Ogbourne St George is a village and civil parish on the River Og about 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.

Ogbourne Priory was a priory in Wiltshire, England, from the 12th century until the early 15th. There may have been a priory building in the 13th century, perhaps attached to the manor house at either Ogbourne St Andrew or Ogbourne St George; both manors belonged to the Benedictine order of Bec Abbey, Normandy. Later the priory existed only as a legal name for the administration of the Bec estates in England. The last Prior of Ogbourne, William de St. Vaast, died in 1404 or 1405 and the properties were dispersed.

Ogbourne St Andrew is a civil parish and small village in Wiltshire, England, 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Marlborough. The parish is on the banks of the River Og and includes the hamlets of Ogbourne Maizey and Rockley.

Woodsend is a hamlet in the civil parish of Aldbourne in Wiltshire, England. Its nearest town is Marlborough, which is approximately 4.5 miles (7.2 km) south-west from the hamlet. Woodsend had a population of 84 in 1851 but decreased in size in the early 20th century. A Wesleyan Methodist chapel was built around 1845 and closed in 1913. A National school for about 20 pupils was opened in 1855 and closed before 1913.

The Battle of Aldbourne Chase was a relatively small battle of the First English Civil War that occurred on 18 September 1643. In the skirmish the Royalist cavalry led by Prince Rupert attacked the extended columns of the Parliamentarian army of the Earl of Essex at Aldbourne Chase, Wiltshire, as he was attempting to get his army to London.The battle in and of itself was inconclusive, but it allowed the Royalists to get to Newbury ahead of Essex and ultimately forced the Parliamentarian army into a major confrontation.

Snap is an abandoned village near Aldbourne in Wiltshire, England. It is unusual in that it was not abandoned until the 20th century. The village was recorded in 1268 under the name of Snape. It was always a small place: in the 14th century there were 19 poll-tax payers, in 1773 there were between five and ten cottages, and at the 1851 Census the population was 41. In 1905, Henry Wilson, a butcher from Ramsbury, bought the two farms in the village and converted them from arable to sheep farming, which deprived the villagers of their work. By 1909 there were only two residents, and by 1914 the village was deserted. Most of the buildings were destroyed when the site was used for military training in the First World War, and were later plundered for building materials; only earthworks are now visible. The name is remembered in Snap Farm. The site lies near the Ridgeway National Trail.

Chiseldon Camp Halt was a small railway station on the Midland and South Western Junction Railway line, south of Swindon in Wiltshire, England.

Ogbourne Maizey is a hamlet in Wiltshire, England 1.6 miles (2.6 km) north of the town of Marlborough and 0.4 miles (0.64 km) south of the village of Ogbourne St. Andrew. The hamlet is in the civil parish of Ogbourne St. Andrew, on the banks of the River Og. A map of 1773 shows an almost continuous ribbon of buildings along the river between Ogbourne Maizey and Ogbourne St. Andrew. Today the hamlet consists of commuter housing and racehorse stables on the narrow road that leads over the downs to Rockley. Local primary-level children usually go to the school in Ogbourne St. George or to Marlborough. The hamlet has no church but is part of the Ridgeway Benefice that also includes Rockley, Ogbourne St. Andrew, Ogbourne St. George and Chiseldon. The 10,894 square feet (1,012.1 m2) Ogbourne Maisey House dates from the 16th century and is Grade II* listed.

Ridgeway View is a hamlet 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the village of Chiseldon near Swindon, situated in the county of Wiltshire, England. During World War I a large hutted army camp was built to the east of Draycot Foliat; from 1930 there was a small station on the Swindon to Marlborough line, called Chiseldon Camp Halt. In World War II the area housed British and American troops, and around 1963, after the army left, the married quarters became residential housing, later named Ridgeway View.Ridgeway View falls within the civil parish of Chiseldon. Leicester Tigers and England winger Jonny May was born, and grew up in, Ridgeway View.

Draycot Foliat is a hamlet in Wiltshire, England, on the back road between Chiseldon to the north and Ogbourne St. George to the south. The nearest major town is Swindon which is about 5 miles (8 km) north. A notable feature is the small airstrip with its model helicopter instruction centre. There is one smallholding, called Draycot Farm, and a larger farm, Sheppard's Farm, which comprises some 750 acres (300 hectares). Attached to Sheppard's farm is a small set of industrial buildings, most notably the Intellectual Property Law offices of Berry Davies LLP. In addition there are between ten and twenty other houses. The Og, a tributary of the River Kennet (itself a tributary of the Thames), flows for about half of the year down the centre of the hamlet, forcing the road into a sharp hairpin bend.

Upper Upham is a hamlet and deserted medieval village in the civil parish of Aldbourne in the English county of Wiltshire. Its nearest town is Marlborough, which lies approximately 5.6 miles (9.0 km) to the south-west; the hamlet is reached by a narrow lane off the B4192 Aldbourne-Swindon road. To the northwest of the hamlet are extensive remains of a medieval village, with a hollow way, house platforms and evidence of agriculture. The settlement is first documented as Upammere in a charter of 955, and by 1201 its name had become Upham. There were 40 taxpayers in 1377 but the population dwindled in the 15th and 16th centuries.The manor was held by Lacock Abbey from around 1249 until the Dissolution. In 1540 it was purchased by John Goddard (died 1557), and remained in the Goddard family until sometime before the early 18th century. Aldbourne parish church has a memorial brass dated 1495 to an earlier Richard Goddard of Upham and his wife, and the church tower was erected in 1460 by either the same person or another of the same name.Lower Upham is further west and has a farm and a pair of cottages; the lane between the two Uphams is now a farm track.

Mildenhall ( MY-nəl) is a village and civil parish in the Kennet Valley in Wiltshire, England, immediately east of the market town of Marlborough. The village is about 1.5 miles (2 km) east of the centre of Marlborough, on the minor road which follows the River Kennet towards Ramsbury. The parish also contains the hamlets of Poulton and Stitchcombe. The name has often been written as Minal, and this is continued in the present-day pronunciation.
