Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. (ESI) is an American high technology company headquartered in the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area, specifically in Beaverton, Oregon, since 2021, but from 1963–2021 it was based in the unincorporated Cedar Mill area just north of Beaverton. ESI is a developer and supplier of photonic and laser systems for microelectronics manufacturers. Founded in 1944, it is the oldest high-tech company in Oregon. Along with Tektronix, and later Intel, it has spawned numerous technology-based companies in the Portland area, an area known as the Silicon Forest. From 1983 to 2019, shares in the company were publicly traded on NASDAQ, under the ticker symbol ESIO. In October 2018, it was announced that a deal had been reached to sell the company to MKS Instruments, Inc. The deal was completed on February 1, 2019, making ESI a subsidiary of MKS.

Valley Catholic School is a private Roman Catholic school in Beaverton, Oregon, United States, within the Archdiocese of Portland. The school is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon. Until 1991, it was an all-girls school and was named St. Mary of the Valley Academy (colloquially known as "St. Mary's"), but at the start of the 1991–1992 school year boys were admitted for the first time, and the school was renamed Valley Catholic School.Valley Catholic has been accredited through the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools since 1965.During enrollment, students can apply for VCES Valley Catholic Elementary School, VCMS Valley Catholic Middle School, and VCHS Valley Catholic High School.

Millikan Way is a light rail station on the MAX Blue Line in Beaverton, Oregon. It is the 8th stop westbound on the Westside MAX. USB-C connectors can transfer data with rates up to 10 Gbit/s and provides up to 100 watts of power.In 2015, the seven-person board of directors, led by USB-IF President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Ravencraft, consisted of representatives of Apple, HP Inc., Intel Corporation, Microsoft Corporation, Renesas Electronics, STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments.In 2020, USB-IF announced updated USB Device Class Definition for MIDI Devices, Version 2.0 in support of MIDI 2.0 devices. According to Valdosta Daily Times, "The standard represents an industry-wide effort by the USB-IF, MIDI Manufacturers Association (MMA), and Association of Musical Electronics Industry (AMEI) to provide MIDI users with an expanded MIDI environment connected by USB." USB-IF President and COO, Jeff Ravencraft said, "USB-IF is proud to support the MMA and AMEI by publishing an updated USB Device Class Specification for next-generation MIDI devices. USB has been an integral part of the MIDI environment over the past 20 years, and we look forward to seeing innovative new devices that are enabled by this updated specification."

Beaverton Creek is a light rail station on the MAX Blue Line in Beaverton, Oregon, United States. It is the 9th stop westbound on the Westside MAX. The station is located near parkland, which is near the Nike World Campus. Retained at the station's crosswalk to the platform are remnants of a railroad spur, once used to serve light industrial customers and to deliver MAX vehicles. Nike operates its own fleet of shuttle buses, all running on biodiesel, to its world headquarters and nearby satellite offices. In March 2011, TriMet received a federal grant to pay for the installation of security cameras at the station.

Cedar Hills Crossing, formerly Beaverton Mall, is a retail shopping center in the city of Beaverton, Oregon, United States. The center is notable in that it was the prior site of a historic airport, Bernard's Airport, where many of the early aircraft innovations of the 1920s and 1930s occurred. Cedar Hills Crossing has been in operation since 1969, and is located approximately between the intersection of SW Cedar Hills Boulevard and Walker Road and the intersection of SW Cedar Hills Boulevard and Hall Boulevard. The current name was adopted in September 2002 when C.E. John Company began the redevelopment of the Mall. Three extra mall entrances, new building facades and 40,000 square feet (3,700 m2) of new retail space was involved in the redevelopment, including new restaurants and interior designs.

The Nike Sport Research Lab is a research and development institute located in Beaverton in the U.S. state of Oregon. Opened in 1980, the lab is owned by American apparel and footwear maker Nike. Commercials for the facility have featured famous NBA and PGA athletes talking positively about the products and the research behind them.

Beaverton High School (often referred to as The Beaverton High School) is a public high school located in Beaverton, Oregon, United States. The original schoolhouse, called Beaverton Public School, opened in 1875 on land between Canyon Road and Broadway Street. In 1902, a ninth grade class was added, followed by a 10th grade in 1910 and 11th grade in 1915. Voters approved a $21,000 bond issue submitted by the school board in 1915 to construct a 21-room high school building on land south of Second Street between Stott Street and Erickson Street. On June 19, 1916, the city of Beaverton dedicated the new Beaverton High School. Construction costs totaled $20,778, according to the Beaverton Times newspaper. It is the oldest high school in Beaverton and is believed to be the oldest public high school in the state of Oregon that is in its original location and building.

Bernard's Airport, also known as Bernard Airport, was a non-commercial airfield in Beaverton, Oregon, United States, from 1928 to 1969. In its early years, it was one of two private airports located in Beaverton, the other being Watts Field, about one-half mile to the south of Bernard's Airport. The Bernard Airport site was redeveloped in 1969 as "Bernard's Beaverton Mall", now known as Cedar Hills Crossing.
