Magnolia Grove is a historic plantation house located near Iron Station, Lincoln County, North Carolina. It was built about 1824, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay by two bay, style brick dwelling with a Quaker plan interior. It has a gable roof, sits on a full raised basement, and one-story hip-roof porches on the front and rear facades.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, with a boundary increase in 1997.

Iron Station is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lincoln County, North Carolina, United States. A primarily industrial town, Iron Station's population was 755 as of the 2010 census. It also serves as a bedroom community for the larger cities of Charlotte, Hickory, and Lincolnton.

The Andrew Carpenter House on State Road 1820 in Gaston County, North Carolina, is believed to have been built for Andrew Carpenter shortly after his marriage to Sophia Smith on April 19, 1831. The two-story Federal style plantation house is two rooms deep and has paired chi mneys. It is one of the largest early-19th century houses in Gaston County.The house was accessioned to the National Register of Historic Places on March 17, 1983. The Hoyle Historic Homestead, also known as Hoyle Family Homestead, Peter Hoyle House, and Pieter Hieyl Homeplace, is a mid- to late-18th century two-story house in Gaston County, North Carolina, with notable German-American construction features, the main block of which reflects two, and possibly three, phases, but the exact construction dates have not been determined. A major renovation, c. 1810, added a late Georgian and Federal finish, as well as front and rear shed porches. A brick well house and a frame smokehouse, both east of the house, date from the 19th century. Almost nine acres (36,000 m2), with several large walnut trees, surround the buildings.

Eli Hoyle House is a historic plantation house located near Dallas, Gaston County, North Carolina. It was built about 1830–1833, and is a two-story, five-bay, Federal-style frame dwelling. It has a side-gable roof, exterior brick end chimneys, and sits on a stone foundation. It was built by Eli Hoyle (1801–1844), great-grandson of Pieter Hieyl who built the nearby Hoyle Historic Homestead.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Hardins is an unincorporated community in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States. It is located approximately 2.0 miles (3.2 km) south of the town of High Shoals.
