård is a garden open to the public situated on Djurgården, west of Rosendal Palace, in the central part of Stockholm, Sweden. Today, Rosendals Trädgård is open to public visitors in order to let visitors experience nature and to demonstrate different cultural effects on gardening through history. The purpose is to practise biodynamic agriculture and pedagogical education. The garden is owned and operated by the trust fund "Rosendals Trädgårds Stiftelse". In the area known as Rosendals Trädgård there are also, except from the garden: "Plantboden", a gardening shop where the customers can find everything that's useful in a garden, "Trädgårdsbutik", a shop where the customers can buy fresh vegetables cultivated in the garden at Rosendal. The maybe most visited shop is the famous bakery, which carries the same name as the garden, "Rosendal Trädgårds bakery". Visiting Rosendals Trädgård, one has a great opportunity to experience locally cultivated and produced phenomena and items.

Hasselbacken is a restaurant in Cirkus, Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden with a connection to a hotel at Hazelliusbacken 20 in Södra Djurgården with a history dating back to 1748. Since 2019 the restaurant and hotel have been part of the Pop House Sweden group preserved by the majority owners Björn Ulvaeus and Conni Jonsson.
