Estadio Insular was a multi-use stadium in Las Palmas, Spain. It was initially used as the stadium of UD Las Palmas matches before Estadio Gran Canaria opened in 2003. The stadium held 21,000 people and was built in 1945. Estadio Insular was closed in 2003 and partially demolished in 2014.

Radio ECCA is a multifaceted educational radio station which began as a training center in adult literacy on the Spanish Gran Canary Island in 1967.

The Playa de Las Canteras (Las Canteras beach; 'Beach of the Quarries') is the main urban beach of the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Gran Canaria, Canary Islands), one of the most important beaches of the Canary Islands. Las Canteras has an Environmental Management System certified according to the UNE-EN ISO 14001 norm and a Universal Accessibility Certificate for bathing services for people with reduced mobility, certified by the same organization. Playa de Las Canteras has just hoisted the Q for Tourism Quality flag and has been awarded the European Union Blue Flag, the ISO Environmental Management Certificate and the Universal Accessibility Certificate, making it one of the most highly valued beaches in Spain.The awards "Travellers' Choice Playas 2013" places Las Canteras in the number 10 position in Spain, after a study that has recognized the quality of 276 beaches located in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Middle East and US, among which is Playa de Cofete, in Fuerteventura, in the number 6 position, and headed by the Playa de Las Catedrales in Ribadeo. The name of the beach has always been linked to "La Barra" (The Bar), a sedimentary rock of sandstone and calcareous depositions that runs parallel to the shore, providing shelter from the north swell and giving it a personality of its own. Formerly it was known as "Playa del Arrecife" (Reef Beach), because La Barra emerged from the water like a reef. Later, it was exploited as a quarry (Spanish: cantera) to extract the rock that was used, among other uses, for numerous constructions in the city, such as the Cathedral of the Canary Islands. In memory of this practice, now abandoned, the name of Playa de Las Canteras (Beach of the Quarries) survives today.

The Poema del Mar is an aquarium located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. It was inaugurated on December 17, 2017. The Gran Canaria Town Council and the Government of the Canary Islands have considered it of strategic interest to the region by reinforcing the promotion of the archipelago as an international travel destination. It is owned by the Loro Parque Group.

Woermann Tower also Torre Woermann is a mixed-use tower in Las Palmas on Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain. Completed in 2005, the tower was designed by Abalos & Herreros in collaboration with Joaquin Casariego and Elsa Guerra, and built by Ferrovial Inmobiliaria, the company also built around the same time one of the two Torres de Santa Cruz, in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Woermann Tower forms part of a complex which includes a public square, constructed using Portuguese stone with the artist Albert Oehlen, and a seven-storey block to the south, containing retail units and offices.The ground floor contains a main entrance area and retail units whilst the first floor contains a library. The floors above contain apartments, usually four or five per floor. The floor slabs are separated by 3.6 m (12 ft), offering views over the Atlantic Ocean through the 2,000 m2 (21,528 sq ft) glass facade. The facade is protected from the sun by solar fins running horizontally around the building, with vegetable motifs etched into the glass. Yellow colour inserts were placed in the windows in strategic locations on the facade.

Centro Insular de Deportes is an indoor arena in Las Palmas, Spain. It was the home arena of the Spanish ACB League professional basketball team Gran Canaria until 2014. The arena holds 5,200 people.

The Palacete Rodríguez Quegles is a mansion, or small palace, in Las Palmas, capital of Gran Canaria island, in the Canary Islands of Spain. It was built around 1901 as an elaborate residence for a wealthy businessman, then in 1972 sold to the city of Las Palmas for use as a music conservatory. The restored building is now a cultural center.

Port of Las Palmas (also called La Luz Port) (Spanish: Puerto de Las Palmas or Puerto de La Luz) is port for fishing, commercial, passenger and sports boats in the city of Las Palmas in the north-east of Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain. For five centuries, the Port of Las Palmas has been the traditional base for scale and supplying ships on their way through the Middle Atlantic.

Las Palmas Atlético is the reserve team of UD Las Palmas, club based in Las Palmas, in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands. They play in Tercera Federación – Group 12, holding home games at Anexo del Estadio Gran Canaria, which holds 2,000 spectators.The team is officially known as Las Palmas Atlético on the club's official promotion and website, but the rules of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional prohibit B teams from having different names to their parent.
