The Crestwood School is a coeducational secondary school with academy status in Kingswinford, West Midlands, England. It is an 11-18 comprehensive school with over 900 students.

Pensnett Halt was a small railway stop on the Wombourne Branch Line. It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1925 and closed in 1932. The halt served the small town of Pensnett. The sidings around the station survived until about 1994, thanks to the Perrier distribution centre. The line north of these sidings has now been lifted. The trackbed between Gornal Halt and Pensnett Halt has become a wasteland with the bridge that took the line under High Street and towards Tansy Green Road being fenced off and has since been overgrown. At one point, the line from Pensnett Halt to Brockmoor Halt railway station became a footpath but has since been hardly used and is now overgrown with only the single track that carried the line to Gornal Halt still in situ and a steep, dangerous footpath from Gibbons Lane.

Bromley is a residential area of Kingswinford, West Midlands, England.It was a rural area for many centuries, mostly consisting of farmland, but since the Second World War has been extensively developed for upmarket private housing. Principle bus routes through the area are service 15/15A between Wolverhampton and Merry Hill Centre and service 226 between Dudley and the Merry Hill Centre. These are operated by National Express West Midlands and Diamond Bus respectively. A Tesco Express is located on Bromley Lane in the former Fox and Goose public house.Since the 1960s it has been home to The Crestwood School, a secondary school located on Bromley Lane.

Pensnett High School was a secondary school located in the Pensnett area of the Dudley Metropolitan Borough, in the West Midlands of England. There were around 150 pupils aged 14–16 on the school roll before closure.

Bromley Halt was a small railway stop on the Wombourne Branch Line. It had very poor patronage and, along with the rest of the line's passenger stations, was closed just seven years after its introduction by the Great Western Railway in 1925. The halt served the communities between Pensnett, Wordsley and Kingswinford. Bromley Halt ran alongside the Stourbridge Extension Canal, which itself was eventually removed. Only two platforms and a single line from Bromley Halt to Pensnett Halt and Kingswinford Junction remain.

Wordsley Hospital was an NHS hospital located in Wordsley, near Stourbridge, West Midlands, England.

Wordsley is a suburban area of Stourbridge in the West Midlands, England. It is part of the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley and falls into the Stourbridge (DY8) postcode and address area, being just north of the River Stour. Wordsley is part of the Dudley South Parliamentary constituency. It is bordered by open Staffordshire countryside to the west, Kingswinford to the North, Brierley Hill to the East and Stourbridge to the South.

Kingswinford is a town of the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley in the English West Midlands, situated 5 miles (8.0 km) west-southwest of central Dudley. In 2011 the area had a population of 25,191, down from 25,808 at the 2001 Census.The current economic focus of Kingswinford is education and housing for commuters. Positioned at the far western edge of the West Midlands Urban Area it borders on a rural area extending past the River Severn; but its position at the edge of the Black Country and its long standing in the area means it has had significant industrial influence in the past. This is illustrated by the influence in creating local workhouses, which shows a population of 15,000 plus in the 1831 census.

Kingswinford Academy is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Kingswinford, West Midlands, England.The school is run by the standard English Education System and operates with Year 7, 8 and 9 falling under KS3 and Year 10 and 11 falling under KS4, with students choosing their GCSE subjects in Year 9 and beginning their two-year GCSE learning in Year 10. The school is run by the head teacher, Thomas Macdonald. There is about 100 staff operating in the school and 1000 students. There are roughly 180 students per year group.

Gornal Halt was a small railway stop on the Wombourne Branch Line. It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1925 and closed in 1932. The halt served the nearby village of Gornal Wood. The railway passing through the site remained open until 1968. The South Staffordshire Railway Walk ends around the Gornal Halt area and the site of Gornal Halt towards Pensnett Halt railway station has become "Himley View", which is a mix of a housing estate and industrial estates.

The Wordsley School is a coeducational community secondary school, located in Wordsley (near Stourbridge) in the West Midlands of England.

The Stourbridge Extension Canal was a short canal built to serve a number of mines in the Kingswinford area of Staffordshire in England. Although connected to the Stourbridge Canal, it was independent from it. It opened in 1840, and was abandoned in 1935. A short section of it is still used as moorings for boats using the Stourbridge Canal.
