Unterpremstätten

Premstätten is since January 2016 a new market town with 5,784 residents (as of 1 January 2016) in Graz-Umgebung District of Styria, Austria. However, it was previously founded in January 2015 as the town name "Unterpremstätten-Zettling". The municipality was founded as part of the Styria municipal structural reform, on 31 December 2014, from the dissolved independent municipalities Unterpremstätten and Zettling.One petition from the municipality Zettling against merging, at the Constitutional Court, was introduced but was unsuccessful.After a corresponding municipal council, the municipality carries since 2016 the name "Premstätten".

Schwarzl Freizeit Zentrum is an indoor arena in Premstätten, Austria. It currently holds 5,000 spectators and is hosts indoor sporting events such as tennis and basketball. It hosted the 1994 Davis Cup tennis match between Austria and Germany.Colombian Superstar, Shakira, brought her The Sun Comes Out World Tour to the venue on June 11, 2011.

Dobl Transmitter was a facility for medium wave broadcasting at Dobl, Styria, Austria, built in 1939–1941. It used as antenna a 156-metre (511 ft) high guyed mast of lattice steel, which was guyed in two levels at 113 and 73 metres (371 and 240 ft). Dobl Transmitter was shut down in 1984 and is now a technical museum.

Swiss International Air Lines Flight 1885 was a scheduled international passenger flight operated by Swiss International Air Lines from Bucharest Airport in Bucharest, Romania, to Zurich Airport in Zurich, Switzerland. On 23 December 2024, the Airbus A220-300 experienced an engine failure at FL400, leading to smoke entering the cabin. An emergency landing was performed at Graz Airport, Austria, and all 79 occupants were evacuated via emergency slides. One crew member was airlifted to a hospital in Graz and died on 30 December 2024, a week after the accident. This was the first fatal accident involving Swiss International Air Lines and the Airbus A220.
