Whitmoor Common

Stringer's Common is a 30-hectare (74-acre) nature reserve east of Worplesdon in Surrey. It is owned by Surrey County Council and managed by the Surrey Wildlife Trust.This is one of eight commons in the parish of Worplesdon near Guildford. It was formerly used for grazing, but it is now mainly mixed woodland with some heath and grassland.There is public access to the site.

Cycling UK is a trading name of the Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC), which is a charitable membership organisation supporting cyclists and promoting bicycle use. Cycling UK is registered at Companies House as "Cyclists’ Touring Club", and is covered by company law. It works at a national and local level to lobby for cyclists' needs and wants, provides services to members, and organises local groups for local activism and those interested in recreational cycling. The original Cyclists' Touring Club began in the nineteenth century with a focus on amateur road cycling but these days has a much broader sphere of interest encompassing everyday transport, commuting and many forms of recreational cycling. Prior to April 2016, the organisation operated under the brand "CTC, the national cycling charity". As of February 2020, the organisation's president is the newsreader Jon Snow.

Chitty's Common is a 5-hectare (12-acre) nature reserve in Guildford in Surrey. It is owned by Surrey County Council and managed by the Surrey Wildlife Trust.This urban common has wet and dry woodland, grassland, ponds and ditches. There are large amounts of dead wood which provide a habitat for invertebrates such as stag beetles. The grassland has many butterflies such as commas, red admirals and peacocks.There is access from Keens Lane and Rydes Hill Road.

Worplesdon Place Hotel near Guildford, Surrey is a house of historical significance. It appears to have been built in about 1845 by Sir William Bovill. It was a private residence for the next 100 years and was owned by several notable people. In the 1950s it became a hotel and still operates in this manner today. The hotel provides accommodation and restaurant facilities and caters for special events particularly weddings.

Worplesdon railway station is a railway station in the Woking district of Surrey, England. The station is located between Woking and Guildford stations on the Portsmouth Direct Line, 26 miles 55 chains (42.9 km) down the line from London Waterloo. The station opened in 1883, surrounded by open heath and farmland. Some nearby land has subsequently been developed and the station is currently situated in an area of affluent low-density housing. The nearest village to the station is Mayford, located approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) north-northeast of the station. Despite its name, the station is not located in Worplesdon village, which is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the southwest.

Smart's and Prey Heaths is a 39-hectare (96-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-west of Woking in Surrey.These mainly damp heaths are dominated by ling, cross-leaved heath and purple moor-grass. Other plants include creeping willow, dwarf gorse, oblong-leaved sundew, deergrass and round-leaved sundew.The heaths are crossed by footpaths.

Christ's College is a grade 11 to 16 Church of England secondary school that serves the Bellfields neighbourhood of Guildford, Surrey, and England. The school was previously called Larch Avenue School but renamed to Bishop Reindorp School and has been called this since 2003. Previously a voluntary aided school administered by Surrey County Council, in December 2015 Christ's College converted to academy status and joined the Good Shepherd Trust. The Good Shepherd Trust is a family of 16 churches and community schools within the Diocese of Guildford. The College continues to coordinate with Surrey County Council for admissions. The main intake of students is from the area surrounding the school, but the school attracts students from as far as Woking and Ash.

Worplesdon is a village 3.1 miles (5.0 km) NNW of Guildford in Surrey, England and a large dispersed civil parish that includes the settlements of: Worplesdon itself (including its central church area, Perry Hill), Fairlands, Jacobs Well, Rydeshill and Wood Street Village, all various-sized smaller settlements, well-connected by footpaths and local roads. Its area includes Whitmoor Common, which can be a collective term for all of its commons.

Jacobs Well or Jacobswell is a small village in Surrey, England, of 20th century creation, with a population of 1,171. The village forms a northern outskirt of Guildford, in the civil parish of Worplesdon which can be considered the mother village of medieval date to the west. The Stoke Hill part of Stringers Common, Slyfield Industrial Estate and a Surrey County Council general waste transfer station to the south form the narrowest of its buffer zones to all sides, separating the Slyfield part of Guildford from the village. Between Jacobs Well and Burpham to the south-east and east lie the River Wey, Burpham Court Farm Park, the River Wey Navigation, and the A3, in that order. Other nearby settlements include Sutton Green (beyond which is Old Woking) to the NNE.

Woking is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2010 by Jonathan Lord, a Conservative. Since it was first created for the 1950 general election, it has only ever returned Conservative Party candidates.
