Claremont station is a train station in Claremont, New Hampshire served by Amtrak, the U.S. national railroad passenger system. The station was originally opened in 1920 by the Boston and Maine Railroad as Claremont Junction. The station has parking for bicycles, as well as a bicycle sales and repair shop called The Wheel House. Claremont is the only Amtrak station in western New Hampshire and is presently served by Amtrak's daily Vermonter service.

Union Episcopal Church, also known as the English Church, is a historic church located on Old Church Road in Claremont, New Hampshire, in the United States. Built in 1773, it is the oldest surviving Episcopal church building in New Hampshire and is also the state's oldest surviving building built exclusively for religious purposes. It is still an active parish in the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire. On February 1, 1980, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The North Charlestown Historic District encompasses a 19th-century rural village in Charlestown, New Hampshire. Located about 5 miles (8 km) north of the town's center, the district includes a small cluster of buildings along New Hampshire Route 12A (River Road) that is a remnant portion of a larger agricultural village. First settled in the 1750s, the oldest buildings in the district date to the 1790s, and most of the major buildings were built in the 19th century. Its economy was based on lumber (supported by a mill on the Little Sugar River) and farming. The village was once considered a much larger, dispersed settlement, but construction of New Hampshire Route 11 in the 1960s separated some of the more remote parts of the village from its nucleus, which was bypassed by that construction.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. It extends along NH 12A from its junction with Ox Brook Rooad south to the Little Sugar River, just north of its junction with Depot Hill Road. Notable buildings include the 1841 Greek Revival Methodist Church, the Union Hall/Grange Hall built in 1888, and the Farwell School, a stone building erected in 1889. Most of the district's buildings are wood-frame houses, although there are two of brick. Stylistically, they are typically vernacular expressions of Federal and Greek Revival architecture, although examples of Italianate and Second Empire architecture are also to be seen. The district also includes ruinous mill remnants on the Little Sugar River.

The Little Sugar River is a 13.5-mile-long (21.7 km) river in western New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Connecticut River, which flows to Long Island Sound. The river flows parallel to and approximately 5 miles (8 km) south of the Sugar River. The Little Sugar River begins on a tableland in the town of Unity, then drops to the west, cutting a small gorge past the north end of Perry Mountain, and enters the town of Charlestown. The river reaches the Connecticut just west of the village of North Charlestown.

The Farwell School is a historic school building at 509 River Road (New Hampshire Route 12A) in the North Charlestown village of Charlestown, New Hampshire. Built in 1890, it is one of two Romanesque Revival buildings in the town, and the only one executed in stone. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It is now part of the North Charlestown Community School.

The Sugar River is a 27.0-mile-long (43.5 km) river located in western New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Connecticut River, which flows to Long Island Sound. The Sugar River originates at the outlet of Lake Sunapee in the town of Sunapee, New Hampshire. The river flows west through the town of Newport and the city of Claremont. It reaches the Connecticut across from the village of Ascutney, Vermont. Numerous falls and steep drops on the Sugar River have led to hydro-powered industrial development. Besides the large mill towns of Claremont and Newport, hydro-related developments occur in the villages of Sunapee, Wendell, Guild, and West Claremont. An inactive railroad known as the Concord to Claremont Line follows the Sugar River from Wendell to the river's mouth. Tributaries of the Sugar River include the South Branch, entering in Newport, and the North Branch, entering between Newport and North Newport.

Ascutney is an unincorporated village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Weathersfield, Windsor County, Vermont, United States. It is located in the northeastern section of Weathersfield, in the portion of that town adjacent to Mount Ascutney, after which the village is named. As of the 2010 census, the population of the CDP was 540.

The Spencer Hollow School is a historic school building at 50 Spencer Hollow Road in Springfield, Vermont. Built about 1810, it is a fine local example of a district schoolhouse. It was used as a school until 1926, and as a clubhouse for a time thereafter. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The Gen. Lewis R. Morris House is a historic house and farm property at 456 Old Connecticut River Road in Springfield, Vermont. Its main house, built in 1795, is well-preserved local example of Federal architecture with later Greek Revival features. The property also includes well-preserved 19th-century agricultural buildings, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The William Rossiter House is a historic house at 11 Mulberry Street in Claremont, New Hampshire. Built in 1813 and enlarged by about 1850, it is a distinctive local example of Greek Revival architecture, with many surviving Federal period features. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
