Achel Abbey

Achel Brewery or Brouwerij der Sint-Benedictusabdij de Achelse Kluis was a Belgian Trappist brewery, (the smallest of the Belgian Trappist breweries) until January 2021. It continues to operate as a brewery but is no longer Trappist, as the brewing monks whose presence gave rise to that status have retired. It is located in the Abbey of Saint Benedict in the Belgian municipality of Hamont-Achel. It brews six "Trappist beers" (now described as "Trappist style").

Borkel en Schaft is a former municipality in the Netherlands, consisting of the villages of Borkel and Schaft. It was a separate municipality until 1934. Valkenswaard (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌvɑlkə(n)sˈʋaːrt] (listen)) is a municipality and a town in the southern Netherlands, in the Metropoolregio Eindhoven of the province of North Brabant. The municipality had a population of 30,910 in 2019 and spans an area of 56.50 km2 (21.81 sq mi) of which 1.58 km2 (0.61 sq mi) is water. The name Valkenswaard stems from its history of falconers, who caught wild falcons there; valk is Dutch for "falcon". It lay on a route where falcons migrated south each year. In the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, Valkenswaardian falconers were active at many European courts, in which falconing was a beloved pastime. Valkenswaard's falcon-catching area has now been built over and falcons are no longer caught there. In the 19th and 20th century, a number of large cigar factories were founded in Valkenswaard, the two most renowned of which being Willem II and Hofnar. A Second World War cemetery containing 220 British soldiers was created near Valkenswaard in October 1944. It is now maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The spoken language is Kempenlands (an East Brabantian dialect, which is very similar to colloquial Dutch).The Eurocircuit Valkenswaard is a motorsport racetrack that has hosted the European Rallycross Championship and the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Valkenswaard war cemetery is a Second World War military war grave cemetery, located in the village of Valkenswaard, 12 km (7.5 mi) south of Eindhoven in The Netherlands. It contains British soldiers killed during the Allied push into the Netherlands during the autumn and winter of 1944.216 identified British service personnel are interred in the cemetery and a further four are unidentified.

There are no place name signs. Berg was home to 90 people in 1840. Nowadays, it consists of about 60 houses.Together with neighbouring Toom, the hamlet has 355 inhabitants.

Currently, together with neighbouring Berg, the hamlet has 355 inhabitants. It was first mentioned in 1225 as "tegen die toym", and means burial hill. Toom has no place name signs, and consists of about 70 houses.

De Treeswijkhoeve is a restaurant in Waalre in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 2006–2012. The restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars since 2013.GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 18 out of 20 points in 2014.Head chef of De Treeswijkhoeve is Dick Middelweerd. The restaurant became a member of the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise in 2003.De Treeswijkhoeve is housed in a 1916-built farmhouse, formerly belonging to the Estate Treeswijkhoeve. In 1988, the parents-in-law of Dick Middelweerd, bought the farmhouse and started the restaurant. Middelweerd himself joined the restaurant in 1991, as head chef. Together with his wife Anne-Laura, he bought the restaurant in 2000.

Hamont-Achel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦaːmɔnt ˈɑxəl]; Limburgish: Haëmet-Achel) is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. It was founded in 1977 by a fusion of the city Hamont and the village Achel. On January 1, 2020, Hamont-Achel had a total population of 14.294. The total area is 43.66 km² which gives a population density of 315 inhabitants per km². The municipality houses the Trappist Abbey of Achel, part of which is Brouwerij de Achelse Kluis, one of the 11 Trappist breweries. The professional tennis player Elise Mertens (WTA 35 - 2017) lives in Hamont-Achel.

Leende is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Heeze-Leende, approximately 12 km southeast of Eindhoven.
