Heatherton is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 19 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Kingston local government area. Heatherton recorded a population of 2,826 at the 2021 census.The suburb has a low population for a metropolitan suburb. It is predominantly open space: market garden, golf courses (the Kingston Heath Golf Club and the Capital Golf Club) and the large Karkarook Park.

The Commonwealth Golf Club is a golf club in Oakleigh South, Victoria, Australia. It has hosted many events over the years, notably the Australian Open, Women's Australian Open and Victorian Open.

The Yarra Yarra Golf Club is a private golf club in Australia, located in Victoria at Bentleigh East, a suburb southeast of Melbourne. It is one of the eight Melbourne Sandbelt championship courses and is renowned for its par-3s. It has hosted the Women's Australian Open seven times as well as several editions of the Victorian Open. The club was formed in 1898 and the current course opened 94 years ago in 1929; it is named for the Yarra River. In the 1970s the club professional was Geoff Parslow. In 1977 he won the Victorian Open when it was held at Yarra Yarra. His surprise victory garnered much media attention; he defeated some of the world's best, including Greg Norman and Johnny Miller.

The Division of Hotham is an Australian Electoral Division in Victoria. It is located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Hotham covers an area of approximately 83 square kilometres from Oakleigh in the north to Dingley Village in the south. The division includes the suburbs of Bentleigh East, Clarinda, Clayton, Clayton South, Coatesville, Huntingdale, Mulgrave, Notting Hill, Oakleigh, Oakleigh East, Oakleigh South, Waverley Park, Westall, and Wheelers Hill in their entirety; as well as parts of Bentleigh, Chadstone, Glen Waverley, Heatherton, McKinnon, Mount Waverley, Ormond, Springvale, Springvale South and Syndal.

The 2016 World Cup of Golf (known as the 2016 ISPS Handa World Cup of Golf for sponsorship reasons) was a golf tournament played from 24–27 November at Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia. It was the 58th World Cup. Twenty-eight countries competed as two-player teams. The format was 72-hole stroke play; the first and third days were alternate shot, and the second and fourth days were four-ball play. The tournament was won by Denmark by four shots.

Cheltenham Secondary College is a co-educational high school in Cheltenham, Victoria, Australia, catering for students in years 7 to 12. The school officially opened in 1959 as 'Cheltenham High School', and then later changed its name to Cheltenham Secondary College. The school is most famous for its Windsor-Cheltenham Exchange. The exchange in its 55th year is participated by Avenues College in Adelaide and Cheltenham where a range of sports and other activities are played out over a week to see who will win the Exchange Shield, Captains Plate and Exchange Cup.

St Bede's College, Bentleigh East (formerly St James College) is a campus of St Bede's College that caters for years 7–10, located in Bentleigh East, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The campus has around 470 students, and is administered by the De La Salle Brothers, a teaching order of Christian Brothers. The campus director as of 2012 is Stephen Pooley. At the beginning of 2021, St James College was amalgamated into St Bede's College in Mentone, operating as a second campus of that college.

Aboriginal Gallery of Dreamings (AGOD) is an art gallery in Cheltenham, Melbourne, Australia, owned and run by art collector Hank Ebes. Founded in 1990, it was one of the first galleries in Melbourne to be devoted entirely to Aboriginal art.

Moorabbin is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 15 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Kingston local government area. Moorabbin recorded a population of 6,287 at the 2021 census.Most of the eastern side of Moorabbin has been an industrial area since the first development in the mid-1960s. Major businesses with a presence in the area include Coca-Cola. Moorabbin is also well known locally for its residential area built after World War II.
