The station is owned by Saga Communications, and operates as part of its Asheville Radio Group.

Mount Pisgah Academy is a four-year secondary education boarding and day school located in Candler, North Carolina, United States, near Asheville. The academy is named after the Mount Pisgah of biblical reference as well as its proximity to Mount Pisgah in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the campus lies on 230 acres (93 ha) of property. It was founded in 1914 as a private academy, by E.C. Waller, William Steinman, and C.A. Graves with their families, and originally called the Pisgah Industrial Institute. In 1952, its ownership was transferred to the Carolina Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist church, and it was given its present name. It is a part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, the world's second largest Christian school system.The current principal at the academy is Dewald Coetzer.For the 2020-2021 school year, it had an enrollment of 88 students.

The station mostly simulcasts programming from flagship WLFJ-FM in Greenville, South Carolina; which operates translators in nearby Hendersonville, Weaverville and Black Mountain. Clyde A. Erwin High School is a public high school in Asheville, North Carolina, United States. The enrollment in 2018–19 was 1,316 students in grades 9–12. The school's mascot is the Warriors / Lady Warriors and the school principal is Chip Cody.In March 1999, Erwin stopped using "squaw" for its girls' teams because the word was considered offensive, with students selecting "Lady Warriors" in May.

Eliada Home is a national historic district located near Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. The district originally encompassed 10 contributing buildings and 3 contributing sites associated with a youth home complex in suburban Asheville. Of the original 10, only 5 remain. They included the early residential, administrative, and agricultural buildings of the home as well as a residence, a tabernacle site, a log guest cabin, and a cemetery. The primary buildings were the Main Building (built in 1915, but is no longer extant) and the Allred Cottage (1930). The buildings included representative examples of the Colonial Revival, Bungalow, Bungalow/craftsman, and Tudor Revival styles.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.In February 2021, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services ordered Eliada Home to shut down two of its cottages for high-risk teenagers, stating those cottages were "an imminent danger to the health, safety and welfare of the clients and that emergency action is required to protect the clients

Asheville School is a private, coeducational, university-preparatory boarding school in Asheville, North Carolina founded in 1900. The campus sits on 300 acres (120 ha) amid the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains and currently enrolls 295 students in grades nine through twelve. The campus was named by Architectural Digest magazine in 2018 as the most beautiful private school campus in North Carolina. Buncombe County Boys' Training School is a historic school building located near Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built in 1927–1928, and is a two-story, granite and brick main building in the Tudor Revival style. It consists of three principal sections with a two-story, rear ell containing the kitchen and other service areas. The school was permanently closed in 1945, and the building was reopened in 1947 as the new County Home for the Aged. Since 1983, the building has housed an Army National Guard training center. The building was renovated around 2006 and today, houses Buncombe County's Emergency Services and Operations Center It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Lake Ashnoca is a manmade lake in Buncombe County, North Carolina, near Enka. The lake was created by damming the Ragsdale Creek. It has been designated as trout fishing waters by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

The studios and transmitter are on Summerlin Road in Ashville. WWNC is powered at 5,000 watts. By day, it is non-directional. But at night, to protect other stations on 570 AM from interference, it uses a directional antenna with a four-tower array.
