USS Boston (CA-69/CAG-1), a Baltimore-class heavy cruiser and later a Boston-class guided missile cruiser, was the sixth ship of the United States Navy to be named for the U.S. city of Boston, Massachusetts. Boston was launched 26 August 1942 by Bethlehem Steel Company's, Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, Massachusetts sponsored by Mrs Helen Noonan Tobin, wife of the Mayor of Boston, Maurice J. Tobin and commissioned 30 June 1943.

USS Cassin Young (DD-793) is a Fletcher-class destroyer of the U.S. Navy named for Captain Cassin Young (1894–1942), who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism at the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and killed in the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal in the fall of 1942. Cassin Young (DD-793) was launched 12 September 1943 by Bethlehem Shipbuilding, San Pedro, California; sponsored by Mrs. Eleanor Young; and commissioned on 31 December 1943, Commander E. T. Schrieber in command. After serving in World War II, including the Battle of Leyte Gulf and the Battle of Okinawa, Cassin Young was decommissioned, but was reactivated during the Korean War and continued in active service until 1960. She is preserved today as a memorial ship, berthed at Boston Navy Yard in Massachusetts, across from the USS Constitution. She was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1986 as one of only four surviving Fletcher-class destroyers still afloat. The USS Cassin Young can now be visited seasonally free of charge in the Boston Navy Yard at Boston National Historical Park.

United States Coast Guard Base Boston is located in the North End, Boston, Massachusetts. It is home to a number of cutters, including the USCGC Escanaba (WMEC-907), USCGC Spencer (WMEC-905), USCGC Marlin (WPB-87304), USCGC Pendant (WYTL-65608) and USCGC Seneca (WMEC-906), along with other small fleet units. The small boat station located on the base was re-opened in 2003 after being closed in 1996. It is also home to Flotilla 5-3 of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. On 1 March 2021, the United States Department of Homeland Security solicited bids for base modifications to accommodate six new fast response cutters there. The Coast Guard is expected to take delivery of the first two of these cutters, USCGC William Chadwick (WPC-1150) and USCGC Warren Deyampert (WPC-1151), in the second half of 2022.

Langone Park is a waterfront park in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts. Established in 1973, it is named for Massachusetts state senator Joseph A. Langone, Jr. and his wife Clementina Langone. The park features a Little League Baseball field, a playground, and three bocce courts. It is located on Commercial Street at the edge of Boston Harbor, immediately to the west of the Andrew P. Puopolo Jr. Athletic Field.The first park at the location, North End Beach (later North End Park), was established in 1893 as a public bathing facility.The park includes much of the area inundated by the 1919 Great Molasses Flood.To the southwest the park borders Copp's Hill Terrace and further south is Copp's Hill Burial Ground. Both sites are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In October of 2019, the third secret box was discovered by Jason Krupat, the host of an exploration show Josh Gates, and three construction workers.

The Great Molasses Flood, also known as the Boston Molasses Disaster, was a disaster that occurred on January 15, 1919, in the North End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. A large storage tank filled with 2.3 million US gal (8,700 m3) of molasses, weighing approximately 13,000 short tons (12,000 t), burst, and the resultant wave of molasses rushed through the streets at an estimated 35 mph (56 km/h), killing 21 and injuring 150. The event entered local folklore and residents claimed for decades afterwards that the area still smelled of molasses on hot summer days.

The Ozias Goodwin House is a historic house at 7 Jackson Avenue in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts. It is a two-story brick rowhouse, three bays wide, with brownstone window sills and lintels. The second floor windows are set just below the eave, a typical Federal period detail. The house was built in 1795, and is one of Boston's rare surviving Federal period houses. It was owned by Ozias Goodwin a ship's captain active in the East Indies trade.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Copp's Hill Terrace is an historic terrace and park between Commercial and Charter Streets west of Jackson Avenue on Copp's Hill in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts near Copp's Hill Burying Ground. A landscaped arrangement of granite steps, knee-walls and banisters with cast-iron parapets ascending to a large plaza overlooking Commercial Street and the mouth of the Mystic River, the terrace was designed in the 1890s by landscape architect Charles Eliot of Olmsted, Olmsted and Eliot, and built by Boston contractor Perkins & White. From the terrace, a large crowd observed the destruction wrought by Boston's Great Molasses Flood of 1919. Copp's Hill Terrace was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

USS Constitution, also known as Old Ironsides, is a three-masted wooden-hulled heavy frigate of the United States Navy. She is the world's oldest ship of any type still afloat. She was launched in 1797, one of six original frigates authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794 and the third constructed. The name "Constitution" was among ten names submitted to President George Washington by Secretary of War Timothy Pickering in March of 1795 for the frigates that were to be constructed. Joshua Humphreys designed the frigates to be the young Navy's capital ships, and so Constitution and her sister ships were larger and more heavily armed and built than standard frigates of the period. She was built at Edmund Hartt's shipyard in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts. Her first duties were to provide protection for American merchant shipping during the Quasi-War with France and to defeat the Barbary pirates in the First Barbary War. Constitution is most noted for her actions during the War of 1812 against the United Kingdom, when she captured numerous merchant ships and defeated five smaller British warships: HMS Guerriere, Java, Pictou, Cyane, and Levant. The battle with Guerriere earned her the nickname "Old Ironsides" and public adoration that has repeatedly saved her from scrapping. She continued to serve as flagship in the Mediterranean and African squadrons, and she circled the world in the 1840s. During the American Civil War, she served as a training ship for the United States Naval Academy. She carried American artwork and industrial displays to the Paris Exposition of 1878. Constitution was retired from active service in 1881 and served as a receiving ship until being designated a museum ship in 1907. In 1934, she completed a three-year, 90-port tour of the nation. She sailed under her own power for her 200th birthday in 1997, and again in August 2012 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of her victory over Guerriere. Constitution's stated mission today is to promote understanding of the Navy's role in war and peace through educational outreach, historical demonstration, and active participation in public events as part of the Naval History & Heritage Command. As she is a fully commissioned Navy ship, her crew of 75 officers and sailors participate in ceremonies, educational programs, and special events while keeping her open to visitors year round and providing free tours. The officers and crew are all active-duty Navy personnel, and the assignment is considered to be special duty. She is usually berthed at Pier 1 of the former Charlestown Navy Yard at one end of Boston's Freedom Trail.

Charlestown Naval Shipyard Park is an 11.06-acre (4.48 ha) park in Charlestown's Boston Navy Yard, in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Korean War Memorial is installed in the park. The Charlestown Navy Yard Ferry Terminal extends out from the south side of the park. The Anchor and Navy Yard Commons opened in May 2019.

The USS Constitution Museum is located in the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is part of the Boston National Historical Park in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The museum is situated near the ship USS Constitution at the end of Boston's Freedom Trail. The museum is housed in a restored shipyard building at the foot of Pier 2. The museum, through its collections and interactive exhibits, tells the story of Constitution ("Old Ironsides") and the people who designed, built, and sailed her. The museum is also home to the Samuel Eliot Morison Memorial Library and includes a comprehensive archival repository of records related to the ship's history. The USS Constitution Museum is a private, non-profit organization that is managed separately from the naval ship.

The Massachusetts Korean War Memorial is installed in Charlestown, Boston's Charlestown Naval Shipyard Park, within the Boston Navy Yard, in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The 1993 memorial was commissioned by the Massachusetts Korean War Veterans Committee. It features a bronze sculpture of a soldier on a granite base. The memorial was surveyed by the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1997.

Old North Church (officially, Christ Church in the City of Boston), at 193 Salem Street, in the North End, Boston, is the location from which the famous "One if by land, two if by sea" signal is said to have been sent. This phrase is related to Paul Revere's midnight ride of April 18, 1775, which preceded the Battles of Lexington and Concord during the American Revolution. The church is a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. It was built in 1723 and is the oldest standing church building in Boston and a National Historic Landmark. Inside the church is a bust of George Washington, which Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, reportedly remarked was the best likeness of the first president he had ever seen.
