The Forney Library (French: Bibliothèque Forney) is part of the network of heritage and specialized libraries of the City of Paris.

The Lycée Charlemagne is located in the Marais quarter of the 4th arrondissement of Paris, the capital city of France. Constructed many centuries before it became a lycée, the building originally served as the home of the Order of the Jesuits. The lycée itself was founded by Napoléon Bonaparte and celebrated its bicentennial in 2004. The lycée is directly connected to the Collège Charlemagne (formerly known as le petit lycée) which is located directly across from it, on the Rue Charlemagne. Also the lycée offers two-year courses preparing students for entry to the Grandes écoles, divided into seven classes: three first-year classes: two of mathematics, physics, and engineering science one of physics, chemistry, and engineering science four second-year classes: two of mathematics and physics two of physics and chemistry.

The rue Charlemagne is a street in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, in the Saint-Gervais quarter, near the Saint-Paul quarter.

The Hôtel d'Aumont is a former hôtel particulier, at 7, rue de Jouy, in the 4th arrondissement of Paris; it was built as the seat of the ducs d'Aumont. It is sited in the south of the Marais, facing rue de l’hôtel de Ville, quai de l’hôtel de Ville and the River Seine.

The Professed House was a Jesuit professed house in Paris, built on the rue Saint-Antoine in Le Marais. Its site between rue Saint-Paul, rue Saint-Antoine and rue Charlemagne are now occupied by the lycée Charlemagne. It welcomed theologians and scientists and was in a quarter lived in by the nobility. The église Saint-Louis (now église Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis) was built nearby.

Pont Marie (French pronunciation: ​[pɔ̃ maʁi]) is a station of the Paris Métro opened in 1926 with the extension of Line 7 from Palais Royal–Musée du Louvre. It is named after the nearby bridge over the Seine, the Pont Marie, which connects to Île Saint-Louis.

The Club des Hashischins (sometimes also spelled Club des Hashishins or Club des Hachichins, "Club of the Hashish-Eaters") was a Parisian group dedicated to the exploration of drug-induced experiences, notably with hashish. Members included Victor Hugo, Alexandre Dumas, Charles Baudelaire, Gérard de Nerval, and Honoré de Balzac.

The Hôtel de Lauzun is a 17th-century hôtel particulier, or private mansion, located on the Quai d'Anjou of the île Saint-Louis in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, France. It is among the few Parisian hôtels that retain their rich carved, painted, mirrored and gilded interiors from the time of Louis XIV.

The Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP; European house of photography), located in the historic heart of Paris, is a center for contemporary photographic art opened in February 1996.

The Paris Institute for Advanced Study (Paris IAS, or Institut d'études avancées de Paris) is an international research center that offers fellowships to researchers from all over the world in the field of humanities and social sciences. It is also open to other disciplines, in particular the life sciences, for projects in dialogue with the humanities and social sciences. The institute was designed to foster high level research, international and interdisciplinary exchanges and the development of new methods and research objects. The Paris IAS hosts yearly an average of twenty five researchers for stays of five to ten months.

The Pont Marie is a bridge which crosses the Seine in Paris, France. The bridge links the Île Saint-Louis to the quai de l'Hôtel de Ville and is one of three bridges designed to allow traffic flow between the Île Saint-Louis and the Left and Right banks of Paris. The Pont Marie links the Right Bank and is the counterpart of the Pont de la Tournelle which is built along the same line but serves to connect the Île Saint-Louis with the Left Bank.

The quai des Célestins runs along the Seine in Paris' 4th arrondissement. The quay, or dock, runs into the quai Henri-IV upstream, and downstream becomes the quai de l'Hôtel-de-Ville.
