Terrington railway station

Terrington St Clement is a village and civil parish in King's Lynn and West Norfolk borough and district in Norfolk, England. It is in the drained marshlands to the south of the Wash, 7 miles (11 km) west of King's Lynn, Norfolk, and 5 miles (8.0 km) east of Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire, on the old route of the A17 trunk road. The parish covers an area of 17.50 square miles (50 km2). Much of the farmland is of alluvial silt and clay which has been reclaimed from the sea amounting to approximately half of the total parish area. Terrington St Clement in area is the largest village in Norfolk, and the second largest in the country.

St Clement's High School is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in the village of Terrington St Clement, in the English county of Norfolk.

It covers an area of 11.56 km2 (4.46 sq mi) and had a population of 563 in 230 households at the 2001 census, increasing to 573 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. The villages name origin is uncertain. 'Useful island' or 'Tila's island'.

St Mary's Church is a ruined redundant Anglican church in the civil parish of Tilney St Lawrence, Norfolk, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The ruins stand in an isolated position adjacent to Islington Hall Farm, immediately to the south of the A47 road between King's Lynn and Wisbech.

Islington Heronry is a 1.3-hectare (3.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-west of King's Lynn Norfolk.This stand of mature oaks has the largest breeding colony of grey herons in the county, with about eighty nests occupied each year. There are several other populations of woodland birds, such as the great spotted woodpecker.The site is private land with no public access.

Walpole railway station was a station in Norfolk. It is now disused. First opened in 1866, it was part of the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway line between the Midlands and the Norfolk coast. It took its name from the cluster of villages surrounding Walpole Hall, being nearest to Walpole Cross Keys. It was located very close to the Lincolnshire border. It closed along with the rest of the line in 1959.

The nearest town is Wisbech which is 8.3 miles (13.4 km) west-south-west of the village. The village lies to the south of the route of the A47 between Peterborough and Kings Lynn. The parish of Tilney St Lawrence in the 2001 census had a population of 1,465, increasing to 1,576 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk.

It covers an area of 4.03 km2 (1.56 sq mi) and had a population of 469 in 182 households at the 2001 census, the population increasing to 518 at the 2011 census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. Walpole Cross Keys' Primary School received a 'good' rating from Ofsted following a short inspection in 2019. Walpole railway station, closed in 1959, was within the parish.

For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. The Church of St John is a Grade I listed building.

St Mary the Virgin's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the civil parish of Wiggenhall St Germans, Norfolk, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands at the end of a lane to the north of the village of Wiggenhall St Mary the Virgin, some 5 miles (8 km) south of King's Lynn. It is notable particularly for the quality of carving of its wooden fittings.
