Chatsworth Community Church is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in the Chatsworth section of Los Angeles, California.

Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park is a California State Park of 670.68 acres (2.7141 km2) located in the city of Los Angeles, in Los Angeles County on the boundary between Ventura and Los Angeles counties, between the communities of Chatsworth and Simi Valley. Geologically, the park is located where the Simi Hills meet the Santa Susana Mountains. Here in the western part of the Transverse Ranges, the land is dominated by high, narrow ridges and deep canyons covered with an abundant variety of plant life. The park offers panoramic views of the rugged natural landscape as a striking contrast to the developed communities nearby. The park is also rich in archaeological, historical, and cultural significance.

The Minnie Hill Palmer House, also known as The Homestead Acre, is the only remaining homestead cottage in the San Fernando Valley. The cottage is a redwood Stick-Eastlake style American Craftsman-Bungalow located on a 1.3-acre (0.53 ha) site in Chatsworth Park South in the Chatsworth section of Los Angeles, California.

The Santa Susana Tunnel is a railroad tunnel that connects the Simi and San Fernando valleys in Southern California. The tunnel is credited with saving considerable time and distance between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The tunnel is 7,369 feet (2,246 m) long and runs through the Simi Hills and Santa Susana Mountains. The tunnel is located beneath the Santa Susana Pass.

Standard Air Lines Flight 897R was a domestic passenger flight between Albuquerque, New Mexico and Burbank, California. At 7:43am on July 12, 1949, the flight, operated by a Curtiss C-46E (registered N79978), crashed in Chatsworth, California, upon approach to Burbank, killing 35 of the 48 passengers and crew on board.

Spahn Ranch, also known as the Spahn Movie Ranch, was a 55-acre (22.3 ha) movie ranch in Los Angeles, California. For a period it was used as a ranch, dairy farm and later movie set during the era of westerns. After a decline in use for filming by the 1950s, its owner George Spahn established a stable for renting horses for riding on the varied acres. It became known in the late 20th century as the primary headquarters of Charles Manson and his cult followers, the "Manson Family", for much of 1967 and 1968. They were notorious for the Tate-LaBianca murders of August 1969. The entrance to the historic ranch was originally at 12000 Santa Susana Pass Road (street numbers have since been changed) of the Simi Hills and Santa Susana Mountains above Chatsworth, California. It is no longer in use. After Spahn's death and a wildfire that destroyed the main ranch house and outbuildings, the land was incorporated into the Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park.

Chatsworth is a suburban neighborhood in Los Angeles, California, in the San Fernando Valley. The area was home to Native Americans, who left caves containing rock art. Chatsworth was explored and colonized by the Spanish beginning in the 18th century. The land was part of a Spanish land grant, Rancho Ex-Mission San Fernando, in the 19th century, and after the United States took over the land following the Mexican–American War, it was the largest such grant in California. Chatsworth has seven public and eight private schools. There are large open-space and smaller recreational parks as well as a public library and a transportation center. Distinctive features are the former Chatsworth Reservoir and the Santa Susana Field Laboratory. The neighborhood has one of the lowest population densities in Los Angeles and a relatively high income level. Chatsworth is the home of the Iverson Movie Ranch, a 500-acre area which was the most filmed movie ranch in history, as more than 2,000 productions used it as a filming location.

Chatsworth station (also known as Chatsworth Transportation Center) is an intermodal passenger transport station in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Chatsworth, United States. It is served by Amtrak inter-city rail service, Metrolink commuter rail service, Los Angeles Metro Busway bus rapid transit, and several transit bus operators. Chatsworth station is served by ten Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains (five in each direction) every day, with departures evenly spaced throughout the day. Sixteen Metrolink Ventura County Line trains (eight in each direction) serve the station each weekday, running during peak hours in the peak direction of travel. On weekends, four Metrolink Ventura County Line trains (two in each direction) serve the station. Metrolink passengers also have access to all Pacific Surfliner trains through a codesharing arrangement with Amtrak.It is also the northern terminus of the Metro G Line. The station is also served by Los Angeles Metro Bus and Simi Valley Transit local buses, plus Santa Clarita Transit and LADOT Commuter Express regional express bus routes. The Southern Pacific Railroad (SP) opened its first Chatsworth station in 1893; SP service ended in the 1950s. CalTrain service from 1982 to 1983, and Amtrak service beginning in 1988, used a station located 1.2 miles (1.9 km) to the southeast. Metrolink service began in 1992 with a station near the former SP station site; Amtrak service soon moved there. A station building was completed in 1996, and bus rapid transit service began in 2012.

Chatsworth Peak is a peak in the Simi Hills overlooking (to the east) Chatsworth and the western San Fernando Valley, in Los Angeles, Southern California. It is southwest of Santa Susana Pass and north of the Chatsworth Reservoir. Chatsworth Peak has an elevation of 2,313 feet (705 m).Nearby are Simi Peak in the western Simi Hills, and Oat Mountain in the Santa Susana Mountains.

Browns Creek Bike Path is a Class I bike path that is “tucked away from the surrounding hustle and bustle” of the San Fernando Valley, “hugging the side” of the Browns Canyon Wash. The path begins at Lassen Street, just east of Chatsworth Metrolink Station, and ends just north of Rinaldi Street near Stoney Point Park. Browns Creek (sometimes called Brown’s Creek), a tributary of the Los Angeles River, offers “splendid views of the irregularly shaped Santa Susana mountains rising to the west.” One local writer observed, “What [the concrete-lined creek] lacks in scenery, it compensates for by providing the trail with an open, airy setting.” The route has been described as “very rustic” (for an urban bike path, of course). The wash passes through a neighborhood with equestrian zoning and “Opposite the bike route, in the west levee, a horse trail also follows the creek.” Domestic goats, roosters and ponies have also been seen along the path. At Chatsworth station, bicyclists can connect to the G Line Bikeway. The path is in close proximity to Chatsworth Park North and Chatsworth Park South (both operated by the City of Los Angeles Parks Department) and Chatsworth Nature Preserve. Both Chatsworth Parks, “excellent parks…[with] interesting hills and rock formations there, as well as pleasant shaded rest areas” are accessible from Valley Circle Road. Riders can create an approximately 6.3-mile (10.1 km) loop beginning at either end of the Browns Creek route, connecting to Valley Circle Road via either Chatsworth Street or Lassen Street.

The Chatsworth Nature Preserve (CNP) is a 1,325-acre (536 ha) open-space preserve located in the northwest corner of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California, United States. The preserve contains oak woodlands, savanna, riparian areas, grassland, vernal pools, and an Ecology Pond, all of which support more than 200 bird species and numerous mammals, amphibians and reptiles.

Stoney Point, also known as the Stoney Point Outcroppings or Chatsworth Formation, is a Los Angeles City park near the north end of Topanga Canyon Boulevard (State Route 27) in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California, part of the city of Los Angeles. Stoney Point is a popular destination for hikers, equestrians and also with rock climbers because of its large boulders, which afford many opportunities to practice the sport of bouldering. The top of the rock formation offers excellent views of Chatsworth, the Santa Susana Mountains, Coyote Pass, and the entire San Fernando Valley. Wildlife including coyotes, rattlesnakes, red-tailed hawks, golden eagles, turkey vultures, rabbits, and skunks can all be found at Stoney Point. When visiting the park, dogs should be kept on a leash for their own safety and a watchful eye should be kept for africanized "killer" bees.
