Pont Marie

Pont Marie (French pronunciation: ​[pɔ̃ maʁi]) is a station of the Paris Métro opened in 1926 with the extension of Line 7 from Palais Royal–Musée du Louvre. It is named after the nearby bridge over the Seine, the Pont Marie, which connects to Île Saint-Louis.

The Cité internationale des arts is an artist-in-residence building which accommodates artists of all specialities and nationalities in Paris. It comprises two sites, one located in the Marais and the other in Montmartre.

Berthillon is a French manufacturer and retailer of luxury ice cream and sorbet, with its primary store on the Île Saint-Louis, in Paris, France. The company is owned and operated by the Chauvin family, descendants of the eponymous Monsieur Berthillon, who from 1954 operated a restaurant called "Le Bourgogne".The ice cream shop became famous in 1961 when a French restaurant guide Gault Millau wrote about "this astonishing ice cream shop hidden in a bistro on the Ile Saint-Louis."Raymond Berthillon, founder of Berthillon, died on 9 August 2014.

Saint-Louis en l'Île (French pronunciation: ​[sɛ̃ lwi ɑ̃ l‿il] meaning "Saint Louis on the Island") is a Roman Catholic parish church located at 19 Rue Saint-Louis en l'Île on Île Saint-Louis in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, France.

Île Saint-Louis (French: [il sɛ̃ lwi]), eleven hectares (27 acres) in size, is one of two natural islands in the Seine river, in Paris, France (the other natural island is the Île de la Cité, where Notre-Dame de Paris is located). Île Saint-Louis is connected to the rest of Paris by four bridges to both banks of the river and to the Île de la Cité by the Pont Saint-Louis.The island is located within the 4th arrondissement of Paris and has a population of 4,453.

The Hôtel de Sens (French pronunciation: ​[otɛl də sɑ̃s]) or Hôtel des archevêques de Sens is a medieval hôtel particulier, or private mansion, in the Marais, in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, France. It nowadays houses the Forney art library.

The Hôtel d'Aumont is a former hôtel particulier, at 7, rue de Jouy, in the 4th arrondissement of Paris; it was built as the seat of the ducs d'Aumont. It is sited in the south of the Marais, facing rue de l’hôtel de Ville, quai de l’hôtel de Ville and the River Seine.

The Hôtel Hesselin, later known as the Hôtel d'Ambrun, was a Parisian town house (hôtel particulier), erected around 1639 to 1642 for Louis Hesselin to the designs of the French architect Louis Le Vau. It was located on the Île Saint-Louis, on the west side of the rue Poulletier at its intersection with the quai du Dauphin (now 24 quai de Béthune, 4th arrondissement of Paris). The hotel was demolished in 1935 by Helena Rubinstein, who had a new building erected to the designs of the architect Louis Sue.

The Club des Hashischins (sometimes also spelled Club des Hashishins or Club des Hachichins, "Club of the Hashish-Eaters") was a Parisian group dedicated to the exploration of drug-induced experiences, notably with hashish. Members included Victor Hugo, Alexandre Dumas, Charles Baudelaire, Gérard de Nerval, and Honoré de Balzac.

The Paris Institute for Advanced Study (Paris IAS, or Institut d'études avancées de Paris) is an international research center that offers fellowships to researchers from all over the world in the field of humanities and social sciences. It is also open to other disciplines, in particular the life sciences, for projects in dialogue with the humanities and social sciences. The institute was designed to foster high level research, international and interdisciplinary exchanges and the development of new methods and research objects. The Paris IAS hosts yearly an average of twenty five researchers for stays of five to ten months.
