Kalvarija is a hill overlooking the city of Maribor in Slovenia. It has an elevation of 375 meters (1,230 ft).

Ribniško Selo (pronounced [ˈɾiːbniʃkɔ ˈsɛːlɔ]; Slovene: Ribniško selo) is a settlement immediately north of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Maribor.There is a small chapel with a belfry at the end of a small valley northeast of the main settlement. Above the door casing the date of construction is given as 1679.

The Urban Municipality of Maribor (pronounced [ˈmaːɾibɔɾ]), also the City of Maribor (Slovene: Mestna občina Maribor, acronym MOM), is one of twelve urban municipalities in Slovenia. Its seat is Maribor, the second-largest city in Slovenia. The population of the municipality was 113,778 in January 2021.

Ljudski vrt (English: People's Garden) is a football stadium in Maribor, the second-largest city of Slovenia. The stadium has a seating capacity of 11,709. It has been the home of NK Maribor since their formation in 1960, with the exception of a short period in early 1961. The stadium was originally the home of several other football teams based in Maribor, including Rapid and Branik. A prominent feature of the stadium is the main grandstand with a concrete arch, which is protected by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia as an architectural and historical landmark. The stadium has four stands: South Stand, East Stand, North Stand, and Marcos Tavares Stand (formerly West Stand). The record attendance of 20,000 was set at a match between Maribor and Proleter in 1973, which was before the ground's conversion to an all-seater stadium in 1998. In addition to being the home of Maribor, the stadium is also occasionally used by the Slovenian men's national football team. Ljudski vrt was also one of the venues of the 2012 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Since its opening in 1952, the stadium has gone through various renovations and reconstructions. In 1994 the stadium received floodlights, and the wooden benches on the grandstand were replaced by plastic seats. In 1999, when Maribor qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stages for the first time, the stadium underwent further renovations and adjustments. However, the biggest renovation took place between 2006 and 2008, when three of the four stands (South, East and North) were demolished and completely rebuilt. The West Stand was renovated between 2020 and 2021.

Mass graves in Maribor were created in Maribor, Slovenia, during and after the Second World War. The three known mass graves in Maribor itself and six additional mass graves in the immediate vicinity include some of the largest mass graves in Europe.

Vinarje (pronounced [ʋiˈnaːɾjɛ]) is a dispersed settlement in the hills north of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Maribor.

The Faculty of Law (Slovene: Pravna fakulteta, PF) in Maribor is a member of the University of Maribor. It was founded in 1960 as a higher law school for education of lawyers in commercial entities. In 1990 it was re-established as a high law school in Maribor with a programme for education of lawyers of universal profile. Since 1993 its official name is Faculty of Law. In 2009 it started with internationally comparable Bologna programmes.

Račji Dvor Mansion (Slovene: dvorec Račji dvor, literally "Ducks' Court Mansion") is a 17th-century mansion standing on a plain at the western edge of the town of Maribor, Slovenia, at the address of Raški dol 1. It has been protected as a cultural monument of national significance.

The Pyramid (Slovene: Piramida) is a low hill (elevation 386 m) in the city of Maribor, Slovenia. It is a popular excursion spot, affording a good view of the city. An ascent takes 15 to 30 minutes.

The Maribor Slovene National Theatre (SNG Maribor) is a theatre in Maribor, northeastern Slovenia. Its performances of drama, opera, and ballet annually attract the country's largest theatrical audiences.

The University of Maribor (Slovene: Univerza v Mariboru) is Slovenia's second-largest university, established in 1975 in Maribor, Slovenia. It currently has 17 faculties.
