WVKR-FM (Independent Radio) is a college radio station owned by and primarily staffed by students of Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. The station broadcasts on 91.3 MHz at 3,700 watts ERP from a tower in Milton, New York with a directional signal to the south. The station also streams on the web.

Lattingtown Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at Lattingtown, Ulster County, New York. The meeting house form building was built about 1810 during the Federal period. It is a two-story, heavy timber-frame structure with queen post and purlin roof framing. It was extensively renovated during the 19th century to add an eclectic blend of Gothic and picturesque-inspired elements. Also on the property is the church cemetery, with burials dating to 1817; privy; and stone walls.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Considered to be part of the Ridge and Valley Appalachians, the mountains, which reach elevations over 1,100 feet, form an imposing geologic barrier just west of the Hudson River. They subdivide the relatively flat Hudson River Valley (a section of the Great Appalachian Valley) to create the Wallkill Valley further west. Rising abruptly on their eastern flanks, the Marlboro Mountains are known for their sweeping views of the region.

Marlboro High School (MHS) is the Marlboro Central School District's high school located in Marlboro, New York, United States.Marlboro High School is a comprehensive, four-year institution for students in Grades 9-12. It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools. The curriculum consists of honor courses, college preparatory and occupationally related programs. The school also has a cooperative college bridge program with Ulster County Community College in the areas of English, history, government, economics, science, psychology, sociology, mathematics, and Spanish.As of the 2014-15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 624 students and 42.7 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.6:1. There were 115 students (18.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 48 (7.7% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Cosman Family Cemetery is a historic family cemetery located near Middle Hope, New York, which is near Newburgh in Orange County, New York. The cemetery is the last feature remaining from the Cosman farmstead established in the mid-18th century. It contains approximately 50 graves dating from about 1801 to 1930.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The Dubois-Sarles Octagon is an octagon house located on South Street in Marlboro, New York, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. As of 2018 it was only one of 15 eight-sided houses left in New York State.First built around 1850 by Hudson Dubois and his family, it was renovated in 1872 by Alton and Helen Sarles. As a result, it reflects two different architectural styles: Italianate and Second Empire. Unlike most other American octagon houses of the period, its interior follows a sidehall plan, rather than the radial center plan advocated by Orson Squire Fowler.
