Lincoln High School (Tacoma, Washington)

The Lincoln International Business District is a neighborhood in Tacoma, WA, near historic Lincoln High School. Centered on S. 38th St and Yakima, the Lincoln International District is home to the majority of Tacoma's Vietnamese businesses and community centers. According to the City of Tacoma, the district has 755 businesses employing more than 8,200 workers (2008 figures). This district is home to Vietnamese celebrations throughout the year, most notably Tết, the Vietnamese New Year.

The Trang Dai massacre in Tacoma, Washington, occurred on July 5, 1998, when four gunmen entered the Trang Dai Cafe and opened fire, killing five customers and wounding five others. Detectives blamed the violence on warring Asian gangs.

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church is a former Roman Catholic parish in Tacoma, Washington, within the Archdiocese of Seattle. The church is a landmark of the city seen by travelers along Interstate 5. The parish was established in 1891 by Bishop Egidius Junger when he invited Benedictine monks from St. John's Abbey in Minnesota to serve Tacoma's German-speaking population. The parish remained under the pastorship of the Benedictine monks until 1998.The current church building was built in 1920 after the original wooden church was deemed unsafe. In 2018, the church building sustained water damage and sheetrock from the ceiling fell onto the choir loft and back pews. The building was deemed unsafe and masses were moved into the parish school auditorium. As the parish could not afford the $18 million necessary to repair the building, Archbishop J. Peter Sartain decreed in 2019 that the century-old church building be razed. The parish school moved to Fife, Washington, in 2020, as part of the parish's planned merge with St. Martin of Tours Parish. As the future of the parish was deemed unviable, Archbishop Paul D. Etienne ordered all services and ministries of the parish to cease at the end of August 2020.On July 1, 2021, Holy Rosary Parish was amalgamated and merged into neighboring St. Ann Parish.

The Engine House No. 8 in Tacoma, Washington, which has also been known as Fire Station No. 8, was built in 1909. Located at 4301 S. L St., it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.It was designed to be compatible with its residential neighborhood: "The fire station possesses a distinctly domestic scale that seeks to harmonize the building with its residential neighbors. Its blocky mass, together with its flared gable roof, wide eaves and knee braces imitate the form of Craftsman style "chalets" that were a very popular residential type in Tacoma at this time."This station was replaced in 2006 with a larger facility, and is now a private residence.

Fire Station No. 2 is a fire station located at 2701 S Tacoma Avenue in Tacoma, Washington. The Art Deco building was designed by architect Salas E. Nelson and built by Knoell Brothers in 1907. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 2, 1986 as part of the thematic resource, "Historic Fire Stations of Tacoma, Washington".

The East 34th Street Bridge is a concrete open-spandrel bridge in Tacoma, Washington. The bridge was built in 1937 to replace a wood bridge that had previously spanned the gulch. The bridge is constructed of two rib arches, that are supported by 24-foot (7 m) support legs, with spandrel columns between the arches and the bridge's 485-foot (148 m) deck. The concrete railings on the deck are adorned with urn-shaped lampposts.The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

South 25th Street station is a light rail station on the Link's T Line in Tacoma, Washington, United States. The station officially opened for service on August 22, 2003, is located at the edge of downtown, and it serves several area parking garages, allowing commuters to ride for free to nearby destinations.The station consists of a single side platform on the south side of the street, and facilitates transfers to buses on Pacific Avenue. It is located near the Brewery District. Artwork at this station consists mainly of large fishing lures on the roof of the station platform that move in the wind. This is to reflect the fishing lure manufacture that used to take place in the area.

The Engine House No. 4 in Tacoma, Washington, at 220-224 E. 26th St., was built in 1911. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It is a two-story brick building with "classically inspired terra cotta details", and it has a salient four-story hose tower. It was designed by architect Frederic Shaw.It is no longer in service as a fire station. In 2008 it was used by the City of Tacoma's traffic signal division.

Tacoma Dome is an indoor multi-purpose arena in Tacoma, Washington, United States. It is located south of Downtown Tacoma, adjacent to Interstate 5 and Tacoma Dome Station. It is currently used for basketball tournaments by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), concerts, and other community events. In its early years, it was primarily used as a venue for minor league ice hockey and indoor soccer, and later temporarily hosted professional teams from Seattle.

Don Pugnetti Park is a 0.5-acre (0.20 ha) public park in Tacoma, Washington, in the United States. Located at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and South 21st Street in downtown Tacoma, the park is named after Donald A. Pugnetti and is owned by the Washington State Department of Transportation. It has landscaping and seating, and is maintained by the City of Tacoma.The park has been the site of an Occupy Wall Street encampment (2011 to 2012) and other demonstrations. In 2020, protesters gathered there to protest the murder of George Floyd.

Tacoma Dome Station is a train station and transit hub in Tacoma, Washington, United States. It is served by Amtrak trains, the S Line of Sounder commuter rail, the T Line of Link light rail, and buses on local and intercity routes. Located near the Tacoma Dome south of Downtown Tacoma, the station consists of two train platforms used by Sounder and Amtrak trains, a platform for the T Line, a bus terminal, and two parking garages. The Sounder station is integrated into Freighthouse Square, a former Milwaukee Road depot that was converted into a shopping mall, and is on the east side of the Amtrak station. The Tacoma Dome Station complex was constructed and opened in phases from 1997 to 2017. The parking garage and bus terminal were opened in 1997. Sounder service began in September 2000, followed by Tacoma Link (now the T Line) in August 2003, and a permanent platform for Sounder was opened in September 2003. Amtrak service briefly began on December 18, 2017, after the opening of the Point Defiance Bypass, replacing a nearby station. However, after a derailment that day, Amtrak rerouted Cascades and Coast Starlight trains back to the old station until November 18, 2021. By 2035, an extension of the Link light rail system will connect Tacoma Dome Station to Federal Way, Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, and Downtown Seattle.
