Levashovo Memorial Cemetery (Russian: Левашовское мемориальное кладбище) commemorates the victims of political repression between 1937 and 1954: some were shot, others died in the city's prisons, all were buried here in unmarked graves. Archival evidence suggests that 19,540 bodies lie here, 8,000 of whom were shot or died during the Great Terror. The cemetery is located near the rail station at Levashovo, Saint Petersburg, in an empty area referred to in Russian as the Levashovskaya Pustosh (Russian: Левашовская пустошь), the Levashovo Wasteland. Bodies dating back to the Terror were first found there in spring 1989 by a Memorial (society) exploration group led by V.T. Muravsky. The FSB, successor to the NKVD and KGB, finally handed the area over to the city council in 1990.

Levashovo (also Levashevo) is an air base located to the southwest of Levashovo, within the northern limits of the federal subject of Saint Petersburg, Russia. The base is home to the 33rd Independent Composite Aviation Regiment.It houses mostly small transport planes mostly belonging to 549 AB (549th Air Base), most notably the Antonov An-12, Antonov An-26, and Tupolev Tu-134, along with Mi-6 and Mi-8 helicopters. The 549th Air Base has seen many redesignations since being activated in 1942 as the 6th independent Transport Aviation Unit. 20.8.46 renamed 138th independent Mixed Aviation Regiment. 11.3.48 renamed 247th independent Mixed Aviation Squadron. 20.10.81 renamed 138th independent Mixed Aviation Regiment. 5.6.96 renamed 202nd independent Mixed Aviation Squadron. 27.4.98 renamed 138th independent Mixed Aviation Regiment. 2004 renamed 87th Aviation Base, and later 549th Aviation Base.The unit has been based at Levashevo since 1960. Aircraft in service have included the Mi-1, Mi-2, Mi-4, Mi-6 (Mi-6VPK and Mi-22 in the 1980s), Mi-8, Li-2, Il-14, An-2, An-14, An-12, An-24/26, Tu-124, Tu-134, 1981-, and the Ilyushin Il-22 from 1981. In 2000, according to the Conventional Forces in Europe treaty data exchange, the unit had 37 Mi-8 and some An-12. In 2009, the unit had two Tu-134s, 6 An-26, 5 An-12 and 5 Mi-8. The unit has been part of: 13th Air Army, 1942–1949 76th Air Army, 1949–1980 VVS Leningrad Military District, 1980–1988 76th Air Army, 1988–1998 6th Air and Air Defence Forces Army VVS and PVO, 1998–present

Levashovo (Russian: Левашово) is a municipal settlement under the administrative jurisdiction of Vyborgsky District of the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia, and a station of the Riihimäki – Saint Petersburg Railway. Population: 3,665 (2010 Census); 4,095 (2002 Census).The building of the station was designed by Bruno Granholm.

Primorsky District (Russian: Примо́рский райо́н "Seaside District") is a district of the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 507,238; up from 393,960 recorded in the 2002 Census.

Lakhta-Olgino Municipal Okrug (Russian: муниципа́льный о́круг Ла́хта-О́льгино) is a municipal okrug of Primorsky District of the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia, comprising that city's historical areas of Lakhta and Olgino. It is located just north of the Gulf of Finland. Population: 3,903 (2010 Census); 2,901 (2002 Census).

Pargolovo (Russian: Па́рголово, Finnish: Parkala, German: Pargola) is a municipal settlement in the Vyborgsky District of Saint Petersburg, Russia. Until the late 20th century, it was the city's northern suburb. The name derives from Parkola, a Karelian placename. Its population in 2010 was 15,852. Pargolovo was a family seat of the junior line of the Counts Shuvalov, starting with Peter Ivanovich Shuvalov who received the Pargolovo manor from Empress Elizabeth in 1746. His Baroque palace was rebuilt by Stepan Krichinsky (1874-1923) as a Neoclassical villa for the estate's last owner, Count Illarion Ivanovich Vorontsov-Dashkov. A smaller palace, designed by Harald Julius von Bosse, dates from the mid-19th century.The Shuvalov Park also contains a network of old ponds; the Yellow Dacha, a wooden lodge designed by Maximilian Messmacher for his own family; the Parnassus hill, which used to offer views of the capital's downtown; and the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, built in the 1840s to a Gothic Revival design by Alexander Brullov. It was at this church that Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov married Nadezhda Purgold in 1872. Just west of Pargolovo lies the Northern Cemetery, the second largest in Saint Petersburg. It was established in 1874. Notable burials include Georgy Gapon (1906), Vasily Vereshchagin (1909), Vladimir Propp (1970), Mikhail Artamonov (1972), Alexander Belov (1978), Sergey Filippov (1990).

North-West Thermal Power Plant (Russian: Северо - Западная ТЭЦ) is a cogeneration power station (TETs) in Saint-Petersburg, owned by Inter RAO UES. This is a first power station in Russia to use combined cycle.

Lake Lakhta (Russian: Лахтинский разлив; Lakhtinsky razliv; from Finnish lahti, 'gulf') is a lake (or inlet) in St. Petersburg's Primorsky District connected to the Neva Bay of the Baltic Sea by the 500-meter-long Bobylka River. The Kamenka, Glukharka and Yuntolovka rivers empty into the lake. Its area is 1.76 km², with the maximum depth of 8.3 meters. The lakeside village of Lakhta takes its name from the lake. Along the eastern shore extends the neighbourhood of Kolomäki. The lake belongs to the Yuntolovsky Reserve, zakaznik established in 1999 to conserve the nature of the nearby wetlands, providing, among other things, habitat for a significant population of the shrub Myrica gale, which is protected in Russia.

Lenin’s hovel, also known as the Shalash (Russian for "hut"), was a temporary hideout constructed in July 1917 in the meadows of Sestroretsk near Lake Razliv, outside Petrograd. It served as a secluded refuge for Vladimir Lenin and Grigory Zinoviev following the failed July Days uprising.

Lakhta railway station (Russian: Ста́нция Ла́хта) is a railway station in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was named after the historical district of Lakhta-Olgino Municipal Okrug. The station was built by JSC Prinorskaya St. Peterburg–Sestroretsk railway and it was opened on 12 July 1894 as part of the opening section between Uzlovaya and Lakhta. It was considered as a terminal until on 31 October 1894, the line was lengthened to Razdelnaya, what is now Lisy Nos railway station.

Vyborgsky District (Russian: Вы́боргский райо́н, tr. Výborgskiy raión, IPA: [ˈvɨbərkskʲɪj rɐˈjɵn]) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the 18 in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
