Eaton, Nottinghamshire

Jamia Al-Karam, (Arabic: جامعة الکرم) is an Islamic institution Islamic Studies College located in Eaton in 30-acre premises. The Darul Uloom is managed by Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada.

Gamston is a village and civil parish four miles south of Retford in the English county of Nottinghamshire. The village lies on the A638 road between Retford and the Markham Moor junction with the A1 and the A57 roads. The population of the civil parish as at the 2011 Census was 246. The River Idle lies to the west of the village. St Peter's Church is a Grade I listed building. Gamston was home to a rectory in the past, and today forms the name of a lane in the village.To the east of the village, beyond the East Coast railway line, is Gamston Wood. The ancient parish wood was purchased by the Forestry Commission in 1984 and covers 41 hectares (100 acres). The area has been designated as a Site of Specific Interest.

Retford Gamston Airport (ICAO: EGNE) is a small English airport, located 2 NM (3.7 km; 2.3 mi) south of Retford and close to Gamston, Bassetlaw in Nottinghamshire. It is used mainly for small private aircraft as well as a base for several private flying schools. Two AOC-holders, IAS Medical and Diamond Executive Aviation, are also based on the airfield. Retford (Gamston) Aerodrome has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P783) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Gamston Aviation Limited).

West Drayton is a village and civil parish in the Bassetlaw district in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. It lies 24 miles (39 km) north east of Nottingham and 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Retford. In 2011 the parish had a population of 225. The parish includes the villages of Rockley and Markham Moor. West Drayton was originally known simply as Drayton, and was recorded under that name in the Domesday Book of 1086. "West" was added to distinguish the place from the village of East Drayton, 4 miles east. St Paul's Church dates back to the 12th century, but was rebuilt in 1874. It is a Grade II* listed building.

The River Meden is a river in Nottinghamshire, England. Its source lies just north of Huthwaite, near the Derbyshire border, and from there it flows north east through Pleasley and Warsop before merging temporarily with the River Maun near Bothamsall. The rivers divide after a short distance and go on separately to a point near Markham Moor where they once more combine to form the River Idle. The river was a source of water power for mills in Pleasley Vale from the 1760s until the 1980s. Three huge cotton mills and their associated mill ponds still dominate the Vale. The buildings were bought by Bolsover District Council in 1992, and have become a centre for light industry. On a much smaller scale was the water mill at Warsop, which still retains much of its internal machinery.

The village of Ordsall is attached to the market town of Retford, Nottinghamshire, England, formally known as East Retford. The Bassetlaw ward of the same name had a population of 14,194 at the 2011 census.All Hallows' Church serves the village and is situated beside the River Idle at the south side of Ordsall, an area sometimes referred to as "Old Ordsall". The River Idle, along with the Great Northern Rail Line, divides Ordsall from Retford. Ordsall is served by Ordsall Primary School, which is on Ordsall Road and from the age of 11 school children have the option of going to one of Retford's two secondary schools, Retford Oaks High School or Elizabethen High School. The football team 'Ordsall Rangers' is the village football team.

Retford railway station is on the East Coast Main Line in the United Kingdom, serving the town of Retford, Nottinghamshire. It is 138 miles 49 chains (223.1 km) down the line from London King's Cross and is situated between Newark North Gate and Doncaster on the main line. It has four platforms, two of which serve the main line and the other two, located at a lower level and at right angles to the first pair, serve the Sheffield to Lincoln Line.
