Roveredo in Piano (locally Lavoréit; Western Friulian: Lavorêt) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pordenone in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 100 kilometres (62 miles) northwest of Trieste and about 6 km (4 mi) northwest of Pordenone. Roveredo in Piano borders the following municipalities: Aviano, Fontanafredda, Porcia, Pordenone, San Quirino.

Aviano Middle/High School (previously Aviano American High School) is a Department of Defense Education Activity secondary school located on the Italian owned NATO Air Base in Aviano, Italy which hosts the 31st Fighter Wing. The majority of students are dependents of active duty military personnel, DoD employees, contractors and diplomats, although a small percentage are children of other English speaking expatriates or local Italian residents. As of the 2008–2009 school year Aviano Middle School and Aviano High School were joined into one school serving grades 6-12. It is classified as a Division II school in DoDDS Europe. The school's mascot is the saint.

Piancavallo (Friulian: Plancjaval) is a ski resort in the Dolomites of northern Italy. It is a frazione of the comune of Aviano, in the province of Pordenone in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Piancavallo is situated at 1,280 metres (4,199 ft) above sea level, at the foot of Monte Cavallo (2,251 m (7,385 ft)). The nearest railway station is that of Aviano, to which it is connected by regular bus services.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,311 and an area of 37.7 square kilometres (14.6 sq mi).The municipality of Budoia comprises the frazioni (boroughs) of Dardago and Santa Lucia. Budoia borders the following municipalities: Aviano, Fontanafredda, Polcenigo, Tambre.

Fontanafredda (Standard Friulian: Fontanefrede; Western Friulian: Fontanafredha; Venetian: Fontanafreda) is a comune (municipality) of about 12,000 inhabitants in Province of Pordenone, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, north-eastern Italy. The town hall is located in the frazione of Vigonovo.

Alpi Aviation srl (English: Alps Aviation Limited) is an Italian aircraft manufacturer based in Pordenone. The company specializes in the design and manufacture of light aircraft in the form of kits for amateur construction and ready-to-fly aircraft in the European Fédération Aéronautique Internationale microlight category.The company produces a range of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, both manned and unmanned. These include the Alpi Pioneer 200 and 230, the 300, the aerobatic 330 microlights and the four seat 400 kit aircraft. The 200 and 300 series are built from a combination of wood and composites. The company also manufactures the Syton AH 130 turbine-powered helicopter which is derived from the Rotorway Exec. Alpi also markets the Alpi Strix-C fixed-wing mini unmanned aerial vehicle and the Alpi Sixton-A rotary-wing micro unmanned aerial vehicle.

San Quirino (Friulian: San Quarìn) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pordenone in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 8 kilometres (5 mi) northeast of Pordenone. San Quirino borders the following municipalities: Aviano, Cordenons, Maniago, Montereale Valcellina, Pordenone, Roveredo in Piano, Vivaro.

Pordenone railway station (Italian: Stazione di Pordenone) serves the city and comune of Pordenone, in the autonomous region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northeastern Italy. Opened in 1855, the station is located on the Venice–Udine railway. Although it is not a junction or terminal station, it is used by a great many passengers. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Train services to and from the station are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company.
