Spencer Hollow School

The Windsor-1-2 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Windsor-1-2 District includes that part of the Windsor County town of Springfield not included in Windsor-1-1. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Windsor-1-2 District had a population of 8,956 in that same census, 10.32% above the state average.

The Gen. Lewis R. Morris House is a historic house and farm property at 456 Old Connecticut River Road in Springfield, Vermont. Its main house, built in 1795, is well-preserved local example of Federal architecture with later Greek Revival features. The property also includes well-preserved 19th-century agricultural buildings, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Tory's Cave is in Springfield, Vermont, across the Connecticut River from Charlestown, New Hampshire. The cave has two entrances, one of which has a commanding view of the river. The cave contains a room large enough to accommodate several people. In 1781, Shem Kemfield, a Tory from Charlestown, New Hampshire, and several companions lived in the cave for a short time.

The Eureka Schoolhouse is a historic school building at 470 Charlestown Road (Vermont Route 11) in the Goulds Mill village of Springfield, Vermont. Built in 1785, it is the oldest surviving schoolhouse in the state. It is the centerpiece of a small historic site operated by the state. The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The Baltimore Covered Bridge is a wooden covered bridge in Springfield, Vermont, United States.

The Gould's Mill Bridge is a historic Baltimore through truss bridge, carrying Paddock Street across the Black River in Springfield, Vermont. The bridge was built by the Boston Bridge Works Company in 1929 after major flooding in 1927, and is one of the state's few examples of a Baltimore truss. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The Black River is a 40.8-mile-long (65.7 km) river in the U.S. state of Vermont, and a tributary of the Connecticut River. The watershed, or drainage basin, consists of some 202 square miles (520 km2) in southeastern Vermont, almost all of which lies in Windsor County.

The Little Sugar River is a 13.5-mile-long (21.7 km) river in western New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Connecticut River, which flows to Long Island Sound. The river flows parallel to and approximately 5 miles (8 km) south of the Sugar River. The Little Sugar River begins on a tableland in the town of Unity, then drops to the west, cutting a small gorge past the north end of Perry Mountain, and enters the town of Charlestown. The river reaches the Connecticut just west of the village of North Charlestown.

The Cheshire Bridge spans the Connecticut River between Charlestown, New Hampshire and Springfield, Vermont.

The Fort at Number 4 was a mid-18th century stockade fortification protecting Plantation Number 4, the northernmost British settlement along the Connecticut River in the Province of New Hampshire until after the French and Indian War. It was located in the present-day town of Charlestown, New Hampshire. A recreation of the fort, dating to 1960, now functions as an open-air museum, and was added to the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in July 2020.

The siege of Fort at Number Four (7–9 April 1747) was a frontier action at present-day Charlestown, New Hampshire, during King George's War. The Fort at Number 4 (named so because it was located in the fourth of a series of recently surveyed township land parcels), was unsuccessfully besieged by a French and Native force under the command of Ensign Joseph Boucher de Niverville. The British defenders were alerted to the presence of the besiegers by their dogs, and were well-prepared to defend the fort. They successfully fought off attempts to burn the fort down, and turned down demands that they surrender. Some of Boucher de Niverville's Natives, short on provisions, attempted to bargain with the fort's defenders for supplies, but were rejected.

The Farwell School is a historic school building at 509 River Road (New Hampshire Route 12A) in the North Charlestown village of Charlestown, New Hampshire. Built in 1890, it is one of two Romanesque Revival buildings in the town, and the only one executed in stone. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It is now part of the North Charlestown Community School.
