Wherry Lines

Reedham railway station is on the Wherry Lines in the East of England, serving the village of Reedham, Norfolk. It is 12 miles 13 chains (19.6 km) down the line from Norwich and is situated between Cantley to the west and, to the east, Berney Arms on the Great Yarmouth branch or Haddiscoe on the Lowestoft branch. It is commonly suffixed as Reedham (Norfolk) in order to distinguish it from the station of the same name in south London. Its three-letter station code is REE. The station is currently managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates all trains serving the station. The majority of services run between Norwich and Lowestoft, but three trains per day run to and from Great Yarmouth via the remote Berney Arms station. Services are operated by the brand new Stadler FLIRT Class 755 bi-mode multiple units, which entered service on the Wherry Lines in autumn 2019.

The Reedham Ferry Drainage Mill, also known as The Red Mill is a former drainage windmill found on the River Yare on The Broads in Norfolk. It is now a privately owned holiday home.

Reedham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk and within The Broads. It is on the north bank of the River Yare, 12 miles (19 km) east of the city of Norwich, 7.5 mi (12.1 km) south-west of the town of Great Yarmouth and the same distance north-west of the Suffolk town of Lowestoft.The village's name means 'Reedy homestead/village' or 'reedy hemmed-in land'.

Reedham Ferry is a vehicular chain ferry across the River Yare in the English county of Norfolk, in the Broads. The ferry crosses the river near the village of Reedham and is the only crossing of the Yare between the bridge carrying the A47 on the eastern outskirts of Norwich and Great Yarmouth, saving users a journey of over 30 miles. The ferry is also the only remaining vehicle ferry in Norfolk. The current ferryboat was built in 1983 and can carry three cars at a time. Reedham Ferry is also the name of an inn standing adjacent to the ferry on the northern bank.

Reedham Swing Bridge, on the site of a Victorian swing bridge, is still in use at Reedham, Norfolk, England.It carries the Wherry railway line, between Norwich and Lowestoft, across the River Yare near Reedham railway station.The original single track bridge was commissioned by Sir Samuel Morton Peto in the 1840s to allow the passage of wherry boats, which were too tall to pass under conventional bridges. The current bridge dates from 1902 to 1903 prior to the doubling of the track.The bridge is operated from the 1904 Reedham Swing Bridge signal box. In a typical year, it is opened 1,300 times.

The River Chet is a small river in South Norfolk, England, a tributary of the River Yare. It rises in Poringland and flows eastwards through Alpington, Bergh Apton, Thurton and Loddon. At Loddon it passes under the A146 through Loddon Mill and into Loddon Staithe. From this point onwards the river is navigable. It then passes Hardley Flood to the north, a nature reserve part-managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. The river finally joins the River Yare one mile west of Reedham at Hardley Cross, erected in 1676, which marks the ancient boundary between the City of Norwich and the Borough of Great Yarmouth. The total navigable length is some 3½ miles.

Limpenhoe Meadows is a 12-hectare (30-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Reedham in Norfolk. It is part of the Broadland Ramsar site and Special Protection Area, and The Broads Special Area of Conservation.This area of unimproved fen grassland in the valley of the River Yare has a network of dykes. The soils vary from alluvial clays in the valley bottom to poorly drained peats higher up. The meadows are species-rich with some uncommon plants. Aquatic plants in the dykes include the nationally rare sharp-leaved pondweed.The site is private land with no public access.

Freethorpe is a village and civil parish in the English of Norfolk. The village is located 7.2 miles (11.6 km) south-west of Great Yarmouth and 11 miles (18 km) south-east of Great Yarmouth, located within the Norfolk Broads.

Limpenhoe is a village and former civil parish, now in the Cantley, Limpenhoe and Southwood, in the Broadland district, in the county of Norfolk, England. It is located on the north bank of the River Yare, between the villages of Cantley and Reedham, 8.2 miles (13.2 km) south-west of Great Yarmouth and 10.8 miles (17.4 km) south-east of Norwich. In 1931 the parish had a population of 156.Limpenhoe is home to Limpenhoe Meadows, a site of Special Scientific Interest and the church of St Boltolph, a village hall and a private fishing lake. According to the local legend of Callow Pit, the handle on the door of St Boltolphs church was originally from a treasure chest guarded by the devil in a nearby bog. The village sign was designed by local artist Sue McNeil and was erected in 2012.Situated within the marshes of Limpenhoe is a drainage mill first commissioned by William Thorold in 1831, however it requires extensive restoration.

Halvergate Windmill is a tower mill in Halvergate, Norfolk, United Kingdom. It was built in 1866 and worked until 1935, when it was burnt out. The mill is subject to a protracted restoration effort. It is a Grade II listed building.

Norton Subcourse is a small village and parish in the county of Norfolk, England, about 9 miles (14 km) south-west of Great Yarmouth. It covers an area of 2,233 acres (904 ha) and had a population of 303 in 115 households at the 2001 census, reducing to a population of 298 in 119 households at the 2011 Census. The villages name means 'North farm/settlement'. The village was held by the Subcourse family, possibly a corruption of 'Surlecors'. Its church, St Mary, is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk. Norton Subcourse is mentioned in the Domesday Book as one of the settlements in Clavering hundred.

Southwood is a hamlet and former civil parish, 10 miles (16 km) east of Norwich, now in the parish of Cantley, Limpenhoe and Southwood, in the Broadland district, in the county of Norfolk, England. In 1931 the parish had a population of 40. It has a church called St Edmund which is in ruins. Southwood Hall is a post medieval great house and serves as a wedding venue.
