Pimpama River

Jacobs Well is a coastal suburb in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. In the 2021 census, Jacobs Well had a population of 2,882 people. Jacob Wells is positioned on the delta of the Pimpama River at the southern end of Moreton Bay. It is best known for its four-lane boat ramp, Volunteer Marine Rescue facility and the surrounding sugarcane fields.

Pimpama is a northern suburb in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. At the 2021 census, Pimpama had a population of 24,601. The name is of Aboriginal origin. The suburb contains numerous schools with the first opening in the 1870s. A small farming community grew in the area from the 1860s. It was once a stop for Cobb and Co coach services. Pimpama was the location of the state's first sawmill. Growing arrowroot had become popular from as early as the 1880s. By 1908, the region's arrowroot crop supplied the whole country. More recently the suburb has experienced high rates of housing development due to the availability of land and proximity to the motorway.

It was the second of such developments in Australia (after St Hubert's Island) and is notable for its impact in planning legislation in Queensland to allow it to proceed, due to the privatisation of such large areas of urban land.

The Australian WPGA Championship is a women's professional golf tournament on the WPGA Tour of Australasia held in Queensland, Australia. First held at Royal Queensland Golf Club in 2022, it later moved to Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club. Players compete to lift the Karrie Webb Cup. Beginning in 2025, the tournament is co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour, as part of its Australian swing alongside the Women's NSW Open and Australian Women's Classic.

Broadwater is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland.
