Bodenwerder

Bodenwerder-Polle is a Samtgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district of Holzminden, in Lower Saxony, Germany. Its seat is in the town Bodenwerder. It was formed on 1 January 2010 by the merger of the former Samtgemeinden Bodenwerder and Polle. The Samtgemeinde Bodenwerder-Polle consists of the following municipalities: Bodenwerder Brevörde Halle Hehlen Heinsen Heyen Kirchbrak Ottenstein Pegestorf Polle Vahlbruch

On 1 January 2010, it merged with the former Samtgemeinde Polle to form the new Samtgemeinde Bodenwerder-Polle. The Weser Uplands (German: Weserbergland, German pronunciation: [ˈveːzɐˌbɛʁklant]) is a hill region in Germany, between Hannoversch Münden and Porta Westfalica, along the river Weser. The area reaches into three states, Lower Saxony, Hesse, and North Rhine-Westphalia. Important towns of this region include Bad Karlshafen, Holzminden, Höxter, Bodenwerder, Hameln, Rinteln, and Vlotho. The tales of the Brothers Grimm are set in the Weser Uplands, and it has many renaissance buildings, exhibiting a peculiar regional style, the Weser Renaissance style. The region roughly coincides with the natural region of the Lower Saxon Hills defined by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN).

Lenne is river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is a 24 km (15 mi) long, right-hand, eastern tributary of the river Weser in the district of Holzminden in the Weser Uplands.

Spüligbach is a river of Lower Saxony, Germany. The Spüligbach springs southeast of Bremke, a district of Halle. It is a right tributary of the Lenne at Linse, a district of Bodenwerder.

The Vogler is a range of hills, up to 460.4 m high, in the Weser Uplands in southern Lower Saxony (Germany). Together with the Solling, the Vogler forms the Solling-Vogler Nature Park which lies a couple of kilometres further south.

At 460 metres (1,510 ft) above sea level the Ebersnacken is the highest hill in the forested uplands of the Vogler in Lower Saxony, Germany. The hill is situated in the district of Holzminden about half way as the crow flies between Bodenwerder to the northwest and Stadtoldendorf to the southeast. On the summit, which is surrounded by the northern part of the Solling-Vogler Nature Park, stands an observation tower, the Ebersnacken Tower (Ebersnackenturm), from which there is not only a good all-round view of the surrounding Weser Uplands, but also a view eastwards as far as the Harz mountains. At the foot of the tower is a barbecue hut. No roads lead to the Ebersnacken; it can only be reached on footpaths, for example from the Holenberg to the southeast.
