Phare de l'Espiguette

The Pointe de l'Espiguette is a vast dune system located on the Mediterranean coast of the Gard department in France.It is east of Le Grau-du-Roi and west of the Petit-Rhône, in the Petite Camargue region. The dune system is almost 18 kilometers (11 miles) long and stretches across several hectares. L'Espiguette is a preserved wild natural site, although it is fragile. The beaches at the location attract numerous tourists and swimmers each year. The Phare de l'Espiguette is located in the dune system.

Its source is in the Cévennes mountains, northwest of Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort, at Saint-Roman-de-Codières. It flows generally southeast. At Gallargues-le-Montueux, it was crossed by the old Roman road Via Domitia with the now ruined Roman bridge Pont Ambroix. Le Grau-du-Roi is a railway station in Le Grau-du-Roi, Occitanie, southern France. Within TER Occitanie, it is part of line 26 (Nîmes-Le Grau-du-Roi).

Le Grau-du-Roi (French pronunciation: [lə ɡʁo dy ʁwa]; Occitan: Lo Grau dau Rei) is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. It is the only commune in Gard to have a frontage on the Mediterranean. To the west is the Herault department and La Grande-Motte village, and to the east is the Bouches-du-Rhone department. Using the sea as a vantage point, the commune has four distinct sections: the right beach (Plage de Rive Droite), the Village, the left beach (Plage de Rive Gauche), Port-Camargue and L'Espiguette. Immediately landwards are the large shallow étangs, saline marshes, which separate it from Aigues Mortes, a neighboring mediaeval walled city that used to be a port. The étangs are home to numerous flamingoes.

La Grande-Motte (French pronunciation: [la ɡʁɑ̃d mɔt]; Occitan: La Mota Granda) is a commune in the Hérault département in Occitanie in southern France. It is a popular seaside resort and port, built in the 1960s and 1970s. La Grande-Motte is characterized by homogeneous architecture; many of the prominent buildings are pyramidal in form. With 2 million tourists per year it is one of the favorite resorts of the French.

Étang de l'Or, or Golden Lagoon, is a large, shallow, brackish body of water in the Département of Hérault in the south of France. Its surface area is 30 km². Being directly connected to the Mediterranean Sea and to several adjacent lagoons, its elevation is zero.

Communauté d'agglomération du Pays de l'Or is the communauté d'agglomération, an intercommunal structure, centred on the town of Mauguio. It is located in the Hérault department, in the Occitania region, southern France. Created in 1993, its seat is in Mauguio. Its area is 114.8 km2. Its population was 44,890 in 2019, of which 16,705 in Mauguio proper.

It is located 7 km (4 nautical miles) east-southeast of Montpellier in Mauguio, in the Hérault department of the Occitanie region in France. The airport opened in 1946, 8 years after the first flight to the area.The airport carries the 10th largest number of passengers in France (over 1.18 million in 2010). A campus of the École nationale de l'aviation civile (French civil aviation university) is also located at the airport.

Pérols (French pronunciation: [peʁɔl] (listen); Occitan: Peròus) is a commune in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region in southern France. Close to the city of Montpellier, it is mostly a quiet village with beautiful old buildings.
