Claremont Municipal Airport (IATA: CNH, ICAO: KCNH, FAA LID: CNH) is a public-use airport located one nautical mile (1.85 km) west of the central business district of Claremont, a city in Sullivan County, New Hampshire, United States. This general aviation airport is publicly owned by the City of Claremont. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility.The nearest airport with scheduled airline service is Lebanon Municipal Airport.

Claremont station is a train station in Claremont, New Hampshire served by Amtrak, the U.S. national railroad passenger system. The station was originally opened in 1920 by the Boston and Maine Railroad as Claremont Junction. The station has parking for bicycles, as well as a bicycle sales and repair shop called The Wheel House. Claremont is the only Amtrak station in western New Hampshire and is presently served by Amtrak's daily Vermonter service.

Built in 1813 and enlarged by about 1850, it is a distinctive local example of Greek Revival architecture, with many surviving Federal period features. Valley Regional Hospital is a hospital located on 243 Elm Street in Claremont, New Hampshire, United States. It was established in 1893 as Cottage Hospital. As a 25-bed, 24/7-staffed emergency department hospital, it is the only such facility in Sullivan County. In a typical year 12,500 people will visit its emergency admission section.In 2015, Valley Regional Hospital was rated as being in the top 25 of hospitals nationally on a set of composite quality and patient experience measures.Starting 2015, the hospital began using green fuel, specifically 250,000 gallons per year of cellulosic ethanol.

The Sugar River is a 27.0-mile-long (43.5 km) river located in western New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Connecticut River, which flows to Long Island Sound. The Sugar River originates at the outlet of Lake Sunapee in the town of Sunapee, New Hampshire. The river flows west through the town of Newport and the city of Claremont. It reaches the Connecticut across from the village of Ascutney, Vermont. Numerous falls and steep drops on the Sugar River have led to hydro-powered industrial development. Besides the large mill towns of Claremont and Newport, hydro-related developments occur in the villages of Sunapee, Wendell, Guild, and West Claremont. An inactive railroad known as the Concord to Claremont Line follows the Sugar River from Wendell to the river's mouth. Tributaries of the Sugar River include the South Branch, entering in Newport, and the North Branch, entering between Newport and North Newport.

The David Dexter House is a historic house on Lincoln Heights in northern Claremont, New Hampshire. Built about 1790, it is a prominent local example of Federal period architecture, and was home to David Dexter, whose early mills were the first in the city's industrial history. The house was moved to its present location in 1975 to avoid demolition, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It now houses apartments.

The Monadnock Mills are a historic mill complex in Claremont, New Hampshire. They extend along the southern bank of the Sugar River on both sides of Water Street, between the Broad Street bridge to the east, and the junction of Main and Water Streets in the west, where they abut the industrial area formerly associated with the Sullivan Machinery Company; there also a small number of surviving elements on the north side of the river opposite this area. The complex represents the surviving elements of what was once the largest manufacturing complex in the upper Connecticut River watershed area, and one of its oldest. The mills were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Many of its buildings have been repurposed to other uses.

Stevens High School is the only public high school in Claremont, New Hampshire, United States. It is in the center of the city on the corner of Broad and Summer streets. It was founded in 1868, the result of a $20,000 donation by Paran Stevens to Claremont with the proviso that the city appropriate a like sum. In the early 1990s, the school gained status as the host to one of the earlier Apple Macintosh user groups, primarily attended by high school faculty. Stevens High School is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges as well as the State of New Hampshire Department of Education.
