The Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 5371 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York City. It was established in 1935 as a former mission of Our Lady Help of Christians.

Huguenot is a neighborhood on the South Shore of Staten Island, New York City. Originally named "Bloomingview", it was later named for the Huguenots, led by Daniel Perrin, who settled in the area during the late 17th and early 18th centuries to escape religious persecution. Huguenot is bordered by Arden Heights to the north, Woodrow to the west, Prince's Bay to the south, and Annadale to the east. The neighborhood is represented in the New York City Council by Joe Borelli, who was born and raised there. Huguenot is represented in the New York State Senate by Andrew Lanza and in the New York State Assembly by Michael Reilly.

Tottenville High School is located at 100 Luten Avenue, in Huguenot, Staten Island, New York. Tottenville H.S. is in Administrative District 31, and is operated by the New York City Department of Education. The school's principal is Gina Battista, who assumed the role in 2020. Tottenville H.S. is within walking distance of the Huguenot station of the Staten Island Railway system.

Amboy Road is a major north-south artery along the South-East Shore of the New York City borough of Staten Island. It is approximately 9.1 miles (14.6 km) long. Amboy Rd. was originally part of an extensive Native American trail system used by Algonquian peoples during prehistoric times. Along with parts of Richmond Road and all of Vanderbilt Avenue, Amboy Road forms the last leg of Staten Island's colonial-era eastern corridor that predates the newer, straighter, and wider Hylan Boulevard. The three roads that make up the corridor share a common numbering system, i.e. Richmond Road's numbers start where Vanderbilt Avenue's leave off and Amboy Road's numbers start where Amboy Road forks away from Richmond Road. This numbering system includes the numerically highest of street addresses in New York City. Other roads that fork off of this corridor are: St. Paul's Avenue, Van Duzer Street, Targee Street, Rockland Avenue, Bloomingdale Road, and Richmond Valley Road. Amboy Road also runs within blocks of the Staten Island Railway for the majority of its length. Amboy Road is served by the SIM15 express bus and S57 local bus in the northern section of the road, and the SIM26 express bus and S55 local bus in the southern section of the road.

Woodrow is a neighborhood located on the South Shore of Staten Island, New York, United States. The neighborhood is represented in the New York State Senate by Andrew Lanza, in the New York State Assembly by Michael Reilly, and in the New York City Council by Joe Borelli. The first Methodist church in the immediate New York City area opened in the neighborhood in 1771. Known today as the Woodrow United Methodist Church, its original congregants included some of the island's earliest well-known families. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.Long regarded as the western part of Huguenot, pursuant to the custom of old-time Staten Islanders of naming a particular East Shore or South Shore neighborhood after the nearest station on the Staten Island Railway. The Prince's Bay post office is actually located in Woodrow, as well as I.S. 75.Woodrow is part of Staten Island Community District 3 and its ZIP Code is 10312. Woodrow is patrolled by the 123rd Precinct of the New York City Police Department.

Elias Bernstein Intermediate School 7, also known as I.S.7 and nicknamed "Bernstein", is a middle school located in the Huguenot section of Staten Island, New York. The school serves grades 6–8, and has been operating since 1965. It was named for Elias Bernstein (1890–1950), a prominent Staten Island attorney and civic leader.

The Prince's Bay station is a Staten Island Railway station in the neighborhood of Prince's Bay, Staten Island, New York.

Wolfes Pond Park is a large public park located on Staten Island's South Shore. It is bounded on the south by Holton Avenue, on the east by Raritan Bay, on the west by the Staten Island Railway, and on the north by Chisholm Street, Luten Avenue, and Cornelia Avenue, which is also the main entry into the park's public areas. Hylan Boulevard bisects the park, and most visitors only visit the eastern half of the park, where Wolfes Pond (for which the park is named), two playgrounds, and basketball and tennis courts are located, as well as numerous walking and biking paths, open fields, and a small beach on Raritan Bay. The western, inland half consists mostly of ponds and woodlands, and the northwestern corner hugs Tottenville High School. In 1991 and again in 2011 the dam between the beach and the pond broke, draining the pond of freshwater and flooding it with saltwater. In both cases, this killed the freshwater fish and many of the red-eared slider turtles. Repairs to the dam were completed in November, 2019. From 1941 to the 1970s Robert Moses had planned to build the Wolfe's Pond Parkway into the park from Richmond Parkway. Between 1995 and 1998, the park was upgraded, and public areas were expanded. With this came the addition of the second playground on the east side of the park, as well as the sports areas, a new entrance to the beach, and a new monument to the Battle of the Bulge. Every 4th of July, the park holds a fireworks show, with live entertainment and food venues. This popular show draws hundreds of Staten Island residents from the South Shore and elsewhere every year.

Prince's Bay is the name of a neighborhood located on the South Shore of New York City's borough of Staten Island. Prince's Bay is bordered to the north by Huguenot, to the south by the Raritan Bay, and to the west by Pleasant Plains. The neighborhood is represented in the New York State Senate by Andrew Lanza, in the New York State Assembly by Michael Reilly, and in the New York City Council by Joe Borelli. The neighborhood's name is often mispronounced as "Princess Bay" or "Prince Bay." It is believed the town was originally called Princess Bay for reasons unknown. A 1776 map of Staten Island shows it as Princess Bay. The community's United States Post Office officially bears the name "Princes Bay Station" according to the USPS web site and directory. Prince's Bay's ZIP Code is 10309, which it shares with other South Shore neighborhoods including Charleston, Pleasant Plains and Richmond Valley. The western part of Prince's Bay is now commonly recognized as a separate neighborhood, known as Rossville.

Woodrow Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church at 1109 Woodrow Road in Woodrow, Staten Island, New York. It was built in 1842 and is a wood-frame, clapboard-sided, temple-form Greek Revival style building. It features a portico with four Doric order columns supporting a plain entablature and unadorned pediment. Above the portico is a three-stage, open bell tower and spire in a vernacular Italianate style added in 1876. Also on the property is a two-story clapboard house built about 1850 and expanded in 1860–61.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

5910 Amboy Road is a historic house located at Prince's Bay, Staten Island, New York. It was built about 1840 in the Greek Revival style. It is a frame house, sheathed with clapboard siding with a three bay central section flanked by two "stepped down" flanking wings. It features a central porch with four square paneled columns. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 16, 1982.
