KCVM (93.5 FM) is a commercial radio station located in Evansdale, Iowa, serving the Waterloo–Cedar Falls area. The station broadcasts a hot adult contemporary music format. KCVM is licensed to James Coloff's Coloff Media, LLC. The transmitter and broadcast tower are located northeast of Hudson. According to the Antenna Structure Registration database, the tower is 109 m (358 ft) tall with the FM broadcast antenna mounted at the 104 m (341 ft) level. The calculated height above average terrain is 99 m (325 ft).

KCNZ (1650 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to serve the community of Cedar Falls, Iowa. The station primarily broadcasts a sports radio format. KCNZ is owned by James Coloff, through licensee Coloff Media, LLC, and is an affiliate of Fox Sports Radio. KCNZ carries The Dan Patrick Show and The Jim Rome Show. Play by play on the station includes the Chicago Cubs, Iowa State University football and basketball, the NFL from Westwood One, Waterloo Black Hawks hockey, Waterloo Bucks baseball, and Cedar Falls High School football and basketball. In the event of scheduling conflicts, some events are moved to sister station KCFI.

KKHQ-FM (98.5 MHz), branded as Q98-5, is a radio station serving Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and surrounding cities with a Top 40/CHR format. This station is owned by Townsquare Media. On August 30, 2013, a deal was announced in which Townsquare Media would acquire 53 Cumulus stations, including the then-KOEL-FM, for $238 million. The deal was part of Cumulus' acquisition of Dial Global; Townsquare and Dial Global are both controlled by Oaktree Capital Management. The sale to Townsquare was completed on November 14, 2013; KOEL-FM was one of three stations (along with KCRR and KKHQ-FM) that were placed in a divestiture trust for eventual resale within two years. In December 2016, the Federal Communications Commission approved Townsquare's request to reacquire the stations from the divestiture trust.On December 9, 2020, KOEL-FM and KKHQ-FM swapped frequencies, bringing the KOEL-FM call letters and the country format back to 92.3 FM after 17 years. In return, KKHQ-FM's Top 40/CHR format moved to 98.5 and rebranded as "Q98.5".

The C.A. Rownd Round Barn is a historic building located in Cedar Falls, Iowa, United States. It was built in 1911 by C.A. Rownd. It is constructed of ashlar-faced blocks that Rownd manufactured on the site. The barn was featured in the April 1912 edition of The Farm Cement News, which was published by Universal Portland Cement. The building is a true round barn that measures 83 feet (25 m) in diameter. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1986.

The McLeod Center is a 7,018-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in Cedar Falls, Iowa, USA, currently housing the university's teams in men's and women's basketball, and women's volleyball. The arena opened on November 18, 2006, with a volleyball game against Bradley. The other three UNI teams made their debuts in the facility over the next three days — men's basketball versus Milwaukee on November 19, women's basketball against Iowa State on November 20, and wrestling versus Iowa on November 21. The McLeod Center replaced the UNI-Dome as the home of the university's basketball teams and West Gymnasium as the home of the volleyball and wrestling teams (the wrestling squad moved back to the West Gym after the 2007-2008 season). The McLeod Center is located on the west end of the campus, directly south of the UNI-Dome and connected by a covered walkway that also houses an extensive athletic hall of fame.A video board is located on the south wall with home and visiting team scoreboards on either side showing the players' game information. There are two scoreboards on the north side and ribbon boards above the concession stands on the east and west sides.Since opening, the arena has had quite a significant positive economic impact for the university. It brings in $20–25 million annually, doubled the attendance of basketball games, and has almost 400,000 visitors a year.The arena also hosts commencement ceremonies throughout the year and can be used for recreation upon request.During the 2009-2010, 2014-2015, and 2019-2020 men's basketball seasons, the team was undefeated at the McLeod Center. For the first time in venue history, they sold out every seat for a women's basketball game against the Iowa Hawkeyes and Caitlin Clark on November 12, 2023.

UNI-Dome (pronounced "YOU-nih-dome") is a multi-purpose stadium, on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, United States. It opened in 1976, as the home of the UNI Panthers basketball and football teams. The facility's capacity for football is 16,324. For basketball, its official capacity is 16,324; however, it has seated as many as 22,000 for events such as the 1990 Mid-Continent Conference men's basketball tournament and the 1997 NCAA Division I National Wrestling Championships. It has been the home of the Iowa State High School football championships, since 1976 and has hosted junior college football bowl games, wrestling, track and field, softball, concerts and conventions.

O. R. Latham Stadium was an outdoor stadium, on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. It was named in honor the Northern Iowa's third president, Orval Ray Latham. Following a post-war enrollment boom, the mezzanine level was converted into Stadium Hall, a men's dormitory that opened for the Fall 1947 semester. This space had housed military personnel during World War II. Plans announced for the conversion in 1946 called for accommodations for 160 students. The last students moved out of Stadium Hall in November 1961. The West Stadium was demolished in the summer of 1976. In the summer of 1987 the East Stadium was demolished.
