The Vanil Noir (French: [vanil nwaʁ]; local Arpitan: Vani Né [vaˈni ˈne] ) is a mountain of the Fribourg Prealps, located on the border between the cantons of Fribourg and Vaud in western Switzerland. Reaching a height of 2,389 metres above sea level, the Vanil Noir is the highest summit of the canton of Fribourg and of the Alpine foothills lying north of the Saane and Simme (or northwest of the Saanenmöser Pass). It is also the northernmost point in the canton of Vaud above 2,300 metres and the most prominent summit of both cantons. The Vanil Noir is the culminating point of the range separating the regions of Gruyère and Pays-d'Enhaut, although it is followed by the almost equally high Vanil de l'Ecri and Pointe de Paray. With these two mountains, it forms a large cirque on the south and east side, overlooking the alp of Paray Doréna. On the west side, it consists of a smaller cirque, overlooking the alp of Bounavau. On the northeast side it overlooks the valley of Les Morteys. All three valleys descending from the Vanil Noir are part of the Saane drainage basin. The closest localities are Grandvillard (Fribourg) and Château d'Oex (Vaud). Several vertiginous trails lead to the summit, and cross it from north to south. The Vanil Noir is part of a nature reserve since 1983.

The Dent de Folliéran (2,340 m) is a mountain of the Fribourg Alps, located south of Charmey in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. It lies on the chain connecting the Vanil Noir to the Dent de Brenleire. It is one of the five summits above 2,300 metres in the canton, the other being the Vanil Noir, the Vanil de L'Ecri, the Pointe de Paray and the Dent de Brenleire.

Dent de Brenleire

The Dent de Brenleire (French pronunciation: [dɑ̃ d(ə) bʁɑ̃lɛːʁ]; lit. 'Tooth of Branleire') is a mountain of the Fribourg Alps, located south of Charmey in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. It has an elevation of 2,354 metres above sea level and is amongst the highest summits in the canton of Fribourg, after the Vanil Noir, the Vanil de l'Ecri and the Pointe de Paray. It is also the highest mountain entirely within the canton. The summit of the Dent de Brenleire is accessible by a trail running on the east side of the mountain, from the Gros Mont.

The Dent du Bourgo (1,909 m) is a mountain of the Swiss Prealps, located east of Gruyères in the canton of Fribourg. It lies on the range north of the Vanil Noir, between the valleys of the Sarine and the Motélon.

Gros Mont

Gros Mont is an alp and mountain pass of the Swiss Alps, located south of Charmey in the canton of Fribourg. The alp lies at the upper end of the Vallée du Gros Mont, just north of a 1,404 metre high pass connecting Charmey with Rougemont (in the canton of Vaud). This mountain pass, on the watershed between the Jogne and the upper Sarine, is the lowest point between the massifs of the Vanil Noir and the Gastlosen.

Dent de Combette

The Dent de Combette (2,082 m) is a mountain of the western Bernese Alps, located north of Rougemont in the Swiss canton of Vaud. It lies south of the border with the canton of Fribourg, on the chain culminating at the Dent de Savigny. A secondary summit on the south side of the mountain (2,026 m) is named Rochers des Rayes.

The Dent de Broc (1,829 m) is a mountain of the Swiss Prealps, overlooking Broc and the Lake of Gruyère in the canton of Fribourg. It lies on the range north of the Vanil Noir, between the valleys of the Sarine and the Motélon. From the Col des Combes (1,668 m), a trail leads to its summit.

Enney railway station

Enney railway station (French: Gare d'Enney) is located in the municipality of Bas-Intyamon, within the Swiss canton of Fribourg. This station serves as an intermediate stop on the Palézieux–Bulle–Montbovon railway line operated by Transports publics Fribourgeois. The station is situated along a single-line track and features one side platform, accommodating passenger boarding. Located 26.7 kilometers from Châtel-St-Denis, Enney station is within zone 21 of the frimobil fare network. The station offers parking with six available spaces and is accessible for individuals with disabilities. Opened on 23 July 1903, Enney continues to serve the S50 line of the RER Fribourg network, with neighboring stops at Gruyères to the west and Villars-sous-Mont to the east.

Lac de Montsalvens

Lac de Montsalvens is a reservoir in the Canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. The reservoir has a capacity of 12.6 million m³ and a surface area of 0.74 km2 (0.29 sq mi). It was built on the Jogne river, before the gorges, and below the road to Jaun Pass, between the villages of Broc and Charmey.The Grand Council of the canton of Fribourg decided construction of the dam on 17/18 May 1918. Designed by Alfred Stucky, the construction was completed by 1920 and in 1921 the reservoir filled for the first time. Thanks to a forced conduct, electricity is produced at the Electrobroc power plant, located at Broc near the Cailler factory.
