Madison High School (Michigan)

Madison Heights is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring suburb of Detroit, Madison Heights is located roughly 12 miles (19.3 km) north of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 28,468.

Ascension Michigan, formerly St. John Providence Health System and the St. John Health System, is the Michigan division of Ascension Health. It was its own non-profit corporation that owned and operated four hospitals and over 125 medical facilities in the U.S. state of Michigan. Its headquarters were in the St. John Providence Corporate Services Building in Warren in Metro Detroit. The parent company of St. John Providence is Ascension in St. Louis.The organization had more than 18,000 employees and operates 2,033 licensed beds.

Universal Shopping Center, formerly Universal Mall and Universal City, is a redeveloped open-air power center located in Warren, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. The first phase opened in mid-2009 with Target, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, and Petco.

Hazel Park Raceway, located in Hazel Park, Michigan, in the metropolitan Detroit area, was a horse race track. From 1949 it offered live thoroughbred racing every Friday and Saturday night May through mid-September, and also offered harness racing. Beginning in 1996, it offered simulcast wagering seven days a week all year long on thoroughbred and harness races from across the US and Canada. Admission and parking were free. For a period, this was the only track in Michigan to offer live thoroughbred racing. The track opened in 1949 for Thoroughbred flat racing. In 1953 a harness racing season was added. After 1985, only Standardbred harness racing events were run here until 2014, when Thoroughbred racing was revived. The track was sold and closed in April 2018, leaving Northville Downs as the only horse racing track in Michigan. It closed in 2019. In 2021 an Amazon distribution center opened on the site. Under the ownership of Bernard Hartman and Herbert Tyner, owners of Hartman and Tyner Inc., in 2009 Hazel Park generated roughly $550,000 in revenue for the City of Hazel Park.

Mary Help of Christians Academy was a small, Traditionalist Catholic K-12 school located in Warren, Michigan. It was founded by Donald Sanborn in 1986 with the purchase of a former Montessori school campus. From a few families it expanded to around 200 students at its peak of enrollment. Internal disagreement between parents and school management (then including Robert Neville) in 1999 caused a number of families to leave. The school's teachers were dismissed from their positions and replaced with nuns from Robert McKenna's Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Enrollment continued to decline and the school was closed in 2004. The campus was sold to a local Eastern Orthodox church.

Hazel Park High School is a public high school in Hazel Park, Michigan. The school serves grades 9-12 and is a part of the Hazel Park Schools District. It opened in 1929 at the current site of the Junior High School and moved to its current location in 1961. The school has been named a Reward School by the Michigan Department of Education.

Warren Mott High School (WMHS, commonly referred to as Mott) is a public high school in Warren, Michigan, United States. It is part of the Warren Consolidated Schools district. It was founded in 1992 by the merger of the previous Warren High School and Charles Stewart Mott High School.

WCHB (1340 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Royal Oak, Michigan, and serving the Detroit metropolitan area. It broadcasts an urban gospel radio format and is owned by Crawford Broadcasting. The station is a reporter to Billboard's Nielsen/BDS Gospel airplay panel. The radio studios and offices are shared with co-owned WMUZ, WMUZ-FM and WRDT, on Radio Plaza in Ferndale, Michigan. WCHB broadcasts in the HD format and. It is powered at 1,000 watts, using a directional antenna in the daytime. The transmitter is on West Woodland Heights Boulevard in Ferndale, near Interstate 75. Programming is also heard on 99-watt FM translator W244DL at 96.7 MHz in Detroit.

Hazel Park is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring suburb of Detroit, Hazel Park borders Detroit to the north, roughly 10 miles (16.1 km) north of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 14,983.Hazel Park was incorporated as a city in 1941 and bills itself as The Friendly City. From 1949 to 2018, it was the site of the Hazel Park Raceway, considered a high-quality facility originally used for both Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing. From 1985 on, the track ran only harness races. After 1996, it also provided simulcasts of races year round from across North America, with betting allowed on these races at the track facilities.

DMC Surgery Hospital was one of the eight hospitals/Institutions composing the Detroit Medical Center. DMC Surgery Hospital was dedicated to the surgical needs of adults and children. Surgery for adults covered the full range of orthopaedic surgeries, neurosurgery relative to the spine and podiatric surgery. In association with the Children's Hospital of Michigan, surgery for pediatric patients primarily provided services for all outpatient surgical needs. The major emphasis of the facility was a commitment to orthopaedic sports medicine which includes services for both adults and adolescents. The hospital also offered 24-hour emergency care and psychiatric inpatient services.

WFCB-LP (100.7 FM) is a community radio station in Ferndale, Michigan, owned by Ferndale Radio, Incorporated, formerly known as Underwood V Radio, Incorporated (pronounced "Underwood Five Radio"), having launched in 2016. Ferndale Radio was created by five friends who have a strong passion for music and missed the freedom and creative expression of college radio. The studio and tower is located in the heart of Ferndale at the Rust Belt Market. The station covers the immediate Ferndale and Royal Oak areas, as well as portions of Detroit's North End. The station is a non profit 501c 3 run completely by volunteers and supported by donations and local underwriters. The station's application was confirmed as acceptable by Industry Canada for coordination purposes under NARBA, on July 25, 2014, and its construction permit was granted on August 7, 2014. Due to its proximity and frequency, the station is subject to interference from nearby CKUE-FM-1 in Windsor, Ontario, which broadcasts at a substantially higher power (3.84 kW) from a tower very close to the Canada–United States border. In 2020 and 2021, the station started raising funds for online streaming. Ferndale Project, a local brewery in Ferndale, brewed a Ferndale Radio beer and part of the proceeds were donated to their streaming efforts. Ferndale Radio is on track to start streaming at the start of 2022.
