The Nike Sport Research Lab is a research and development institute located in Beaverton in the U.S. state of Oregon. Opened in 1980, the lab is owned by American apparel and footwear maker Nike. Commercials for the facility have featured famous NBA and PGA athletes talking positively about the products and the research behind them.

USB-C connectors can transfer data with rates up to 10 Gbit/s and provides up to 100 watts of power.In 2015, the seven-person board of directors, led by USB-IF President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Ravencraft, consisted of representatives of Apple, HP Inc., Intel Corporation, Microsoft Corporation, Renesas Electronics, STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments.In 2020, USB-IF announced updated USB Device Class Definition for MIDI Devices, Version 2.0 in support of MIDI 2.0 devices. According to Valdosta Daily Times, "The standard represents an industry-wide effort by the USB-IF, MIDI Manufacturers Association (MMA), and Association of Musical Electronics Industry (AMEI) to provide MIDI users with an expanded MIDI environment connected by USB." USB-IF President and COO, Jeff Ravencraft said, "USB-IF is proud to support the MMA and AMEI by publishing an updated USB Device Class Specification for next-generation MIDI devices. USB has been an integral part of the MIDI environment over the past 20 years, and we look forward to seeing innovative new devices that are enabled by this updated specification."

Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. (ESI) is an American high technology company headquartered in the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area, specifically in Beaverton, Oregon, since 2021, but from 1963–2021 it was based in the unincorporated Cedar Mill area just north of Beaverton. ESI is a developer and supplier of photonic and laser systems for microelectronics manufacturers. Founded in 1944, it is the oldest high-tech company in Oregon. Along with Tektronix, and later Intel, it has spawned numerous technology-based companies in the Portland area, an area known as the Silicon Forest. From 1983 to 2019, shares in the company were publicly traded on NASDAQ, under the ticker symbol ESIO. In October 2018, it was announced that a deal had been reached to sell the company to MKS Instruments, Inc. The deal was completed on February 1, 2019, making ESI a subsidiary of MKS.

Merlo Road/Southwest 158th Avenue is a light rail station on the MAX Blue Line in Beaverton, Oregon, United States. It is the 10th stop westbound on the Westside MAX. Located to the south of the station is Merlo Garage used by TriMet buses and a paved path into Tualatin Hills Nature Park. It is also the primary transit stop for students attending Merlo Station High School. It is also a short walk to the Nike World campus, and the H.M. Terpenning Recreational center. In March 2011, TriMet received a federal grant to pay for the installation of security cameras at the station.

The Tualatin Hills Nature Park is a 222-acre nature park and wildlife preserve in Beaverton, Oregon, owned by the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD). It is one of THPRD's two nature parks along with Cooper Mountain Nature Park. The park features 5 miles (8 km) of trails, of which 1.5 miles are paved and 3.5 miles unpaved. The park features a diverse environment including several types of both evergreen and deciduous trees as well as creeks, wetlands, ponds, and meadows. Located on 15655 S.W. Millikan Way, at the main entrance to the park, is the Tualatin Hills Nature Center, formerly called the Tualatin Hills Nature Park Interpretive Center. The name was changed in November 2014. Nature supervisor Kristin Atman said that "six words is really a mouthful" and the new name would be more consistent with THPRD's other facilities.

The German American School of Portland, Oregon, offers a dual language program in German and English for preschool to 5th grade. It is one of the six schools in the United States accredited by the Federal Republic of Germany's Zentralstelle für das Auslandsschulwesen, Federal Office of Administration. 170 students from 25 nations attend school each day. The school offers full day and half day options for preschool, before-school care, extended care, after school programs, and music lessons on site. It is located at 3900 SW Murray Blvd., Beaverton, Oregon. Preschoolers and kindergartners are introduced to the German language as a part of creative and playful activities, so that they are comfortable with bilingual instruction as they enter the first grade. Classes are also offered for adults. Upon completion of the fifth grade, students are eligible to attend a partner school, Gilkey International Middle School, of the French American International School, which offers German-language instruction in language arts and social studies.On Saturdays, the school rents out its facility to a German Immersion Saturday school that is named for Sophie Scholl, a young woman who resisted the Nazis.In 2006, the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders of the German American School were among 100 winning schools in a poetry contest, and were awarded a free trip to Europe their German poems about soccer.In 2011, the German-American School opened its SolarLab and solar panel displays to the public.

Valley Catholic School is a private Roman Catholic school in Beaverton, Oregon, United States, within the Archdiocese of Portland. The school is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon. Until 1991, it was an all-girls school and was named St. Mary of the Valley Academy (colloquially known as "St. Mary's"), but at the start of the 1991–1992 school year boys were admitted for the first time, and the school was renamed Valley Catholic School.Valley Catholic has been accredited through the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools since 1965.During enrollment, students can apply for VCES Valley Catholic Elementary School, VCMS Valley Catholic Middle School, and VCHS Valley Catholic High School.

Millikan Way is a light rail station on the MAX Blue Line in Beaverton, Oregon. It is the 8th stop westbound on the Westside MAX. The station is located in the southern central part of the Tektronix Howard Vollum Campus. Other nearby business parks offer shuttle service to this station. One bus line serves this station and provides service to Washington Square Transit Center and Sunset Transit Center.

Merlo Station High School is a public high school located in Beaverton, Oregon, United States, which is part of the Beaverton School District (BSD). It is considered an "options" high school, meaning that it houses several different scholarly magnet programs that differ from "traditional" high schools. This allows Merlo Station to meet the many different needs of all its students. The school opened in 1993. One of the option schools that had been at Merlo Station campus since its opening in 1993, the School of Science and Technology, moved at the end of 2015 to a different site, shared with BSD's Health & Science School.
