Lanesfield is a district now within the boundaries of Wolverhampton, specifically in the city council's Spring Vale ward. Lanesfield lies within the Ancient Manor of Sedgley and was a rural village for many years until the growth of the Black Country's industries. Lanesfield's name originates from the Lane family who lived where the area now stands. Originally, Lanesfield was known as Lane's Field.

Ettingshall is an area of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England, and is a ward of Wolverhampton City Council. The population of this ward taken at the 2011 census was 13,482.

Ettingshall Road railway station was a railway station built by the London and North Western Railway on their Stour Valley Line in 1852. It served the Ettingshall area of Wolverhampton, and was located near to the junction of Ettingshall Road and Parkfield Road. It was sometimes known as Ettingshall Road and Bilston. The station closed in 1964, although the Rugby-Birmingham-Stafford Line loop from the West Coast Main Line still runs through the site of the station.

Spring Vale is a ward of Wolverhampton City Council, West Midlands, England. It is situated SSE of the city centre, on the city's border with the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley. The population of the ward taken at the 2011 census was 12,243.

Priestfield railway station was a junction station built by the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway in 1854. It was situated on the junction of the Oxford-Worcester-Wolverhampton Line and the London Paddington to Birkenhead via Birmingham Snow Hill. The station closed in 1972, although mainline services were withdrawn by 1967, and only single railcars operated to Snow Hill, the OWW Line closing in 1962. It was the first station south of Wolverhampton Low Level. After the withdrawal of passenger services, the line remained open to goods trains until December 1982.Today, Priestfield refers to the Midland Metro stop a short distance away from the station's original position. The tram line opened on 31 May 1999, restoring the use of the line after more than 16 years in disuse and to serve the Snow Hill-Low Level Line while the Dudley-Wolverhampton Line has been since built on and redeveloped. However the location of the former railway junction can be detected by a distinct gap in the right-hand embankment as the Metro line turns under the adjacent road bridge.

Woodcross is a residential area of Coseley, West Midlands, England. It is set within the City of Wolverhampton, though the area traditionally existed within the boundaries of Sedgley and later Coseley until 1966.

Priestfield tram stop is a tram stop in Priestfield, Wolverhampton, England. It opened on 31 May 1999 and has park and ride facilities. It is situated on West Midlands Metro Line 1. It is situated near to the old site of Priestfield railway station, which closed in 1972. It is the last stop on the former railway section of line 1, before it switches to the street-running section, a short distance north of the stop.

The School of Politics and International Relations is an academic department at the University of Nottingham, England housed in the Law and Social Sciences Building (LASS) together with Law and Sociology. The school runs nine undergraduate programmes, nine postgraduate programmes and have a 40-strong PhD community. Research activity in the school is ranked around 7 Institutes.As of 2019 the head of school is Associate Professor Caitlin Milazzo.In 2013 the department was chosen along with the University of Oxford and the University of Manchester to host the 2015 British Election Study. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise the Department's research was ranked in the top 10 departments of Politics in the country and 85% of the research was considered of international standard. The department ranks 12th in The Guardian's 2013 league table of Politics departments. The Complete University Guide ranked Nottingham 10th for Politics in 2013 and 13th for Politics in 2014.

Coseley Urban District was a local government district in Staffordshire which was created in 1894.It was made up of the villages of Brierley (now Bradley), Ettingshall and Coseley, which had previously been part of the ancient manor of Sedgley - the western section of which formed Sedgley Urban District.The urban district council was based at a building in the town centre. It began building houses in the 1920s to replace sub standard older housing and by 1962 had built over 2,000 properties, mostly houses but also flats and bungalows. The largest developments were at Woodcross and Lanesfield on new housing estate, while large sections of the Wallbrook, Princes End and Hurst Hill areas were redeveloped with new housing during the 1950s and 1960s. Coseley urban district ceased to exist in 1966 when, under recommendations of the Local Government Commission for England, it was divided between the County Boroughs of Dudley, Wolverhampton and West Bromwich. Most of the historic Ettingshall village was placed in Wolverhampton, while Brierley was roughly half split between Wolverhampton and West Bromwich, and the main Coseley area became part of Dudley. In 1974, these became part of the newly created West Midlands metropolitan county The former Coseley Urban District Council offices became redundant with the abolition of the local authority, and were demolished soon afterwards.

Monmore Green Stadium is a greyhound racing and former motorcycle speedway stadium located in Wolverhampton. The stadium has private suites, a restaurant and a number of bars. The venue is owned and operated by the Ladbrokes Coral group.

The Coseley School was a mixed secondary school located in Coseley, West Midlands, England.The school closed in July 2017, in a phased closure, when the pupils who started in September 2012 completed their GCSE studies, while the younger three year groups were transferred to other schools from September 2016; with Dormston or High Arcal in neighbouring Sedgley being the most popular destinations. The site is now mothballed, with the intention of re-opening it to cater for the likely increase in secondary school pupils living in Coseley following the construction of a new housing development on the former Bean Industries and Newey Goodman sites in the south of the town.

Bilston West railway station was a station built by the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway in 1854. It was situated on the Oxford-Worcester-Wolverhampton Line. The station eventually closed in 1962.The station site has since disappeared under industrial and redevelopment as the Black Country Route and commercial premises have since been built on the former trackbed towards Priestfield although the trackbed can still be seen on an embankment before disappearing.
