Lattingtown Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at Lattingtown, Ulster County, New York. The meeting house form building was built about 1810 during the Federal period. It is a two-story, heavy timber-frame structure with queen post and purlin roof framing. It was extensively renovated during the 19th century to add an eclectic blend of Gothic and picturesque-inspired elements. Also on the property is the church cemetery, with burials dating to 1817; privy; and stone walls.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

WVKR-FM (Independent Radio) is a college radio station owned by and primarily staffed by students of Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. The station broadcasts on 91.3 MHz at 3,700 watts ERP from a tower in Milton, New York with a directional signal to the south. The station also streams on the web.

The Marlboro Mountains, sometimes Marlborough Mountains, are a group of hogbacked mountains arranged in a 25-mile-long (40 km) ridge extending from Newburgh, New York, to just south of Kingston, New York. Considered to be part of the Ridge and Valley Appalachians, the mountains, which reach elevations over 1,100 feet, form an imposing geologic barrier just west of the Hudson River. They subdivide the relatively flat Hudson River Valley (a section of the Great Appalachian Valley) to create the Wallkill Valley further west. Rising abruptly on their eastern flanks, the Marlboro Mountains are known for their sweeping views of the region.

Marlboro Mountain is a mountain which is the peak of the Marlboro Mountains. Located in the state of New York west of Poughkeepsie. Illinois Mountain is located north of Marlboro Mountain.

Hemlock Ridge Multiple Use Area is an 80-acre (32 ha) state forest in New York, USA. It is located in the town of Plattekill in southern Ulster County. The forest covers a hilly area on the western flank of Marlboro Mountain, the namesake ridge of the Marlboro Mountains range. Designated as a multiple use area under New York's forest management scheme, Hemlock Ridge offers a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, hunting, cross country skiing, and possibly camping (with permission). These uses are in addition to conservation efforts such as protection of sensitive environments. Trails in Hemlock Ridge are un-blazed former logging roads and hunting paths. These trails cross terrain consisting of sandstone/quartzite ridges separated by short stretches of sometimes boggy valleys. True to the forest's name, Eastern Hemlock (Tsuga canadensis) is relatively abundant, particularly along the slopes of the ridges. As of 2008, 28 acres (11 ha) of land had been added to the forest's original 52 acres (21 ha), the new acquisition including a wetland area.Access to the Hemlock Ridge Multiple Use Area is possible from a parking lot adjacent to Lewis Road, a short distance from the Milton Turnpike (Ulster County Route 10).

Marlborough is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States, in the southeastern corner of the county. The population was 8,712 at the 2020 census. U.S. Route 9W passes through the eastern part of the town. US Route 44 and NY 55 cross the northwestern corner of the town. The town was named after the Duke of Marlborough.

The station broadcasts at 330 watts ERP from a tower near Illinois Mountain in Marlborough, New York shared with sister station WBWZ. The station is owned and operated by iHeartMedia, Inc. Its studios are in Arlington, New York.

Clintondale is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 1,938 at the 2020 census. Clintondale is located at the northern town line of the Town of Plattekill. The community is on US Route 44 and NY 55 at the junction of County Route 22.

Brown–Ellis House, also known as the Amos Brown House and Baker House, is a historic home located at Highland, Ulster County, New York. The house was originally built about 1800, and expanded and renovated in the Greek Revival style about 1835. It consists of a 1+1⁄2-story main block with a wing. It is of timber-frame construction and has gable roofs on both sections. A full width Colonial Revival style front porch was added about 1910.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
