Sutton-at-Hone is a village in the civil parish of Sutton-at-Hone and Hawley in the Borough of Dartford in Kent, England. It is located 3.5 miles south of Dartford & 3.6 miles north east of Swanley.

Farningham Road railway station is on the Chatham Main Line in England, serving the villages of Farningham, Sutton-at-Hone, Horton Kirby and South Darenth, Kent. It is 20 miles 41 chains (33.0 km) down the line from London Victoria and is situated between Swanley and Longfield. The station and all trains that call are operated by Southeastern. The ticket office, on the 'up' (London-bound) side, is situated in the substantial station building. This is staffed only during part of the day; at other times a PERTIS passenger-operated ticket machine issues permits to travel, which are exchanged on-train or at staffed stations for travel tickets, and is located on the 'down' (country-bound) platform. The railway line was electrified as part of the Southern Railway's "Maidstone & Gillingham Electrification" scheme of July 1939. The station was previously named Farningham Road & Sutton-at-Hone.

Sutton-at-Hone and Hawley is a civil parish within the Borough of Dartford in Kent, England. It lies to the south of the urban part of the Borough, and consists of the two settlements named, both to the west of the River Darent, one of the parish boundaries. The M25 motorway divides them. It has a population of 4,133, increasing to 4,230 at the 2011 Census.

South Darenth is a village in the civil parish of Horton Kirby and South Darenth in the Sevenoaks District of Kent, England. It is located 4.2 miles east of Swanley & 4.4 miles south of Dartford.

The Church of St Margaret of Antioch at Darenth, Kent, is a church with Norman origins thought to be the third oldest in Kent and the sixth oldest in the United Kingdom. It is a Grade I listed building.The chancel and nave are late 10th century or early 11th century. The sanctuary is early 12th century. The church was restored twice in the 19th century, first by William Burges in 1866-68 and then by Ewan Christian in 1888. Newman describes the church as "important, but visually rather charmless."

The area in the seat, remaining a combination of urban, suburban and a small rural population, has been gradually reduced through contribution to new seats, their county designation later being changed in 1965 to become part of the new county of Greater London, which adjoins. These seats are Bexley, created in 1945 and Erith & Crayford, created in 1955.

Horton Kirby and South Darenth, formerly just Horton Kirby is a civil parish in the Sevenoaks district of Kent, England. The parish is located in the River Darent valley between Sevenoaks town and Dartford: it consists of the two villages of Horton Kirby and South Darenth. On 1 April 1979 the parish was renamed from "Horton Kirby" to "Horton Kirby & South Darenth".Horton Kirby Paper Mills in South Darenth were founded by Henry Hall at the beginning of the 19th century. Since June 2003, the mills have ceased processing paper.

Horton Kirby Boys Home also known as Home for Little Boys was a private railway station opened in 1870 by the London, Chatham and Dover Railway to serve "Home for Little Boys", a cottage homes village in Horton Kirby, which was opened in 1867. It was sited between Farningham Road and Longfield stations on the Chatham Main Line. It only had a 'down' platform (direction Longfield) and there was no 'up' platform. The station closed by 1930 and was demolished in 1939.

Franks Hall in Horton Kirby, Kent, (grid reference TQ 555 677) is a large Elizabethan country house, completed in 1591. The Grade I listed building remains a private house.

Horton Kirby is a village in the Sevenoaks District of Kent, England. It is located 3.9 miles east of Swanley & 4.9 miles south of Dartford. Together with the nearby village of South Darenth, it forms the Horton Kirby and South Darenth civil parish.
