Slavonska Avenue (Croatian: Slavonska avenija) is a limited-access avenue in Zagreb, Croatia. It is the longest street in Zagreb, being 18 km (11 mi) long. It mostly has a 70 km/h (43 mph) speed limit, although the speed is limited to 100 km/h (62 mph) on a short section near the Ivanja Reka interchange with the Zagreb bypass. In 2007 the avenue was proclaimed to be the most accident-prone road in Zagreb. The avenue is an important east-west arterial road. Starting at the interchange with Savska Road, it intersects, featuring mainly two and three-level interchanges, several other main Zagreb thoroughfares (sorted eastbound): Croatian Fraternal Union Avenue, Marin Držić Avenue, Vjekoslav Heinzel Avenue, Gospić Road, Ljudevit Posavski Road. Slavonska Avenue does not have any tram lines, although most lines in Zagreb pass over or under the avenue.

Borongaj is a neighborhood the Peščenica – Žitnjak district of Zagreb, Croatia. It is situated south of the main railway along Branimir Avenue and east of Donje Svetice Road. It is the location of the former Borongaj Airfield. For administrative purposes, Borongaj is part of the "Bruno Bušić" local committee. It covers an area of 68.7 hectares (170 acres), and it is populated by 4,571 inhabitants (2011).

Sigečica is a neighbourhood in the southeast of Zagreb, Croatia, within the Trnje district. The area of the local city council of Sigečica has a population of 6,077 (census 2021). The name Sigečica comes from old river islands in the Sava river valley, and city planners decided to name a lot of the neighbourhood streets after Adriatic islands. Sigečica became urbanized and integrated into the city in the late 1920s.

Volovčica is a neighbourhood in the southeast of Zagreb, Croatia, within the Peščenica – Žitnjak district. The area of the local city council of Volovčica has a population of 5,275 (census 2021). The area is part of the new Peščenica settlement that started to be built in 1932.

Homeland Bridge (Croatian: Domovinski most) is an 840-meter-long (2,756 ft) bridge over the Sava River located in southeastern Zagreb, Croatia. Its administrative location is the city district Peščenica - Žitnjak. The bridge carries four lanes connecting the Radnička street between the Petruševec neighborhood in the north and the Kosnica interchange with the Zagreb bypass in the south. The bridge was built in the mid-2000s and opened in the spring of 2007 after numerous delays. It was formally opened by the Zagreb mayor Milan Bandić and the Minister of construction Marina Matulović-Dropulić.The bridge is a part of a transportation project to improve and widen the connections of the satellite city Velika Gorica to Zagreb. Nevertheless, currently it alone does not achieve this goal, because the access road (Radnička street) towards it has remained narrow, pending reconstruction, and the road afterwards leads only towards the beltway, it does not continue towards Velika Gorica, to the dismay of local residents. The road is supposed to connect Kosnica and Velika Gorica and continue southwards along the route of the D31 state road. The bridge has space reserved on the median for two light railroad tracks (intended for the proposed line to Zagreb Airport). It also carries the main sewer collector transporting sewage from southern boroughs to the treatment plant at Žitnjak.

Resnik is a neighbourhood in the southeast of Zagreb, Croatia, within the Peščenica - Žitnjak district. The area of the local city council of Resnik has a population of 1,414 (census 2021). The core of the area was once an old village, first recorded in 1217. After World War II, it was part of a local administration unit called Resnički gaj (lit. 'Resnik grove'), together with Donja Dubrava. After 1952, it was part of the city municipality of Dubrava. The newly built Zagreb section of the Brotherhood and Unity Highway separated Resnik from the forested Resnički gaj to the north. In 1974, it became part of the city municipality of Peščenica. The western part of the area is an industrial zone.

It is located in the northeastern part of the city and divided by the Dubrava Avenue into two administrative areas: Gornja Dubrava (Upper Dubrava), population 61,841 (2011) Donja Dubrava (Lower Dubrava), population 36,363The name comes from a Slavic toponym for oak forests. The species of oak that grows in this area is Quercus robur L.

Donja Dubrava (Croatian pronunciation: [dôːɲaː dǔbraʋa], "Lower Dubrava") is one of the districts of Zagreb, Croatia. It is located in the northeastern part of the city and in 2011 had 36,363 inhabitants.

Ravnice is a neighbourhood in the northeast of Zagreb, Croatia, within the Maksimir district. The area of the local city council of Maksimirska naselja (lit. 'the settlements of Maksimir') has a population of 8,308 (census 2021). The area is a lowland south of the Maksimir Park. It includes the area of the Zagreb Zoo and the Maksimir Stadium.
