Stoke Damerel Community College

Ford is a Victorian-built area of Plymouth, Devon, England. It lies 1.6 miles (2.6 km) north-west of the city centre, between the suburbs of Milehouse and Keyham. Between 1890 and 1964 the area was served by Ford railway station.

Stoke, also referred to by its earlier name of Stoke Damerel, is an inner suburb of the city of Plymouth, Devon, England. In 1844, Stoke Damerel was described as a parish in Roborough hundred, adjoining the borough of Plymouth, and including Devonport within it. In 1914, Devonport and Plymouth amalgamated with Stonehouse, and the new town took the name of Plymouth. Stoke is now densely built up with family houses and bisected by the main railway line from Paddington to Penzance. The parish church is notable not only for its evolving architecture, but also its contents and historical connections. The area has been prosperous for several hundred years, and there are distinguished private houses dating to Georgian and Victorian times, several of which feature in Nikolaus Pevsner's South Devon. Stoke Damerel Primary School educates approximately 320 pupils of ages 4–11.Devonport High School for Boys on Paradise Road draws pupils from all over the city and parts of south-west Devon and south-east Cornwall.

Millbridge is a small neighbourhood of Plymouth, on the boundary of what used to be the towns of Plymouth and Devonport, in the English county of Devon. What was originally a self-standing village (which has now been subsumed within the city) lies to the north of the toll bridge, originally built by Sir Piers Edgcumbe in 1525, that crossed what used to be the Deadlake or Stonehouse Creek, to the west of Pennycomequick, the south of Stoke village and to the east of Stoke Church. It derives its name from the old toll bridge (adjacent to a naval saw mill) across the creek between Eldad Hill and Molesworth Road, at one time the principal link between Plymouth and Devonport. The creek to the east of the bridge was filled in with material from the quarries at Cattedown and Oreston during the late 1890s and the ground created became a municipal park, Victoria Park, which was officially opened in 1903. The remainder of the creek to the west of Millbridge, up to Stonehouse Bridge and Pool, was filled in and by 1972 the whole area had been developed as rugby pitches. These pitches are often used by Devonport High School for Boys and the Old Boys RFC.

Milehouse is a late Victorian and 1930s suburb of Plymouth. It is now notable for a substantial traffic junction, the vast depot base of the local city bus company, a Wetherspoons pub and an undertaker. Formerly it was famous for the site of Outland House, the large family home of Robert Falcon Scott, who led the tragic British expedition to the South Pole and died on the return journey. The area borders Plymouth's huge Central Park and is a meeting point for supporters and police before and after local football games at adjacent Home Park, the ground of Plymouth Argyle football club. It is a reputable area with good facilities and is convenient to the city centre, the nightlife zones, the parkland and the main road in and out of town.

Victoria Park is a park in Millbridge, Plymouth, England. It extends at the eastern end from the bowling green beneath what was once a railway viaduct to what is now the merging of Molesworth Road and Eldad Hill, and which once was a toll bridge, and an important thoroughfare between Devonport and Plymouth.

Stoke Damerel Church, also known as the Church of St Andrew with St Luke, is a Church of England church in Stoke, Plymouth, Devon, England. Dating from the 15th century, the church has been Grade II* listed since 1954. In addition to its listed status, the northern churchyard gate piers are also Grade II listed, alongside two 19th-century tombs, one of which belongs to Captain Tobias Furneaux.

The Mayflower Centre was a leisure centre in the city of Plymouth, Devon, England. It was situated in Central Park, close to Plymouth Argyle Football Club. The centre was originally built in 1971 as an exhibition centre for the 350th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower; it was extended several times. In 1973 a four rink indoor bowls facility was built; this facility was home to one of the largest bowls clubs in the area. In 1979 an indoor five-a-side hall was added and as of 2006 there were over 100 teams competing in various leagues throughout the year. Four squash courts were added in 1980, two of which were later converted into a meeting training room and a kickboxing/martial art studio. The Mayflower Centre was home to English Basketball League team the Tamar Valley Cannons and was home to Plymouth Raiders from 1983 until their move to the Plymouth Pavilions in 1996. The Mayflower Centre was demolished to make way for the Plymouth Life Centre which opened in 2012.

Devonport High School for Boys is an 11–18 boys grammar school and academy in Plymouth, Devon, England. It has around 1,150 boys, and its catchment area includes southwest Devon and southeast Cornwall as well as Plymouth. Pupils are accepted on the basis of academic aptitude. The school catchment area draws boys from a wide area extending beyond Plymouth, with the numbers of boys being entitled to free school meals being well below average. The proportion of boys attending the school from minority ethnic groups is below the national average, although there are a number who speak English as an additional language.

St Dunstan's Abbey, Plymouth was an abbey in Plymouth, Devon, England. The Sisters of the Most Holy Trinity under Priscilla Lydia Sellon with the support of the Henry Phillpotts, Bishop of Exeter founded an Anglican convent in New North Road.The Gothic building was designed by William Butterfield and constructed around 1850.Around 1906 most of the nuns had left and the building was converted into St Dunstan Abbey School For Girls. Since 2000 it was converted into flats and houses.

Plymouth's Central Park is situated to the north-east of Plymouth city centre in south-west Devon, England. Covering 68 hectares, Central Park is the largest park in Plymouth. It was created in 1928 with the aim to improve the health of the city's residents. The park is trust land; developments on the land must be for the purpose of leisure activities.
