Thurlton is a small village in South Norfolk, located 14 miles (22 km) south-east of the city of Norwich, and 9 miles (15 km) west of the Suffolk coastal town of Lowestoft. The villages name means 'Thorferth's farm/settlement'. Thurlton is on the edge of the Broadland marshes to the south of the River Yare, and is bordered by Norton Subcourse to the west of the river. The population of the parish at the 2001 census was 720, increasing to 779 at the 2011 Census. The area around the village is mainly agricultural. Thurlton is home to the Great Goliath Mill, a brick built windmill. The village has basic amenities, including a pub, shop and post office. Thurlton Primary School has about 100 pupils, including a ‘classroom of the future’ extension, complete with a wind turbine.

Raveningham (pronounced "Ran-ing'm") is a small village and parish in the county of Norfolk, England, about 13 miles (21 km) south-east of Norwich. It covers an area of 1,990 acres (810 ha) and had a population of 157 in 61 households at the 2001 census, the population increasing to 162 at the 2011 Census.Raveningham is mentioned in the Domesday Book as one of the settlements in Clavering hundred. Raveningham Hall is the home of Sir Nicholas and Lady Bacon: Raveningham Hall Gardens are open to the public once a year as part of the National Gardens Scheme. Located within the premises is St Andrews church, one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk.

Reedham Ferry is a vehicular chain ferry across the River Yare in the English county of Norfolk, in the Broads. The ferry crosses the river near the village of Reedham and is the only crossing of the Yare between the bridge carrying the A47 on the eastern outskirts of Norwich and Great Yarmouth, saving users a journey of over 30 miles. The ferry is also the only remaining vehicle ferry in Norfolk. The current ferryboat was built in 1983 and can carry three cars at a time. Reedham Ferry is also the name of an inn standing adjacent to the ferry on the northern bank.

The Reedham Ferry Drainage Mill, also known as The Red Mill is a former drainage windmill found on the River Yare on The Broads in Norfolk. It is now a privately owned holiday home.

The River Chet is a small river in South Norfolk, England, a tributary of the River Yare. It rises in Poringland and flows eastwards through Alpington, Bergh Apton, Thurton and Loddon. At Loddon it passes under the A146 through Loddon Mill and into Loddon Staithe. From this point onwards the river is navigable. It then passes Hardley Flood to the north, a nature reserve part-managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. The river finally joins the River Yare one mile west of Reedham at Hardley Cross, erected in 1676, which marks the ancient boundary between the City of Norwich and the Borough of Great Yarmouth. The total navigable length is some 3½ miles.

Raveningham Hall is a country house in Norfolk, England, about 10 miles (16 km) south-east of Norwich. There are 10 acres of gardens, and it has a rural estate of 5,500 acres. It is home to Sir Nicholas Bacon, 14th and 15th Baronet, and his family.The hall is a Grade II* listed building, listed on 25 September 1951.

Reedham Swing Bridge, on the site of a Victorian swing bridge, is still in use at Reedham, Norfolk, England.It carries the Wherry railway line, between Norwich and Lowestoft, across the River Yare near Reedham railway station.The original single track bridge was commissioned by Sir Samuel Morton Peto in the 1840s to allow the passage of wherry boats, which were too tall to pass under conventional bridges. The current bridge dates from 1902 to 1903 prior to the doubling of the track.The bridge is operated from the 1904 Reedham Swing Bridge signal box. In a typical year, it is opened 1,300 times.

Reedham railway station is on the Wherry Lines in the East of England, serving the village of Reedham, Norfolk. It is 12 miles 13 chains (19.6 km) down the line from Norwich and is situated between Cantley to the west and, to the east, Berney Arms on the Great Yarmouth branch or Haddiscoe on the Lowestoft branch. It is commonly suffixed as Reedham (Norfolk) in order to distinguish it from the station of the same name in south London. Its three-letter station code is REE. The station is currently managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates all trains serving the station. The majority of services run between Norwich and Lowestoft, but three trains per day run to and from Great Yarmouth via the remote Berney Arms station. Services are operated by the brand new Stadler FLIRT Class 755 bi-mode multiple units, which entered service on the Wherry Lines in autumn 2019.

Heckingham is a small village and parish in the county of Norfolk, England, about a mile east of Loddon. It covers an area of 4.46 km2 (1.72 sq mi) and had a population of 143 in 53 households at the 2001 census, increasing to 179 at the 2011 census.

Toft Monks is a village and parish in Norfolk, England. It is located on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk about eleven miles southwest of Great Yarmouth and four miles north of Beccles. In 2001, the parish is recorded as accommodating 324 people in 131 households over 687 hectares[1], increasing to 348 at the 2011 Census.The local church in the village is dedicated to St. Margaret and was originally constructed in the 13th century. Toft Monks House is a Grade II listed Regency house built for local merchant William Grimmer in 1819.
