DMC Surgery Hospital was one of the eight hospitals/Institutions composing the Detroit Medical Center. DMC Surgery Hospital was dedicated to the surgical needs of adults and children. Surgery for adults covered the full range of orthopaedic surgeries, neurosurgery relative to the spine and podiatric surgery. In association with the Children's Hospital of Michigan, surgery for pediatric patients primarily provided services for all outpatient surgical needs. The major emphasis of the facility was a commitment to orthopaedic sports medicine which includes services for both adults and adolescents. The hospital also offered 24-hour emergency care and psychiatric inpatient services.

Madison High School is a public high school located in Madison Heights, Michigan, United States, in Oakland County. Its mascot is the Eagle. It is a part of Madison District Public Schools. The original high school was built in 1924 to serve students who had attended the one-room school houses in the southern half of what is now Madison Heights. Its first graduating class, in 1929, consisted of two students. The Madison School District became a graded district in 1925. The original high school's gymnasium had its first electric scoreboard in 1941, the result of a magazine sale conducted by the Eagles basketball team. In 1958 the current Madison High School was built; the former high school is now Wilkinson Middle School.

It is located in the northwest corner of the intersection of 14 Mile and John R. roads, adjacent to Interstate 75 (Chrysler Freeway). The mall features 116 stores, including a food court, plus several big-box stores on the periphery. The mall has 1,500,000 square feet (140,000 m2). Ascension Michigan, formerly St. John Providence Health System and the St. John Health System, is the Michigan division of Ascension Health. It was its own non-profit corporation that owned and operated four hospitals and over 125 medical facilities in the U.S. state of Michigan. Its headquarters were in the St. John Providence Corporate Services Building in Warren in Metro Detroit. The parent company of St. John Providence is Ascension in St. Louis.The organization had more than 18,000 employees and operates 2,033 licensed beds.

Royal Oak is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring suburb of Detroit, Royal Oak is located roughly 14 miles (22.5 km) north of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 58,211.Royal Oak is located along the Woodward Corridor, and is served by Interstate 75 and Interstate 696. The city has one of the largest downtowns in Detroit's suburbs, and is also home to much of the Detroit Zoo, with portions extending into neighboring Huntington Woods.

Arts, Beats & Eats is a U.S. Labor Day Weekend festival held in Royal Oak, Michigan. Prior to 2010 it was held in downtown Pontiac, Michigan streets in storefront businesses and at the Phoenix Plaza Amphitheatre. The festival is sponsored by local businesses, including Ford, the naming sponsor. Proceeds from Arts, Beats & Eats benefit local charities; an estimated 1.7 million was donated in the first seven years. A juried arts exhibition, food court, concert stages with local and national acts and a charity preview gala highlight festival programming. In 2005, families were treated to special fun in the Family Village, including the following play zones: Wild Kingdom Adventure Tour 75th Birthday Exhibit Kids Talent Quest Kids Corner Stage Tire Toss Charity Game Arts & Crafts AreaProgramming begins Friday afternoon and ends Monday evening. 2020 saw a virtual festival. 2021 saw the return of Arts, Beats, and Eats sponsored by Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.

The Main Art Theater was a movie theater located at 118 North Main Street in downtown Royal Oak, Michigan, at the corner of Main Street and 11 Mile Road. Opened on August 7, 1941 by Robert Anthony, it was originally a single-screen theater with 800 seats. In 1983, the original 800-seat theater was split into two theaters during renovations, and a third theater was added to the building in 1993.The Main Art specialized in art films and independent movies, and regularly held midnight showings of classic films on Friday and Saturday nights. The theater showed mainstream films prior to its arthouse renovation in 1983. Landmark Theatres operated the Main Art from 1997 until its closure in 2021. In May 2022, A.F. Jonna Management & Development gained approval from the Royal Oak City Council to demolish the theater for a mixed-use building. The Main Art was officially demolished on the afternoon of July 25, 2022.
