Gisborne railway station is located on the Deniliquin line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of New Gisborne, and it opened on 8 July 1861.

The Electoral district of Gisborne was an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It was created in 1967 and abolished in 2002.A notable member was Athol Guy, of the folk/pop group The Seekers.

The Shire of Gisborne was a now-defunct local government area northwest of Melbourne until its abolition in 1995, when the Shire of Macedon Ranges was created from the merging of the Shires of Gisborne, Newham and Woodend, Romsey, and parts of the Shire of Kyneton.

Gisborne Secondary College is a co-educational secondary school located in Gisborne, Victoria, established in 1981. The current enrolment is 1071 students. Students attend from years seven to twelve. The college serves a large proportion of the southern Macedon Ranges district in Victoria, with over 800 students attending school via school bus. The College has a large range of subject offerings, including electives from Year 9 onwards, and at the Senior School, VCE, VCE-VM, and VET programs.

Macedon railway station is located on the Deniliquin line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Macedon, and it opened on 8 July 1861 as Middle Gully. It was renamed Macedon on 1 April 1870.Sidings and a crossover once existed at the station. By 1984, they were abolished. In 1994, the Victoria Street level crossing, which was located at the down end of the station, was closed to road traffic except for emergency access vehicles. It was closed altogether in 1995.In March 2014, the platforms were extended to accommodate longer trains.

Mount Macedon ( MASS-ə-dən; Aboriginal Woiwurrung language: Geboor or Geburrh) is a dormant volcano that is part of the Macedon Ranges of the Great Dividing Range, located in the Central Highlands region of Victoria, Australia. The mountain has an elevation of 1,001 metres (3,284 ft) with a prominence of 643 metres (2,110 ft) and is located approximately 65 kilometres (40 mi) northwest of Melbourne.
